Bobby and his team are great! Summit helped us out with various electrical projects over the summer - including installing smart thermostats - and his guys were always on time, friendly and worked hard. As it turns out, there was something weird about the original wiring of the house that prevented the newly-installed thermostats from sending their signals to the oil burner and we only realized it once the weather turned cold and the heating wasn't working. Bobby came out personally late on a Friday night - the same day we called - to make sure we had working heat as soon as possible and didn't leave until everything was up and running. We hired Summit Electric to install new outlets and light fixtures around the house. Eddie and Taylor arrived on time and ready to work. We walked through the entire house and they were able to provide me with a clear description of what was needed to bring the outlets up to date. To my surprise they even offered to install a new outlet in the bathroom where there wasn't one, and installed new outdoor lights for us. The guys were so efficient and thorough making sure everything was done to our liking prior to leaving. The pricing was very fair and reasonable and worth every penny. I will definitely hire them again for any electrical work I need done at our house. read more

I normally dont write reiews but I could not be happier working with Bob from Summit Electric. Very straight forward. I was truly in a bind with no power to the entire house. He did everything he possibly could and more to restablish power. He worked quickly and kept me up to date with progress and even advocated for me with NYSEG. He is very knowledgable and made great suggestions for certain improvents while not being pushy. Truly a professional and I would highly, highly reccomend. A friendly guy showed up and helped with a simple problem, which seemed overpriced for the little fix needed. Plus, I asked several times for an estimate for more work and never got so much as an email. Then out of the blue, was told they were in the area and could pop by and do the work. I work during those hours plus I still hadn't gotten an estimate. This all seemed very unreliable. read more

We needed a local company to help wire up a new home we recently bought in Monticello NY. Bobby and his company were recommended by a friend and co worker of mine. We were told they are fairly priced, they show up ready to work and they would meet the timeline with moving into the home. We were told to talk to the girl Cathy that does the scheduling and we would be taken care of. We but in a tremendous amount of calls and the phone just kept ringing at one point, we finally were able to leave a message. We never heard anything back! We understand companies get busy but to not return a call to express no intrest in the job or to simply let us know you are busy would have been appericated. It's extremely unprofessional. As locals we go by word of mouth and apparently this is an on going thing after talking to our Plumber, thankfully our Plumbing Company were able to recommend another local company and they were able to step in and help wire the house so we could move forward with our moving date. read more

We recently purchased a house in the Catskills as an escape from the nyc life. We were referred to Bobby from Summit Electric and couldn't be more pleased. Summit Electric is not a RELIABLE company!!! Especially for the locals!! The owner is always not there and is always AWAY! His Facebook says they answer the phones and call back and show up.... I wish that was true!! The "office girl" Works out of North Carolina..... and can't send a estimate or give answers when needed. We were recommended by a reliable and well known person in the Sullivan County area to help us fix a few issues with our electric after speaking to someone they said they were going to call us back and we never heard anything back. I waited for two weeks and tried calling back multiple times and not one answer!! I was tired of being put on the back Burner and called Mc dowall electric and they were able to help within two days!! I mentioned this to a women who knew the owner and she has even stated that she has heard not so good things anymore and that she waited and waited for a ceiling fan to be installed and landed up hiring someone else. If your going to be a company that serves the local area than be here... And have the respect to say "I'm sorry my schedule is to busy". It's not fair to say you will call back and weeks go by and you hear nothing. It seems the owner could care less about the local people. My other advice isn Maybe hire a local office person to help you with the schedule or whatever!! Don t advertise you are available and here for the locals when your not! read more
