The pool was nice and the tiki hut made for a nice place to chat with fellow relaxers. The beach is a short five minute walk. With a less-than ten minute walk, you're at John's Pass with shopping, restaurants and bars. We had planned on going to other places while visiting, but we barely left the radius around the cottages.

The hosts (june and Bill) are so friendly and helpful that we felt like family when we left. The other people staying there were also extremely nice and the atmosphere was wonderful. This was supported by the tradition that everybody staying there would gather for a glass of wine or a drink at around 5 in the afternoon in the tiki-hut. Even though we were the only ones with children we felt so welcome. I would love to go there again and I am sure that we would feel just as welcome the next time. We stayed in Villa Paradiso, which was the largest of the villas, but I also saw the inside of some of the other villas and they looked just as nice. The beach was a short 3 min walk from the cottages and John's Pass was around 5-10 minutes away when walking.

The landscaping looks like it hasn't been touched in years, and the parking lot feels unsafe--especially with the broken gate that's been left inoperable for who knows how long. The trash compactors and garages? Also inoperable, and to top it off, there's mold everywhere--yes, even in the so-called car wash station and the garages. The pool is utterly unusable, and good luck getting any help from the staff or maintenance team. They are completely unresponsive and when they do finally get around to fixing something, it's always done in the cheapest, most half-hearted way possible. This place is beyond horrid. 0/10--stay far, far away!

A could missed opportunities for us was e didn't push to get info on the "for chaos and umbrellas" because when my husband asked about the chairs and umbrellas at the beach we were only told to read the sign on the bulletin board. The manager was on duty at the time and insured of sling about the free ones we just assumed they meant some the pool and were misled. I would have expected to be told that they had free ones behind the door though. The other, we made our reservation through a third party and when we went to extend by one day we were quoted by the third party a price well over $300 for the one night. We should have called direct or asked about it when we checked in and the second cleaning fee would have been removed to make it more feasible. The view, the cleanliness (cleanest old place I've ever stayed) of the rooms and the entire property was impressive, the pool was warm and sparkling. Our bed was super comfiest and the furniture in the front room cozy. There is a full kitchen and our room had a mishmash of kitchenware but it did the trick. The only other issue that we ran into was the distance to the beach and how far it would be to use a restroom. The condo does have one for outdoor use with a code so other's can't use it but it's far if you're older or have an issue walking... we stayed by the pool. The location is perfect for restaurants and John's Pass. The bus picks up across the street on one side and less than a block either way on the same side of the road. We'd love to stay there again.

While Johns Pass is a magnificent attraction with outstanding shops and restaurants, being away from the action in a larger more family friendly complex turned out to be the right move. We were always treated well by all employees, there was an earnest concern about the condition of the complex and the location turned out to be ideal. Pictures speak louder than words so let them do the talking. We loved our unit, while not perfect, gave us an amazing vacation!!

It's in a grand location, literally 5 minutes from the beach; accessible to the interstate within 15 minutes; within close proximity to numerous restaurants, retailers, even a mall and movie theater. At the time the rent was among the lowest in the area, however, within the past year or so it has become more competitive with other rentals in the vicinity, but don't let that scare you away. Sure the property is older, however, the units are newly renovated with granite countertops, new cabinetry, faux wood laminate floors, and hurricane-grade windows. The area is generally quiet with loads of kind, friendly residents. Amenities such as the pool and fitness center (even a pet grooming station) are pretty solid. I've never had issues with pests or rodents. However, the most remarkable and pleasant aspect of living at Ridgeview is the staff. The front office staff is top-notch! Stacey and Don are very approachable and work with you to find solutions to any issues you are having with your unit. They are very attentive and maintenance has always been relatively prompt to addressing work orders. I also must commend them on being mindful of my sleep schedule. I am usually a day sleeper as I work nights and Stacey, Don, and Co. have ALWAYS made every effort to coordinate finding a time that works for me to address maintenance, inspections, or other issues that may arise. Without hesitation, I endorse Ridgeview Apartments as a great option for your housing needs. The ONLY reason I left is the need for more space; sadly there are no 3-bedroom units on the property. Otherwise, I'd still be there now. Many fond memories and great experiences.

The Madeira Apartment management team (Meadow Wood Property Management) is non responsive and/or…read morefull of excuses when a problem arises. The apartment upstairs started leaking into the one below it in the morning. The lower tenant called the office immediately. The water was blue, obviously from a toilet. No one came. The ceiling fell in. Water has continued to pour out sporadically in 4-5 gallon increments every few hours. The office was called, emailed and told in person. The Meadow Wood Property Management office was emailed, texted, and messaged. While those correspondence were replied to, the only service that has been provided is lip service. I'm writing this on DAY FOUR... the upstairs apartment was just deemed "UNINHABITABLE " by code enforcement. The ceiling in the downstairs apartment is still leaking. Long story short (I know, too late) I DO NOT recommend this complex.
