This is a walk-in urgent care clinic as well as a professional setting for orthopedic surgeons. From the moment I was referred here from Providence neurological specialists I knew I was in good hands. Dr Corey Vande is the finest surgeon and incredibly knowledgeable! His team there is phenomenal. From the friendly receptionists to his kind and caring team, shout out to Alicia, Lance, Sawyer and every other person I dealt with here over the past couple of months has been so professional and just a pleasure. During the most difficult time for me. Everything Doctor Corey told me about my hardware removal went exactly the way he said it would. He is kind and patient and you couldn't ask for a better surgeon to do what I needed done on my ankle. Legacy Emanuel Hospital is another example of exemplary professionalism, courteousness and kindness. Dr Corey mainly practices out of this facility but also has an outpatient clinic in Beaverton. Because the Lake Oswego location is an urgent care facility they are always quite busy but take walk-ins if you're willing to wait a bit. You won't be sorry, I highly recommend this doctor to anyone needing surgery on their lower extremities. And he is a trauma surgeon so he's incredibly smart. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I have had the experience before where a surgeon's office will NEVER receive your faxed records.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I verified that the fax was sent twice from a hospital in Seattle, but Summit claims they never received the fax.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can possibly believe this happening once, but twice? Nope. This is how surgeons avoid treating patients that don't either have the right insurance or don't want to do that particular surgery. What I don't understand is lying. Don't people realize it damages their souls? Would never go to a doctor at this practice. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Indifferent reception staff in an absolutely grimy waiting room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Old flaking vinyl chairs, smeared tables, just dingy. They are apparently aware of the massive soil stains on the carpet as they had signs taped to the counters reading "We apopogize for the stained carpet". Bizarre and gross. An MA was sent in after I was examined by the PA, on her own, to wrap up my fractured arm. She was rushed and obviously she did not know what to do, and when she started to do the wrap it was unlike anything I had ever seen. I asked fot the PA to do the wrap instead, and her response was that he was in another room and that she 'did it all the time". The PA randomly walked in and I asked if this was what he told her to do. He looked suprised, took over and redid the wrap in a completely different way. Where else can you do a walk in for an orthopedic specialist? I made it in with an X-ray and a referral for more imaging in 1 hr 20 mins. Terrible operation. My daughter was referred here. Every appt we waited 45 min-1 hour just to be seen for 2 minutes. They overbook like crazy and only had one doctor that specialized in her problem. He made his diagnosis over the phone without seeing her in person or discussing her ongoing pain. This place is terrible. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Starting with the receptionist ( "madame" Evelina) that is very rude and doesn't have even the business minimum training on how to answer a call and how to ask clear questions and seems bothered that you e called[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], [[HIGHLIGHT]]to a very cocky PA that makes you wait for 30 minutes before he walks in and doesn't even have the decency to apologize[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], to the requirements about one lifestyle changes that the surgeon has as personal preference to a patient, the place is nothing but a joke and a part of a chain. I'm wondering where in the exam board it is said that a surgeon can dictate his personal preferences into a patient. I'm wondering if eating pork is acceptable as some cultures are not accepting that also. Just a joke, they try to talk surgery before definitive diagnosis tests and not care about patients being in pain. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Rude and disrespectful, not to mention not caring which is one of the basis of any medical professional practice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They are right behind my house but I will not step into such practice ever again, a practice that is not patient oriented but only profit, have no compassion or care for a person in pain that seeks answers before they talk surgery and personal preferences. And on that note, I also have a personal preferences, I don't like surgeons that don't eat pig or not like dogs, maybe that should be also noted by the surgeon that dares to impose his personal preferences into clients. Service was awesome; all the way from scheduler returning a call, to the PA that assisted me. I was promptly greeted upon entering the business. Even though the greeter was super busy, she was friendly and got me started with necessary paperwork. The wait was shorter than expected for an urgent care facility. The PA quickly diagnosed me, provided a prescription and a referral for physical therapy. Every employee I interacted with was friendly and seemed like they enjoyed working there. I would highly recommend if you have to visit an orthopedic doctor. read more

My first appointment was well over an hr late. The pa decided to take sample fluid out of my knee. There was no numbing my knee. I felt the entire procedure. It was so incredibly painful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I requested pain meds. It took them a week to correct the order.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then I was told I have gout-incorrectly diagnosed. Later proven wrong at the ER. Then it went to arthritis-again proven wrong by another visit to the ER. They said I need an mri. They made yet another mistake on the referral for the mri for insurance. Still waiting on that from them. Went to the ER again and they did the mri and finally have a diagnosis. A referral to the orthopedist who validates me and the true diagnosis of my knee injury. New orthopedist appointment scheduled elsewhere. read more

My experience at Summit Lake Oswego was excellent. I limped in at the lunch hour after breaking a bone in my foot and was seen quickly. They worked with my xrays from ZoomCare and explained everything in detail. They took the time to adjust both my aircast and crutches. Very pleased with care received. read more

My appointment was at 8:45AM, got here 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork. They didn't call me until 9:21AM, nurse/MA (not sure of title) said to wait in room and doctor should be with me soon. Had to say something about me waiting a long time and a PA didn't come to room until 10:10AM. She quickly assessed me and said she needed to go look at my X-rays and would be right back. She didn't come back until I after 10:37AM. Waiting time is ridiculous! Never have I been to a provider where one has to wait son long, and with no apologies or explications of to why one has to wait so long to bee seen. Extremely disappointed with their care. read more

Dr Mirza fixed my husbands knee after a skiing accident. We were referred to him through the Emanuel emergency department and we honestly felt like we hit the jackpot. He is an awesome surgeon and is very friendly and down to earth. Summit ortho filled out all of our disability paperwork quickly without any issues. You could tell that each medical assistant we worked with with really liked working there. We highly recommend. read more

This place is slower than anything I've ever seen. I had an appointment for 10:00 And at 10:40 I still hadn't been helped.

I was looking for a second opinion on my shoulder and gave them a call. They instructed me to provide them with imaging and my medical chart which I did. They said they would get back to me but after a few weeks went by with no call, I gave them a call. Went to voicemail so I left a message. They never returned my message. If they are too short staffed to handle new patients I wish they would have just told me that up front and saved me the trouble. read more

I've been trying for weeks to work with Summit Ortho, and all they ever do is send me to voicemail. I have never even met my doctor, and I either get no responses at all, or if I leave a really harsh message, I get a response, but it is from someone who doesn't know anything and can't do anything. As crazy as it sounds, part of me wonders if they even have any actual doctors or if they just set up a bunch of fake names and voicemail boxes in order to bilk my insurance. read more
