They did such a good job that another friend of ours hired them to help with his house flip (in Brookhaven) as well and they always completed their jobs on time and on budget. Recently, I found an old leak behind a wall in the laundry and they were able to come out in a timely manner, give me a reasonable quote, and schedule for the fix within 2 days. If you have any construction or repairs around the house, I would highly recommend calling these guys for a free quote. There's really no job too big or too small. Whether you need your roof completely replaced, want to redo your kitchen cabinets/counter, build a new deck, or you just need help replacing your kitchen disposal, they'll be able to help you out. And because they can do practically everything (or they have other people who they can call for things out of their specialty), it'll most likely be friendlier on your wallet as well compared to hiring various specialists. In my case, I would have had to hire a plumber to fix the leak, a sheetrock person to replace the moldy section of my wall, and a painter to repaint the new patch in the wall. NOTE: They are literally a 2-person company so don't expect to call and get a secretary (the number listed is their personal cell phone) or schedule way in advance (I don't think they own an appointment book). Jobs are really first come first serve and dependent on the size. If you call, expect for them to schedule a meeting within 2 days and start the job within a week.

He can do it all- plumbing, electrical, construction, painting, landscape. And he does it with skill and attention to detail. The guy doesn't cut corners, and that's a BIG deal in this industry. His communication is top notch. (His wife helps in this area and she is thorough and pleasant.) He renovated a 100-year-old home for us and made what could have been a stressful experience an actual joy. We had worked with other contractors prior, and half the time they didn't show up, did shoddy work or told us we needed repairs we did not need (to the tune of thousands). Honesty is everything, and for that reason these are my go to guys.

During that time they have come out numerous times to look at small issues that arose (nail pops, etc.) over the years. They did not complete the job like we originally discussed because they juggle numerous jobs at a time and they do not refer to the few notes that are taken during the initial consultation. They hire outside contractors and never personally check out the work before paying your money to these outside contractors for poor quality service. We signed up for a kitchen remodel that was supposed to be finished in 3 months, instead it took them 8 months to finish using subpar contractors whose work had to be redone several times over. After finally finishing my project in June, several cabinets are now warped and the project manager claims that they are not under warranty anymore and insists that I send them the measurements instead of them coming over to follow up on their work. I feel they are unwilling to stand behind their work, while they claim they will. The value of their work is not worth the headache of extended time to completion, showing up late to work, and having to redo work by outside contractors numerous times. Not to mention the numerous lies we were told to put us on hold so they could finish other projects. Overall a bad experience.

Brad always handled any issues that arose during the construction, such as incorrectly manufactured parts from the factory. He sent replacements in a timely manner and at no cost. Brad always was available by phone or would call me back quickly. He responded to all my emails. He was crucial to the success of my building. After having my gutters damaged by a snow storm, I ordered replacements. They inadvertently sent me the incorrect gutters and fittings, but again, SteelCo corrected the mistake, sent me replacements after several days. Brian agreed to reimburse me for having to pay workers for a second trip back to install the correct gutters. He was able to understand the additional cost I incurred from my point of view and was willing to correct it. I highly recommend buying your next building from SteelCo. They treated me right, and I am very happy with them.
