Bought a Yuasa battery for a Hayabusa at a very good price. It arrived very fast. Unfortunately it wouldn't take a charge. I started to wonder if the price might be too good... I reached out to Summit, talked to Benson, who was super helpful, and they had a new battery at my house the very next day that charged right up. Will definitely recommend them to my friends and will order from them again. read more

This company has become the Summit of incompetence! Have purchased hundreds of thousands from over the years and the service has become horrible. Customer service is nonexistent and if you do manage to get one of their service reps on they phone, they treat you like garbage, never do ANYTHING to fix the situation. Never spending another dime with Summit. read more

These guys had parts at a price I could not find anywhere else. I did have some problems, but their customer service has been outstanding! I wish they were closer to me, but I'll shop online with them anytime. read more

Wrong parts impossible to return hours on the phone. Horrible customer service. You have to explain your issues over and over. And then they transfer you to another department and you get to explain yourself over again. Then they say they will send you return labels but they don't so you have to start the process over again. Until you give up and sell your wrong part on ebay. Your better off going to garage sales or wallmart or the dollar storeor anywhere but summit. read more

I have executed a number of online purchases from Summit Racing. There were two that I wanted to return. Not that there was anything wrong with the product, but rather that additional research told me I should exchange what I ordered for a different product. I just got off the phone with a customer service agent named SUSAN. I received incredible service from her. I could not have asked for anything better than what she provided. I will continue to purchase from Summit Racing, in major part, because of SUSAN and Summit Racing customer service. Thank you so much, SUSAN! :) read more

recently i got back one of my 1970 AMX's from a restoration shop after a 2 yr process. i will say the car came back great. the issue i have with summit is that during that time I and im sure many other people restoring cars buy parts over time and now that it's time to reassemble the car some of the parts do not work or fit yet they were the same parts that were ordered for my earlier restoration of another AMX. The spark plug wires are not for a 6la / msd set up , they are standard GM distributor the alternator a powermaster alternator was the same part # as ordered 10 yrs earlier and is now a GM alternator and during the process i did speak to a sales rep to confirm the parts. Fast forward after calling Summit they said there is nothing they can do, i guess the message here is to deal with your local speed shop and make sure everything is right read more

Loved all the shiny chrome motor parts. Was delighted with all the extras that they sell, ex. Toys, t-shirts etc. So while hubby shopped for parts, I enjoyed the rest of the store. When picking up parts please make sure you are picking up the right part. read more

This review is based on my experience with a recent online order - I was looking for a solution to carry an unmounted spare tire on my RV. When I started my search I figured it was going to be a relatively simple task, after spending several hours searching multiple sites to no avail I finally found a partial solution here at Summit Racing. I placed my order and they took care of everything else, it was a very simple process. I received an immediately email confirmation of the order, followed by a second communication which verified the product shipped including a tracking number. The product arrived on time and correct - if I have any complaint it's with the packaging, some of the smaller parts were packed loose in the box and must have falling out due to damage to the packaging during shipping since the carrier had placed a number of parts outside the package on my porch fortunately everything was accounted for so there wasn't any issue. I understand that the damage likely occurred during transit after a change of custody but Summit Racing Equipment failed to provide adequate packaging after looking closer - it was cheap and poorly executed so this made the experience just okay I was one missing part away from being disappointed and inconvenienced I guess sometimes it's better to be lucky than good... read more

After I put out a reveiw on Yelp about the problem I had with Summit, they reached out to me about the issue. The Summit Racing had read my review and felt like the manager I spoke with originally was incorrect about the solution. Summit did the correct thing and took back the parts and refunded my money. Thank you Summit Racing for doing the right thing. You have earned my business back! I offered to remove my previous post, but I wanted everyone know there was a problem, we all have problems sometimes, it is all about how you take care of your problems that say a lot about you or the company. read more

Went to return a part that I never used and had purchased LESS that 30 days ago, and was told on the phone that I could return it for a full refund because of that. Once I showed up in person I was told there'd be a restocking fee which the phone rep told me there wouldn't be one because again it's been LESS than 30 days. The woman at the counter tells me it's not in its original packaging and that's why there's a fee, but it was NEVER in its original packaging and it came from 2 different locations and was shipped together in ONE package. Also the manager never came to talk to me directly she kept going back and forth relaying responses to him/her which is unprofessional in itself. I feel robbed of my purchase and the fact that I shop with them very frequently which I don't think I'll be doing anymore. I will also be reaching out to the corporate office read more

Walked in for a seat covers and when I inquired about it, I was told "you have to ask the reps to go look because they aren't on the floor " Really? The counter clerks were very busy, so why would I bother them? Not only that, I want choices not just one cover from the back. They sell plenty of t-shirts and toys tho. read more

Summit Racing has always provided me with extremely positive customer service experiences and handling of orders. With that being said, things seem to have gone extremely down hill. I use their Beat-A-Price-Guarantee service often which is super cool and generous of them to offer. I submitted a request on 6/21 and for some reason my request did not get picked up on their end until 6/28. After chatting back and forth with customer service reps from 6/28 - 7/04 they told me they could not honor the beat a price guarantee because I submitted the request after the order had already shipped. I called customer support and tried to explain to them that I think their email service flagged my request as spam because when I got a response from them it had the word "[SPAM]" in the subject line. I did indeed send the request before the order had shipped on 6/21 and even sent a screenshot of my original email that was timestamped on 6/21. My issue was escalated to a woman who on the phone accused me of adding the word spam to the subject line of my own email which is beyond absurd. Not only is that rude, it's insulting. I asked since this seems to have been out of my control what should I have done and her response was that if you didn't hear back from us the same day, you should have followed up. She was curt, unprofessional and dismissive. This is a real bummer because Summit carries most everything I need, but in the future I'll start ordering from other more respectful companies. read more

Be very care. I have found that over the last couple of years that fewer and fewer of the items that Summit Racing states fit your Make and Model actually DO NOT FIT! I am not sure if this is because more and more items are direct shipped from the manufacturing or if Summit Racing is NOT doing the quality control they use to do! AND be very, VERY care to watch your REFUNDS. Summit has a tendency (if not policy) to short ship refunds EVEN when the error was on their side. The last two shipments they sent did NOT fit the car they stated that it would. The last was i ordered interior Weather-stripping clips and they sent Truck Mud Flap clips. NOT interchangeable nor even close... And when I returned the items, they charged a Label Fee and did NOT pay back the Tax or Freight although the items they shipped were wrong. So, Check your Refunds! Thankfully both times I caught them doing this I called them, and they DID CORRECT their error. read more

Outstanding. This site had a bunch of options to choose from. One of the only places I could find the Fuel Wheels center hubs. Price was reasonable and shipping was fast and well packaged. There was a slight manufacturers defect in one of the hubs, and Summit answered my email in record time and backed their manufacturer's (Fuel's) part. They sent me emails and updates on the replacement got me the part faster than I expected. Their support seems to be unmatched in my experience in the auto and aftermarket parts world; and they have a ton of options on their site. Great website, great parts options, great pricing, phenomenal service. Definitely exceeded my expectations. read more

I am really surprised to see so many negative reviews about Summit Racing. It's is an excellent company that you can trust. In over 30 years as a customer, I have never had a problem returning a purchase if I needed to. They are very clear about which products they have in stock, and when they expect to ship the products they don't. Their customer service is responsive and tries to be helpful. It's not realistic to think they can be experts on everything - one poor seat recommendation comes to mind - but I have found their advice to be worth asking for, and better than their competitors'. Summit's recent (from a 30-year perspective) entry into restoration parts is a welcome development. I recommend Summit to anyone, and can attest from personal experience that Jeg's can't even come close. read more

At the advice of the manufacturer of a part I need, I placed an on-line order with Summit. It went through perfectly on their site and I got an email titled Confirmation of your Order (with order number). A week later I am thinking this part should have been there, so I dig through my emails and find my confirmation number. Burred at the bottom a message that my credit card was declined (my credit cards don't ever get declined, so must be something with their ordering system). So I call to try and resolve the issue.... 3 times on hold for 15 minutes waiting on customer service, and hang up. Finally I press the button like I am a new order and in 2 minutes I have a human on the line. I explain what needs to be done and he says... can I transfer you to customer service? I tell him only if you there is no wait... In 32 minutes that I am on hold Now for the good part. The customer service person I spoke with was able to handle everything in one call, including a credit towards my purchase to make things right. I wish I recall her name so I could give her credit. Often times, businesses underestimate the importance of individuals that can listen, and have the power to correct things. read more

Customer Service is a joke. 2 products were missing parts, they did nothing about it. Told me to return the part, I pay for shipping and a restocking fee. Also charged me $25 for 25 pounds on the shipping label for something that weighed 3 pounds. Very rude Customer service returns person. total a-hole. Web site is super slow. They have the absolute worst customer service. Paid for 2nd day air, still hasn't arrived 2 days past delivery date. Customer service manager Zach sure doesnt care that my shop has a car stuck on the rack for an extra 2-3 days. They wouldnt send me a replacement until another day passed and now the weekend hit. So the car has been sitting on my rack since Monday and will be there unrepaired until next Monday. I called 2x today and both reps were terrible & unhelpful. Offered a $13 refund. I spend 10's of thousands of dollars at this company. Definitely will be purchasing from Jegs now on. Terrible service with, the worst. read more

I ordered a part with this company and was told they would ship within 3 to 4 days. Not only did it not ship in the timeframe stated, no communication was sent to me to update the expected arrival time. Upon investigation of where the part was in the process, I found out that the shipping date was moved out over a month, so I decided to cancel the order. Despite my cancellation online and a phone call to confirm the cancellation, Summit Racing will not refund the charge, even though the part isn't available from the manufacturer, according to Summit Racing. In addition, the customer service rep I spoke to was more than just rude; he was combative and aggressive. If you want to be treated like that, be sure to use Summit Racing. I personally will never use Summit Racing again for any purchase. read more

Had an order that was split into 2 shipments. First shipment showed up immediately and was boxed professionally. Second shipment showed up 4 days late, which I don't think was Summit Racing's fault, but when the box did show up, the parts were hanging out of torn boxes with their packaging label stuck directly to the parts box itself. Messaged them regarding this and no response. Will never buy from them again. read more

I placed an order for an item that showed in stock on the Summit website. To ensure the order was received, I called Summit and was informed that the item would ship from the manufacturer as Summit had no stock. I then personally contacted the manufacturer and learned that only two units were left. Concerned about the low stock, I called Summit back to expedite my order, and they confirmed it would be processed the same day. However, days went by without receiving a tracking number. When I called and chatted with Summit, they could not provide an update. Upon contacting the manufacturer again, I discovered that Summit had not placed the order. Summit claimed they had placed the order and were waiting for tracking. They also incorrectly stated that the manufacturer could not confirm orders without Summit's internal purchase order. Three days later, I received a cancellation email from Summit. This experience was a complete waste of time. I placed the order directly with the manufacturer and promptly received a tracking number. Summit's customer service is a joke. read more

I placed an order online for 17" Rims for my car because they had the best price of all the companies I researched online but I guess it was listed with the wrong price because they canceled my order after I called them several times to confirm that my order was correct because 16" rims were listed on my invoice the customer service agent that help me assured me that it was the correct size and I asked the invoice to be revised with the correct size which he did but a couple of days later I received an email stating that the rim manufacturer had discontinued the rims and they were canceling my order which clearly is a lie. I would just give them an advise to be honest when they make a mistake it would have been a lot better and save me a lot of time and I would have not written this review. read more

WHAT HAPPENED to Summit Racing? They went from first to last overnight. Spent all day trying to contact them by phone & text systems. Forget it! So I've dipped my toe into the world of performance car racing when a vintage Porsche came into my life. We are so fortunate (and a bit poorer!) to have Summit Racing is near us.
