This location has good, attentive in-person staff; however, no one answers the telephone. We tried…read moreto make arrangements by phone to pick up new glasses, but we could not reach anyone. After two days and a couple of dozen attempts, we gave up. This forces us to travel to the store, which is 70 kilometres away, without sufficient information. Lenscrafter, you can do better than this!

I tried to use Costco Optometry like some other Yelpers suggested. It was a zoo, and the nice lady tried to help but had to run back and forth to deal with so many customers, she couldn't recommend a good frame. The selection was really poor too. I am talking maybe 100 pairs total. So off to Iris... now we are into seriously expensive. The girl said there is $100 cash back offer, but the fine print showed that you have to buy every coating known to man to qualify for cash back. So we trudged on back over to Lenscrafters where we have been customers for 7 years. Here are the things you should know : 1. The manager, Jean Paul is so great to deal with. He lent my husband his own glasses to walk around outside and test the transitions lenses. 2. The price compared to Iris for some frames is the same, and many better but the selection is huge. 3. If you can't get in to see the eye doctor, and you buy your glasses and in three months have a prescription change, they redo the lenses for free. 4. I have tested the "if you don't like your glasses return them" a few years ago and they do it with a smile. 5. Katie the great optician spent 45 minutes with our family, and then took photos of us in our top ten glasses so we could compare from on to the other on screen. 6. I noticed the manager inspecting personally every pair of glasses that came out of the lab before he called the owner to fetch them. He sent one pair back because the finish polish wasn't smooth enough... The customer service was fantastic, and they genuinely tried to help me stay in my budget. (With marginal success) And best of all, they reminded me to give them my BCAA membership number and I got 30% off both pairs! So I am back at Lenscrafters a little shamed....

I discovered Inspired Eyes through my insurance provider's app while searching for an optometrist…read morethat offers direct billing. When I visited their website, I noticed the doctor looked quite young, which made me curious about his experience. Still, something about the team's welcoming faces encouraged me to give it a try. I've worn glasses since I was 14--now I'm 62--and I've visited many optometrists over the years. I expected a typical visit, but what I experienced was truly exceptional. The technician who first saw me used state-of-the-art equipment and kindly explained each step of the process, making sure I was comfortable. The eye exam with Dr. Walker was the most thorough and informative I've ever had. He was patient, professional, and made me feel genuinely cared for. While waiting for my eyes to dilate, I met with the optician, who took time to understand my specific needs--how I use my glasses, my work setup, monitor distances, and more. Despite my limited budget, she never rushed me or pressured me into buying something I couldn't afford. She offered many options until we found the right fit. Dr. Walker later checked my eye pressure and explained the results clearly, even offering tips to protect my eyes. Another optician then helped me finalize my lens selection based on my budget and insurance coverage. Though I only purchased lenses this time, I was impressed they welcomed customers bringing their own frames--unlike some places that discourage it or give disclaimers about potential damage. I was able to choose the right lenses for my needs today. I truly wish I had purchased a full pair of glasses here because they have such a beautiful collection. To sum up: from their cutting-edge technology to their knowledge, kindness, and outstanding service, Inspired Eyes exceeded all expectations. I'll definitely return and highly recommend them. Thanks to all the staff! Have you ever received an email from your doctor summarizing your visit and offering personalized lifestyle recommendations for your eye health--just 10 minutes after leaving the clinic? I did. I even saw him with another patient right after me. Wow!

After my check up, Inspired Eyes ordered me samples of both for free. They told me to try them out and to come back in a few weeks to order whichever one felt the most comfortable. After trying them both out, I decided to stay with my daily lenses. When I came back to order them, Dr. Walker wanted to double check the fit one last time. While he was doing this, Lana fixed my sunglasses for free. I ended up placing an order for 90 days of disposable lenses and they arrived 2 days later. I feel like all of this combined is the definition of going above & beyond! Also I feel like it's super important (and comforting) to know your Optometrist cares so much. Thank you thank you Lana & Dr. Walker for all your help! I will forever go to Inspired Eyes!

Great experience, excellent care, even better than expected results, and exceptional customer…read moreservice! Knowledgeable, attentive, considerate, and effective. Highly recommended! As a RCAF Pilot and ex-engineer, extensive research led me to choose this centre for my eye surgery. Over five months after the surgery, I'm incredibly happy with the results and with the service and care I continue to receive along the way.

I spent a lot of time, like you likely have, doing research and looking at different venues that…read moreperform this procedure and was excited for the laser surgery to have better vision. It seems the vast majority of people have very good success here but my experience was not good. My results weren't good. Most disappointing was Dr. Baldasarre's dismissive demeanour when I brought my concerns to him post surgery. First the good. Clinic is very clean. There are some wonderful people there namely Emily and Brittaney who were very good at explaining the process, and doing the pre-op testing. The day of the surgery was simple and straightforward. Your concerns will disappear as the process is incredibly quick and painless. Vivid has a bit of an assembly line going on as they have a lot of patients through on surgery day but everything seemed to go as expected. They sent me home with eye protective covers and drops and a schedule for utilizing them. Check up the next day was OK. Went in and was advised things would heal over the next few months. Was excited to see how my vision would be after the goggles disappeared. Weeks and months later my vision wasn't great. Night vision now was much much worse. Signs were blurry. I couldn't read the credits at the movie theatre. Went in for follow up appointments to see what could be done and on the third appointment Dr. Baldassarre came in and was terrible to speak with. He was entirely dismissive, cut me off repeatedly while trying to tell him what my concerns were, and eventually told me that "your vision is better than before... you should be happy with that.". I left feeling disheartened and disappointed, as well as being over $4000.00 poorer for results that weren't as described. Prior to the surgery I put on some lenses at Vivid to see what my vision "should" have ended up like and that's not what I ended up with. I have a floating blind spot in my right eye now, and have had independent Optometrists check out my vision to see what's going on. The solution: Glasses and a lifetime of drops. I should have saved the money and just had a different prescription. Their 20/20 guarantee on the site isn't worth the paper it's written on. Despite my vision not improving significantly Dr. Baldassarre hasn't expressed any interest in resolving my problem. Once they have your money; you're on your own. I hope if you do go through with the surgery you have fantastic results. If you don't, I wouldn't count on this Dr. doing anything for you other than shuffling you out the door after dismissing your concerns. Will be posting this to Google as well as folks need to hear about what happens when things don't go as planned at this clinic.
