Batteries that go dead in all of their equipment, and having to go get odd size batteries that one…read moredoes not generally keep on hand, trying to figure out how to get into the various devices that have the batteries, up on ladders to change the batteries (I'm 83), so I finally said, "that's enough". On March 5, 2021 I called Vivint and told them I wanted a "Buy out" (my exact words), and close my account. They gave me a figure of $360.29 so I paid it. That credit card expired, and in October I happened to look at the account on line and it said I owed $51.47. I called on October 13th. They said I had not done a "buy out", I'd just paid through October in advance. So I asked them again, how do I do a "buy out" and close the account. They said it would cost me $205.88, which included the $51.47. I paid it that day with a credit card. On two subsequent occasions they called me asking for the $51.47 and each time I told them I paid it on the 13th. They looked and said I was right, it was paid. Today I looked at the website again and it said I still owed them $51.47. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor and they said they were sending me to the "Loyalty" department. After 20 minutes on hold I hung up and called back. Over an hour and a half I went through several iterations of this, most of the time ending up on hold until I had to hang up. Finally, I just paid the $51.47 just to get rid of them and get them out of my life. Vivint cheated, and they won.
