AL Curry, Clinical Pharmacist licensed in GA, FL, NC & OH. PLEASE READ my review before making an…read moreappointment to see Dr. David Neckman, 5303 Adams St., Suite C, Covington, GA 30014. He arranged for Dr. Rosenfield on 12.19.24 to remove my Intrathecal pain pump. BSBS told me my co-pay was $275. Alliance Spine & Pain doubled my co-pay to $550. I filed a complaint with Medicare Programs, Appeals Grievances Dept, MailStep : OH0205-A537, 4361 Irvin Simpkins Rd, Mason, OH 450040. They resolved the problem & my co-pay was $275. Dr. Neckman on 7.9.25 installed my Spinal Cord Stimulator. On 8.12.25, I started seeing redness & drainage on the incision. I called Covington he sent me to Putnman General Hospital in Eatonton, GA, for Cultures. After growing Cultures Day 1 to Day 5, there was NO growth. On 8.13.25, Dr. Neckman had me come to the Covington office. He did a GRAM STAIN & AEROBIC BACTERIAL CULTURE, but LabCorp was unable to get the results because Dr Neckman used the wrong type of swab. I saw Dr. Neckman in Conyers on 9.15.25 for an incision check. He said without any lab results that I had an infection from the "film on the battery," and scheduled an Explant (removal of my Spinal Cord Stimulator) on 9.17.25 in Covington. He E prescribed to my pharmacy Clindamycin 300 mg 2 capsules three times daily. During my surgery on 9.17.25, he did a GRAM STAIN & AEROBIC BACTERIAL lab culture. When I was in recovery, Dr. Neckman asked me what he put me on for pain when he installed my SCS. I was surprised he didn't refer to his provider notes. I told him Percocet 10/325 mg, but I was too strong, would he consider Norco 5? He said yes, he would E prescribe it to my pharmacy. I asked Kasey Dean, Charge Nurse, Dr. Neckmanto to have E prescribed to my pharmacy the Norco 5. Kasey said he had left the office she sent Dr Neckman a text message. When I got to my pharmacy, the Norco 5 wasn't there. I called the answering service at 426 PM. I went all night long in excruciating pain. I called the office in Covington the next morning, explained what happened what she said. Dr. Neckman probably left early because he lived in north Atlanta & wanted to get ahead of the traffic. She texted Dr Neckman & he E-prescribed Norco 5 to my pharmacy. In my opinion, Dr. Neckman's patients come first over his personal life. On 9.22.25, Dr. Neckman E prescribed to my pharmacy Trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole one tablet twice daily. On 9.23.25, I went on my LabCorp portal to look at GRAM STAIN & AEROBIC BACTERIAL cultures results. It showed Pseudomonas putida & was Resistant, not effective against trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole. I called Kasey Dean, Charge Nurse in Covington, brought to her attention, she contacted Dr. Neckman & he had me stop taking trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole. On 9.24.25, I had a follow-up visit with Dr. Neckman after my surgery. He wanted me to see an infectious disease doctor because he said I had a surgical site infection & the Pseudomonas putida had gotten into my bloodstream. Dr. Neckman said the infectious disease doctor would admit me to a hospital & I would be there receiving IV antibiotics for several weeks. Dr. Neckman said for me to buy enough Sodium Chloride 0.9% for 6 months. Dr. Neckman instructed my wife on how to change & clean the incision daily. Dr. Neckman yelled & accused my wife of removing the dressing on the spine. All she did was put an extra piece of tape on because it was trying to come off. On 11.2.25, I sent a message from my portal to Kasey Dean, charge nurse in Covington, asking if Dr. Neckman would consider E-prescribing Noro 5 to my pharmacy. Dr. Neckman said I would have to make an office visit. I refused because it was a 184-mile round trip. Dr Neckman was only interested in receiving his copay of $330. Dr. Neckman discharged me on 11.5.25, saying there was nothing else he could do for me. I asked what I was supposed to do for pain, and he said take what you were taking before you saw me. I found my own Infectious disease doctor on US News World Report for Doctors & I had Dr Neckman's office send the referral. On 10.9.25, the infectious disease doctor said I had a Pseudomonas putida wound culture positive, probable superficial, wouldn't be admitted to the hospital; he could treat me as an outpatient. My infectious disease doctor instructed my wife to continue simple wound care daily with loose wound packing with iodophor gauze. He also said the clindamycin was ineffective in treating the Pseudomonas putida that Dr Neckman had me on. On 11.6.25, I had my return visit to see my infectious disease doctor, who said my wife had done a fantastic job changing the dressing & packing with iodophor gauze for her to continue for 2 weeks & stop. The Doctor said he saw no ID-related contraindications to future spinal implants, contradicting what Dr Neckman had said.

OH did i mention the problem still is NOT corrected. sure seems like all they want to do is put a band-aid on the problem so you will keep coming back.

We paid $500 cash for a 5 minute physicians assistant visit, not even a doctor to see. They proceeded by cutting off the emergency room cast and briefly explained to us that the E.R. X-rays that showed broken bones and misaligned toes was nothing major and it would heal in time. Also if it hurt, don't walk on it. We left with no wrap, not recast, no plan of action other than an appointment for 3 weeks away. The original story they feed you upon first contact concerning a cash-pay arrangement is that you get the unused portion of cash returned upon release. With a second appointment being deemed necessary by them, I'm pretty sure that the release will be good to go after completing the next appointment when the second half of the $500 will be used up after another 10 minute useless discussion with a physicians assistant and not a doctor. Let me take this moment to recommend Dr. Roman at Foot & Ankle Specialist. Also located in Covington.

The staff at the Howard Center is the best I've encountered IN MY LIFE. No rude receptionists who are too full of themselves to greet you with a proper hello or check you in on time. No unanswered questions or phone calls that leave you hanging. No cold, impersonal health workers whose only goal is to get you in and out of their doors in 5 seconds flat. Everyone there was so friendly and warm, and so were the offices and patient rooms. They also have drinks and snacks in the waiting room but if anyone from there is reading this, may I request Coke Zero please? :D
