I am forever grateful for the KinderCare at Deerwood. Over 25 years ago, I entrusted my three…read morechildren to their care, and now my grandson is thriving in their outstanding program. The longevity and dedication of the staff are truly remarkable--when I enrolled my grandson, I went to register him with my now 27-year-old son, and Ms. Roz, who taught my son decades ago, immediately recognized him. Ms. Ellie, the director, has grown with the center from an entry-level position to her current leadership role, which speaks volumes about the positive environment and staff retention. I have complete confidence that my grandson is safe, well-cared for, and genuinely loved by his teachers. He is excelling academically--already beginning to read at age four--and I credit KinderCare for his impressive progress. The communication from the center is excellent. Ms. Ellie is always responsive, approachable, and goes above and beyond to address any questions, even after hours. She listens carefully and clearly takes great pride in her work, which is reflected in the nurturing atmosphere she helps create. KinderCare at Deerwood is truly exceptional, and I highly recommend them to any family seeking a caring, high-quality early learning environment. The center also offers wonderful additional programs, such as a cooking class that teaches valuable life skills--I recently signed my grandson up and am excited for him to participate. This program is worth every penny spent. The outcome is the best investment I have ever made.

I called kindercare and Ellie, the director, was always there to support me and answer any questions I had. She assured me they would treat my daughter as one of their own and make sure she was comfortable before making any drastic changes. I was scared to switch her to a new daycare but it was the best decision ever. From her first day in Kindercare, she was eating, drinking her milk, she looks so happy when picking her up, it's so clear that the attention and care she's getting here is what she needed. They've helped her learn to walk, say her first words and she is now transitioning to the toddler class. Everyone from Ellie (the director) to all of her teachers are amazing, down to earth, and so nurturing and loving. You won't regret putting your child here, nothing more important than knowing your baby is being loved and well taken care of every day. - They cook their food there daily, have several playgrounds for the different age groups, and are very secure with two different doors that require a code to go inside. The director is always there and always answers the phone for anything you need.

Mommy of a 15 month old babygirl…read more Let me begin by emphasizing that my husband is extremely hands on with our daughter he doesn't miss a single doctors appointment or activity she does 95% of the time. Education and social development are extremely important to him and I. That being said he doesn't believe in school under the age of 3. That all changed after our tour at KLA with Eileen (not sure if the spelling is correct). We arrived and first impression was amazing. You first have to walk through TWO doors to reach the children's hallway. The staff greets EVERY parent and student by name. The facility is spotless and it seems every corner has items to make your child think. We saw the outdoor space, art room, and classrooms all amazing. The instructors seemed very hands on with every child. Classrooms were setup prior to children returning from recess with the activity they would be performing that day (very organized). And everyone we met was super patient especially Eileen, she answered every single question in a way that did not feel rushed and you could tell she had a great passion for KLA. When the tour ended she even invited us to return for a mommy and me class so we could get a better feel how a child's day at school would go. This is what sealed the deal for my husband. The classroom we observed was interactive, engaging and most importantly felt SAFE. We asked if we could step out for 5 mins to see what it would feel like to leave our child alone with unfamiliar people. We were permitted to observe from a window. Clearly our babygirl cried.. the instructor comforted her and read her a book and the tears were gone within 3 mins. Nothing during our mock trail felt forced or fake it seemed genuine. Parents walking the hallway were smiling, one even told us they love the school for their children. We met with the director and were given prices.. to be honest the monthly fee is expensive compared to other school we have toured. However, when you experience the KLA culture, the staff and community the tuition becomes priceless when our child's development is on the line. She hasn't started and won't till the new school year but so far Eileen has made a profound impression on our family and we have never felt so confident in our decision. At the end of the school year I will review again on the progress our babygirl has made. THE BEST IS YET TO COME :)

She knows the pledge of allegiance, numbers, letters, colors, and is finishing out pre K reading a few words. I know she is safe here and I am sad that she has grown out of the school. I would keep her here if the grades went higher. Pamela and Ayleen are super caring and attentive to any inquiries and called me to update me on my child when the drop off was difficult and emotional. I am so glad this school exists and glad this was my child's first school experience.

If I could give this school negative stars I would!!! I…read moreoriginally picked this school due to hearing great things. When my son first started it was great. He loved his teachers. Would even name his toys after them while playing at home. Morning drops off were good and he was excited to go to school. Come to follow school year we had nothing but problems. My son would cry and hold on to me for dear life in the mornings. He never wanted to go to school. Dad and I have 50/50 custody, so at first, I thought he was just having attachment issues. It broke my heart to leave him, but I had to work and trusted the school to take good care of him. I started noticing very early on that he was having behavior issues in this class. Almost everyday they told me something. They would complain about him never sitting still, not wanting to participate in activities, hitting his fellow classmates. I did my part and explained to him that we can't behave that way at school and need to be nice to his fellow classmates. There was an incident where he fell and hit his ear. They called me and told me there was a minor incident, but he is fine and not crying. His grandma picked him up from school that day, so I did not see his ear till the end of the day. His ear was extremely bruised and swollen. He wouldn't even let dad, or I touch it. When dad asked to see the video of how it happened, they claimed they do not have cameras in the class, but they literally have one right above the changing table.... They started labeling my kid as the ringleader in his class and a threat to himself and his fellow classmates. Claiming he is the ONLY one to not sit still, listen, and misbehave in a class FULL OF 2 YEAR OLDS. I'm not saying my son is perfect and is always on his best behavior, for crying out he's a two year old. But to label him as a threat? My final straw with this school was this coming Thursday when I received a long email on his behavior a WHOLE DAY later from when it took place. They stated they spoke with dad since it was his day to pick him up. The email that we were sent had things on there that weren't even discussed with dad. I decided to reply piece by piece to this email addressing each bad behavior. Most of the things they told me were behaviors he doesn't even display at home. The one that stood out to me the most was that he stuck his whole arm in the toilet!!! How was he able to go into the bathroom and do that without anyone noticing? When I addressed each thing and all my concerns in the email, the director (Jacqueline) responded, using her physiology multiplication. She basically ignored everything I said and stated that his bad behavior is going to increase due to him not being in school consistently. Mind you they sent him home every time he had a runny nose even if there were no cold symptoms, dad was not comfortable leaving him there, and he had missed more days of school with his other teacher and had no issues. She then proceeded to use the excuse that the teachers can't provide their undivided attention to him, yet again in his other class the teachers weren't able to give their undivided attention due to there being other students and he had no issues... To top it all off she disclosed confidential things that were said separately by dad and I. Almost as if she was trying to start something between us. Not once did she address my concerns on the neglect. All she addressed was how I am trying to attempt to accuse the school of targeting my son. Jacqueline states that they feel there needs to be a foundation made of trust, honest communication, and follow through between the school and the parents, but if your honest communication is not to her liking, she will kick your kid out! Dad and I did our part in talking to our son and explaining to him the behaviors he needs to display at school. And with the approach they took seemed as if we didn't. She does not work with you and your situation. We put our trust in this school every day we dropped him off. Dad has multiple videos of him being neglected and teachers complaining about the kids crying and not listening. Yet all Jacueline could say was he disrespected her teachers and herself. What a joke. To know he was not being treated the way he needed to be and to be shot down when addressing these concerns is disgusting. All she cares about is collecting the money from the parents. I have spoken with multiple people who have dealt with her, and they all have nothing nice to say. Do yourself a favor and don't put your kid in this school.

I found this school during COVID and it has been the biggest blessing for my child. The owner is not only kind but incredibly knowledgeable in child rearing and development. As are all the teachers. The classrooms are small and the teachers work with the students one on one, reaching the kids where they are at in their development. Everything is done through play based learning which is a game changer. They also have a great gym for the kids to get all the wiggles out throughout the day. My daughter has now graduated and is on her way to kindergarten reading and writing at a first grade level. She is also pretty competent in arithmetics. I have no doubt she will continue to shine thanks to the foundation provided by little champs. I would not recommend any other preschool but this one for someone who truly wants to see their children thrive and grow into confident caring individuals.
