I have been dealing with Rosacea for about a year and finally decided to see a dermatologist in the area, but where to find one! I didn't want someone who would try to sell me on Botox or procedures I didn't want or need, and wanted someone who knew what they were talking about... and I found both in Dr. Agha today. I have read the other reviews on Yelp, so let me make a few things very clear. Today for my first visit to Summit Dermatology, I arrived about 5 minutes early to complete the paperwork that always comes with a new doctor. When I turned the paperwork back in, I was immediately escorted back to an exam room. after speaking with the assistant for a few minutes about my general history, Dr. Agha was there to see me. From the minute she stepped into the room, she was warm and caring and gave me a run down of my options for treatment - immediately telling me that she had samples for me to try of all products before spending the money out of pocket to try them! While my visit today was completely on time, I can understand why a Doctor like this might right late sometimes, because she listed to all of my concerns and patiently responded to all of my questions. I think that is much better than having someone race through your visit to stay on time! All in all I am giving them 4 stars because today was only my first visit, but if you are looking for a dermatologist in the area, please consider giving Dr. Agha at try. read more

I arrive the required 15 min prior to my app't and paperwork was finished before the scheduled time. Appointment started late. Nurse took the traditional history and Dr. Agha walked in when she was walking out. Dr. Agha spent less than 10 min. with me, explaining that my concern could easily be frozen off. She left the room & I was escorted to the front desk where I was instructed to set up another app't, 2 wks out. Other derms have done these small procedures during the visit. Multiple visits here, and some appointments have run as late as an hour. The environment feels unprofessional, and I've noticed a lack of proper sterile techniques. The staff seems unorganized and unprepared during several encounters, and dermatologists doesn't acknowledge her students, which is disappointing. Today Dr. Rania Agha performed a Silhouette Instalift on my face! I cannot be happier! What a difference it made immediately! In the last year, I've lost weight and my face became thinner. Absolutely horrible place to go for any procedure! Customer service is absolutely awful. They billed my insurance for 10k and didn't perform half of the services billed. The facility is so dirty and staff has no clue as to what's going on. Not to mention the doctor performs procedures in her street cloths. I am a physician and have known Dr Agha for over 7 years professionally. She is the smartest, hardest working physician and business onwer. I recently became her patient seeking a treatment that I am not capable of doing on ny own. Her office manager Heather was a gem in facilitating the appointment set up and helping me navigate the health insurance process for my procedure to be covered by my insurance. The office is extremely professional and staff is utter friendly. I am starting to fall in love with this place. Having spent the last four months visiting for laser treatments, I now have a much better gauge of the great service provided by the staff members and the stellar results. We can not change the fact that we are all born with unwanted hair. And it goes without saying that it is just one more maintenance area for the already busy woman. So when you find a dermatologist who offers laser hair removal that is safe to use on women with dark skin and at a price that doesn't choke you up, you jump on this time saving, heaven sent opportunity without hesitation. While I could stop at the fabulous results, I like the fact that there are appointments after 5pm on weekdays and on Saturdays for laser treatment. Isn't that amazing? In four visits, I can say that Maria is usually on schedule. There have been only one instance in which I have waited more than 2-3 minutes. And Maria is always sure to book you for your next appointment once your treatment is done.... This place is so bad, I want to give it a 0 but I can't, so I give it a 1 . Worst , most rude, condescending doctor ever. Office staff is sad, Unknowledgeable, and unprofessional. I have been waiting for a call back for 2 weeks . Had a big rash all over my eyes and face, she walked in, said put aquaphor on your lids and laughed and walked out. 2 days later I had to go to the hospital because the rash worsened. I called the office numerous times trying to speak to the doctor or to anyone who can help, no one helps or calls back, they made me pay 150$ cash, waited for 45 min to be seen for 2 seconds. Dr. Agha is absolutely amazing. I went in with what I thought was a suspicious looking mole and, having health anxiety, was not in the best of spirits. She put my mind at ease and made me feel like a priority. Out of an abundance of precaution, she removed my mole because (as she said) she doesn't take any chances with her patients. She even personally called me with the biopsy results to make sure that I fully understood them and to address any questions or concerns. Dr. Agha, M.D. is truly a special doctor. She makes you feel comfortable and safe. Her staff is just as professional and fantastic. I am one of those people that avoid having things done. Dr. Agha was able to take care of my small legion on my face and upon finishing inspected my bulging varicose veins on my legs. (Which I had fixed supposedly by a vascular surgeon last year) She was able to take care of making them look much better... But, more importantly the pain and pinching I was experiencing is gone! Our appointment was at 10:15. We arrived at the office at 10:10. We were not seen by the Doctor until 11:40!! Horrifically long wait with two small children. 2 year old had a meltdown as the Doctor was explaining something and she stops and asked if we could "please give something to the child to distract her".....REALLY??? People make appointments for a reason! There was no communication from staff in regards to long wait. We found the Doctor minimized our concerns. Would have to come back for another appointment to discuss treatment plan. We felt the overall experience was quite unprofessional. read more

Hand down best dermatologist I have been treated by. Was highly recommend by a family friend after not having any luck finding one in my home state. I now fly in just to receive treatment by Dr.Agha in the summer I drove the 13 hours to see her. She has given me the conference to enjoy time at the beach without covering my legs. Not one to typically post reviews, but sharing my experience with Dr. Agha and her team to hopefully help other patients with atypical or cancerous moles. Had I seen someone share their experience on here, I would not have trusted Dr. Agha with my skin. Summary of my experience: Dr. Agha excised two of my moles after pathology determined that my moles contained atypical cells. A week or so after getting my first mole excised, I noticed that my excision did not seem to be healing well & asked Dr. Agha about it when she was performing my 2nd excision. She removed a few of the stitches stating that it was a little irritated and gave me Synalar to put on my excision. Shortly after that procedure, I noticed that my excision was opening significantly (despite me resting during that time) & was developing exudate (which looked almost like a tooth was growing in my back). I began growing concerned about my excisions & how they were healing, so I reached out to my best friend's mother, who is also a dermatologist. After looking at photos of my back, she encouraged me to send Dr. Agha photos of my excision in the patient portal for her to provide medical advice on. She encouraged me to have her re-suture the excisions as to avoid worse scarring. Taking my friend's mother's advice, I posted photos in my patient portal & asked Dr. Agha if I needed to come back in to have them looked at. After not getting a response back from Dr. Agha, I called her office & her Physician Assistant informed me that Dr. Agha told her to tell me that I should let them heal open as to avoid more scarring and suggested that I clean them with hydrogen peroxide and continue applying Synalar on the excisions. I went back to my friend's mother & told her that I was informed to let them heal open & to apply hydrogen peroxide to them. She was shocked by that advice and informed me that hydrogen peroxide would kill the cells I needed to help my wound heal. She then recommended that I saw a Plastic Surgeon to fix the work that Dr. Agha did as to prevent worse scarring. I then went to a Plastic Surgeon who also was concerned with the medical advice and work done by Dr. Agha. He informed me that the sutures she used, chromic sutures, are sutures that are often times very aggravating to the skin & as a result, not often used or recommended by his office. Thankfully, he was able to remove the exudate that had developed & re-suture my skin. The difference between the work he & Dr. Agha performed was astonishing. Thankfully, my wounds healed wonderfully after the work my Plastic Surgeon performed. Why I am writing this: I am very lucky to have physicians in my life who can provide me with medical advice. Had I not had access to other physicians, I would have thought that what I went through was normal & would have had horrible scarring on my back compared to what I have now. I also am writing this because my experience with Dr. Agha was further worsened by the lack of communication with her office. When I received a bill in the mail from Dr. Agha, I emailed her & her team asking if the amount I paid my Plastic Surgeon could be deducted from the out of pocket amount I owed her. They never responded to my email & after sending follow-up emails & calling her office - I was able to speak to Dr. Agha. She was extremely defensive when she jumped on the phone & started to tell me that I was wrong for going to a Plastic Surgeon without giving her a chance to "fix her work". Each time I tried to speak, she would cut me off and talk over me. As a patient who has an extreme fear of needles & had a horrible experience, getting yelled at on the phone made this the worst medical experience I have ever had. read more

I first met dr Rania when looking for someone who could treat my elderly father. My father had a growth on his cheek that his pcp suggested he have looked at by dermatologist. Dr Rania treated my father with incredible kindness. We scheduled a followup appointment at which time she removed the growth. Again she was extremely gentle with his surgery. No further treatment was needed for my father.....after chatting with dr Rania I found out she works with patients who have alopecia, a condition I have been dealing with for the past 6 years. Dr started me on a regimen of steroid shots and creams and did not give up until we were able to find the right combination to deal with this ugly disease. As of today I am thrilled to say I have a complete head of hair. It took battles with my insurance company but dr Rania and her staff never gave up until we had results. I cannot thank her enough for helping me deal with this horrible disease. read more

Had a mole on my shoulder that I was concerned about. The Dr checked it out and said she would have to do a shave biopsy to see if there was anything abnormal about it. Called me later to say it was not cancer but abnormal so she would like to excise it. She said it would leave a scar that looked like a line but it reality it is now a large circle about 4 inches in diameter. Very unsightly. Was later charged $700 for this horrible procedure I wish I never had done. read more

I just received a bill from this business for a free vein consultation that occurred in January 2018. This is now the second time they have tried to charge me for this visit. In November 2019, Summit dermatology, billed our credit card without notifying us for the free consultation. Apparently the doctor visit and the ultrasound are not included in the "free" consultation. We had to dispute the charge with the assistance of our credit card company using Summit dermatology's doctors notes from my visit, and actually won the dispute in early 2020. Now in September 2022, I have received yet another bill from Summit dermatology for the same free vein Consultation. I called Summit dermatology thinking there must be some mistake. However, Sana from billing screamed at me on the phone telling me that I need to pay them now. it seems very odd that they keep sending bills every two years. That is just enough time for your credit card company to not have computerized records. I believe this place is a huge scam, and I'm wondering if they're doing this to anybody else. read more

I scheduled a dermatology consultation with Dr. Rania Agha via a smart phone application called ZocDoc. The application indicated that Dr. Agha is in my insurance network as a preferred provider. While the visit was short (approximately lasted 15 minutes), Dr. Agha's bedside manner was exceptional. After her initial physical exam of my dermatologic concerns, Dr. Agha said that biopsies would be necessary to determine the character of 2 of my skin formations. I did not intend on spending anything that would exceed the consultation costs during this visit, so I explicitly asked Dr. Agha about the out-of-pocket expenses that I would incur because of the two procedures. Dr. Agha immediately responded and stated that there would be no out-of-pocket cost to me, which I later learned was a lie. I opted for the procedures because I trusted the physician's deceptive statement. Approximately two months after the visit, I received a bill from the physician's business for $598.87. As an Army medical student, I am on a fixed budget and cannot afford unpredictable expenses, so I contacted the billing representative to ask about this issue. I was told rudely that nothing can be done and that I should not have listened to the physician because she does not know enough about my insurance plan. The billing technician continued, with a very condescending attitude, to explain that I should have known my own insurance plan better, which prompted me to address her more assertively at the latter portions of the conversation. I further asked whether there are available discounts or payment plans for this transaction and received a negative answer. When I asked to speak with the technician's supervisor or manager, she said that she was the only person with whom I may speak. Ultimately, I feel deceived by the way in which Dr. Agha and her business handled my billing questions and issues. I never intended to spend money on procedures and would not have opted for the procedures had I received the truthful answer that there would be an out-of-pocket cost. My trust for this physician and her business is beyond repair! read more

I told the doctor that I was interested in having lip injections. She recommended that I have her use belotero lip filler. I went with her recommendation because I trust her medical opinion. I paid $600 on on the belotero lip filler. My lips looked a little bit bigger for the next three days. Then they went back to normal. I had another appointment to come back in a a couple of weeks. I explained my disappointment to the women at the front desk and showed them the pictures of my lips before the injections. They agreed that it looked the same. One of the women apologized and said they would fix it. When I went to the room to see the doctor I explained that I was unhappy with the results, that there was no difference. She disagreed with me and had me hold up a hand mirror while she pointed at the 'difference' that wasn't there. She noted that I could have additional injections in a couple of months, but I'd have to pay for it. I'm really angry about this, it was $600! read more

However I was given prescriptions and have had to call 3 different times to have them called into my pharmacy. They still haven't been called in. It has been way over a month now. Worst experience ever!! I have to doctors/ specialists but this doctor and her staff is pathetic.. last Thursday I mentioned them my skin issue with pain 8/10(worst) and need immediate relief. Doctor prescribed me some ointment and said she would send to my pharmacy.. I went to pharmacy for pick up and there I got to know that no prescription has been received.. I somehow passed the weekend with pain.. on Monday I called them and being feeling sorry the receptionist was very casual as if she s not cared for her patients.. today is Tuesday till now I have nt received my ointment.. I would have called my insurance to stop payment but the clinic has rule of taking my credit card information.. To add more they waiting time of more than 30 mints which s too much to wait with a small baby.. but they are not bothered about.. read more

Went to Dr Aga on a referral from my chiropractor . She was very nice first impression and I was happy to hear her price was $11/unit for Botox. I find that reasonable and don't like to be overcharged for it. Two weeks later my right eye looked like it wore off so I went in for what I thought would be a touch up. I went to check out and they told me $13/unit. I asked why since two weeks ago it was only $11. First they argued with me about what I was charged (wrong) then told me Dr Aga told them to charge me $13 a unit for this visit . I won't go back. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Agha's for a few years. I have always dealt with very sensitive skin which includes adult acne, sun damage and other skin issues; most recently (as in right now) a severe case of poison ivy. Dr. Agha always knows what exactly to do and prescribes the best solutions which always involves a less painful and quick end result with no scarring. Dr. Agha explains everything in great detail, step by step, and in terms that I understand. I would be a mess if I did not have Dr. Agha as my phone contact. Avoid, avoid, avoid! I was a patience for a few months and will never return. The prices kept going up, I was kept waiting in a room for over and hour without anyone notifying me of why I was waiting for so long! At my fifth visit I was told to come back for a follow-up in 2 weeks, when I came for the follow-up they showed me to a room, and then were surprised I was there. The whole thing lasted for about 10 minutes. To my bewilderment, I received a bill in the mail for the last appointment charging me $200 for a treatment I never had! Dr. Rania Agha is amazing. She is very experienced and she carefully listens all the time. I have been struggling with acne for a long time. My primary doctor even couldn't figure out how to control my acne but Dr. Rania is the best dermatologist and her prescribed treatment is making a big difference to my skin. I also recommended my brother to see her when he got the bad skin reaction on his face and his all face turned red just before his wedding. He instantly saw results from treatment by Dr. Rania and his face was very clear and free of redness on his wedding. I will strongly recommend DR. RANIA to anyone who is struggling with acne. Well Dr.Agha is really good with her dermatological skills and she did really good job with my cyst extraction but was given false information from reception.if you pay out kf pocket I wohld recommend going to hwr. If you are going to use insurance I would not recommend this place because they charge $1250 on insurance om something that is $250 cash. Rip off I was using my insurance first time (had deductible to meet) so I asked receptionist whether to pay out of pocket or go with insurance. She said that if you pay out of pocket, it will be around 250$ but I decided to go with insurance as she recommended. After 1 month,I received a bill of 500 $ from doctor office for my procedure and this was after my insurance chipped in. When I called to inquire, billing department lady was sooooo rude and said I can't do anything .I called doctor office to inquire why do I have to pay 500 $ where I could have gotten the procedure done in 250 $.She said that she doesn't know anything and transferred me back to billing lady who again was very rude and said that she cant help. After few days , I received a call from doctor herself and she said that she have been insulted as I am judging her services and accusing her.When I said that I was given false information from your reception , she hung up on me..Really Disappointed!!! read more

Update: Although the below was true, after I recommended Summit to a family member to have a biopsy done, they still have a scar on their arm the size of the biopsy over 3 years later! Good bedside manner, unsure about actual dermatology practices. Dr. Agha is one of the nicest doctors I've been to. She is extremely knowledgeable, honest, and truly cares. My fiance got a biopsy done and barely felt a thing! Not to mention it has healed quickly and neatly. I also went in and ended up laughing with the doctor and the nurse during the visit and I left there feeling happy and confident. If you're looking for a quality, personable, intelligent dermatologist, then I would definitely recommend Dr. Agha! Note** Don't let the building size/location fool you, everyone inside is very professional and it is neat and clean just like any other derm office :) read more

This place is very good, I go here whenever I have skin issues because Dr Agha knows what she is doing and has helped me with every skin problem I've encountered with a high success rate. I've been to a few dermatologists and Dr Agha is easily the friendliest, most down to earth and most helpful specialist I've been to. The only reason I can't give this 5 stars is because the staff is not quite as good as the doctor in that they seem a bit forgetful (or possibly understaffed?) about certain things like calling in prescriptions or getting Dr to call me regarding a question. read more
