I wish I could give 0 stars. The customer service at this store is beyond disappointing. The seamstress refused to listen to my concerns and said verbatim "maybe you should find another store" when I asked "is there anyway you can get it to me before 12 days, I'm traveling for a trip". In the middle of the conversation, she walked away to the back of the store and ignored me. I would never recommend anyone to this cleaners. The lady at the front was also ignoring the entire scene and refuses to speak. Poor customer service, I feel terrible for the owners. read more

I have only ever used their dry cleaning services so I cannot speak to the quality of the alternations; however, the dry cleaning I have taken there was done correctly and quickly. I have been using this location for about 3 years and have never had an issues. I normally take 2-3 suits, 10 shirts, 5 pants, and 2-4 sport coats each month. Prices are very reasonable and work is done well. The staff is friendly and is willing to work with any schedule - even a 24 turn around time - without extra fees. They do not cut corners here. I like heavy starch in my shirts to maintain a crisp clean professional look - often places claim to add starch but really don't. Sun Cleaners adds plenty of starch and doesn't charge me for it! The one item about Sun Cleaners that I sets them apart from other cleaners I ha e used is how trustworthy the staff are. When things are left in my pockets I ALWAYS get them back. I've gotten back coins, pens, business cards, cash, receipts, and other items. They MAKE sure that nothing is misplaced and even have saved cuff links or lapel pins that in a moment of haste or exhaustion I left on my clothes and then dropped off. With them. If there was a negative rating, I would give this establishment that. I have ben using the same dry cleaners for as long as I can remember, but they've been experiencing staffing shortages and have been closed lately so I decided to give this dry cleaners a shot. I thought it was a fluke when I picked up my clothes 2 weeks ago and they smelled so bad that I let their air outside for a week, and they still smelled! While I was picking up this order I made the mistake of dropping off another, not knowing how bad the clothes smelled. The second order also stinks so now I have 2 orders hanging outside that I keep hoping doesn't get rained on that I spray down daily with Lysol to try to get the rancid smell out. It's a cross between B.O. and perhaps the restaurant located near the cleaners. Just typing this is making me sick to my stomach thinking of the smell..... read more

Such a life saver! I needed a last minute tailoring of a dress shirt for a wedding (i left mine behind in San Diego and bought a new one as soon as I landed in PA). He did a really great job measuring, tailoring and pressing it - all in under 4 hours! Not a very warm demeanor at the time of request but he was much more friendly when I showed up on time to pick it up. I wouldn't hesitate to use him as my personal tailor if I lived in Harrisburg. read more

I brought three gowns here to be altered. Before leaving them I asked the Asian woman how much she would charge me. She told me $30 for two of the dresses and $20 for the third. After putting them on and having her mark the dress for the length I wanted, she then told me she would need to charge me more for two of the dresses. She said she didn't realize there were more than one layer on the dresses. $50, $35, and $20 is what she told me it would be. I was irritated that she did this, but my coworker had suggested this place, so I went with it. When I came back to pick the dresses up, a man helped me. He told me he needed to talk to me about the dresses. He proceeded to tell me the woman didn't charge me enough for the dresses and that there would need to be an up charge on two of the dresses, that he was allowed to do this. Of course, I refused to pay for the up charge and also let him know it's against the law for him to do that, without my consent. He told me the woman that initially helped me doesn't speak "good english" and she told me the wrong price (I had no problem communicating with the woman). Again, I refused to pay the up charge and ended up leaving with the original price I was given. I gave this place two stars because the quality of the hem was actually very well.
