It was October 2018 when I needed an arborist to check out some leaning trees on my property. As…read morethe trees were in a restricted zone the city required a certified arborist to verify the situation. It was late in the season and most arborists were either tied up or would work commercial projects only. Out of the dozen or so arborists recommended by the city, only George at Honest Arborist returned my call. He showed up promptly and gave me a very competitive quote. I was surprised that George is a one man show and really knew his way around trees. He quickly lopped off the lower branches and topped off one tree. Then he climbed up the bare trunk to hop over to the second tree after securing safety lines on it. This is where not being a big guy is an advantage. I can tell he takes great care for safety of himself and my property. When he was done, he hauled out all the branches on a cart. As agreed, he sectioned the trunk pieces and left those behind. I highly recommend hiring George if you need any tree work!

RT Total Lawn Care is a misnomer as they do a lot more than lawn care. They are a "we'll do…read moreanything" type of business. In my case, it was construction. I am very satisfied with their work and plan to contact them again for my next construction project. My project was to demolish and rebuild the external, entry stairs for my front porch and to demolish a large deck and build a balcony with staircase to replace it. I have attached pictures. The finished product was spot on to what he and I had discussed and was (most importantly) wife approved. Rafael serves as the foreman, and his crew of two performed the job. The project was completed in 4 days (more quickly than planned). They used excellent materials and recycled wood from the previous structures wherever possible and appropriate. I really appreciate his eye for sustainability. His crew was rarely idle and worked continuously without watching their cell phones. His bid was about 2/3s of the next lowest bid. My only criticism was that the job site was not cleaned completely (95% clean) and some tire mark damage to my lawn was not repaired. I discovered some of this after the crew had left. This is no big deal. Rafael is very particular about customer satisfaction and strives to make sure you are happy before final payment is made. If there is a problem, he assures you even after completion that he will return to make it right.

We've worked with Eli Walton of Pioneer Tree Service and Landscaping for ten years, ever since we…read morepurchased our six-acre wooded property in Oak Harbor. As a certified arborist, Eli has been invaluable in helping us identify the trees on our land and understand what they need to stay healthy. He also pointed out several dead or declining trees that needed to be removed for safety--guidance that has kept our property both beautiful and secure. Eli is an absolute pleasure to work with. He is exceptionally knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. We have never felt rushed during a consultation. He takes the time to explain what he's seeing, answer questions, and make sure we fully understand our options. One example that stands out is when we asked him about two beautiful Japanese cedars at the entrance to our home. These trees tend to grow bulky and require annual pruning. Eli not only explained the proper approach but took the time to show us, step by step, how to prune them ourselves. He even recommended the exact tools we should purchase so we could maintain them safely and efficiently. We truly appreciated how freely he shared his expertise, especially knowing this was work we might handle on our own. His office staff is consistently professional and responsive, and the crew that comes to perform the work is always polite, efficient, and highly skilled. They represent Eli and his company extremely well. We highly recommend Eli Walton and Pioneer Tree Service and Landscaping for any tree-care or landscaping needs. They are first-rate in every respect.
