There's also a bathroom that's available for patients to use in the waiting room as well. My daughter woke up with a fever this morning so I called the office around 10am and they were quick to schedule an appointment for her the same day to be seen. When we arrived checking in was easy. We were greeted by Yadira at the front desk who had the sweetest smile, even my 2 year old son who is pretty shy warmed up to her quickly. Our wait time in the waiting room was probably less than 2 minutes. When you enter the door to go to your room, you're welcomed by this beautiful carousel horse. We were taken into our designated room which the doors were color coded. I love that idea especially for kids to learn and know their colors. The medical assistant Normie was very kind and caring. She was empathetic when she saw how sick my daughter was feeling. She had done a nasal swab to test for flu and Covid and was very gentle with her. Dr. Garcia was very kind and thorough with his exam. He explained everything clearly and answered all of my questions in a manner that I can easily understand. He spent a good amount of time with us which made our visit feel so much better. Most doctors make you feel rushed but he didn't make us feel that way at all. I highly recommend Dr. Garcia to anyone looking for a pediatrician. He's a great doctor that's knowledgeable and his office staff is amazing.

She picked up my daughter & didn't grab her head so her head hit the padding! I wanted to delay the vaccines & she was not happy about it at all. She pressured us & would not let it go. She kept saying hep b was extremely necessary at this age (which is not, my child was a newborn). She made me feel really uncomfortable & I felt extremely pressured. When we went out to tell her we will not be vaccinating today she told me they don't take anti vaccinators. I literally just wanted to delay them & she degraded me. I switched immediately.

I chose this pediatrician while I was pregnant with my son who is now a year old. I wanted to wait before I wrote a review. His doctor is Dr. Jean Russel, she is amazing and I chose her during my pregnancy because of her knowledge and experience under her belt. I wanted someone with experience so I wouldn't have to worry about anything if the occasion arises. I.E, major surgery. I am more than pleased with her, however, for the year that my son has been going, he has only seen her twice. Now, my son has been seen by nurse practitioners (NP). My only complaint about the NP is the one I had a bad experience, I'm a parent I not only have high standards and expectations but she was fairly young, judgemental with tone and glances and my husband and I. Comparing the information she gave me to what another np that I absolutely admire Natasha and Dr. Russel was off-putting. She also nitpicked at every little thing, he is a child and children are messy, what can we do? My other complaint that has been not resolved but nothing major anymore was the looks and stares we received as a family for the first few visits. We are a young interracial couple, this is our first born so we have medical. The stares were as if we shouldn't be there and the tone of voice used toward us as if we were children. When I say we are young we are in our 20's. It wasn't just the front staff that gave us this may be unintentional feeling but the medical assistants as well. I believe all it took was a positive attitude, politeness, and patience for them to open up. Now everyone is very sweet and responds well to my family and me. Overall, I think this is probably the best pediatricians office I have heard of and experienced. Other mothers have complained about their pediatricians and I am grateful. They are also very prompt on calling back and answering phone calls. I love that there are two waiting rooms, one for ill children and another for well children. The on-call nurse will always call you back and if she's not there a NP or DR will give you a call instead and they are very helpful. They are also open on Saturdays for ill children if it's urgent. They will always try their very best to get you the soonest appointment as possible. They care about children and that's what I appreciate.

Red flag #1 was when the doctor made several comments about my 7-year-old's silver crowns. It came off very passive aggressive, judgy, and shameful. Things that I don't think I should feel after a health care appointment. It came to the point that as we were leaving a family in front of us were getting suckers and when my daughter politely asked if she could have one, the doctor replied "I'm not sure that's a good idea, it looks like you have way too much sugar already". Red flag #2 was when my daughter was prescribed a new medication and when I called for a refill I was told this practice charges $10 to refill a prescription. On top of the actual cost at the pharmacy. That's an additional $120 a month. I cannot wrap my brain around why they would do this. I decided to go elsewhere.

While I respect Dr. Mehrotra's medical practice and the importance of the services provided to…read morepatients, I believe there are internal management and workplace culture issues that deserve attention. Staff should focus on patient care and leave personal differences aside. From my experience, communication, professionalism, and the handling of employee concerns could be improved. When workplace conflicts arise, it is important for management to address them fairly, consistently, and in a timely manner. Employees should feel respected, supported, and comfortable bringing forward concerns without feeling that they have to navigate difficult situations on their own causing employees to get laid off/resign as a solution. A positive workplace culture is essential not only for employee morale but also for maintaining a professional and productive environment. I hope management takes the opportunity to reflect on these concerns and make improvements for the benefit of both staff and patients. It's a shame because wasted talent keeps walking out the door! I wish the practice and its patients the very best moving forward.
