I don't think a lot of veterans realize the services this office can provide. It's a convenient location on Prospect and I always find metered parking nearby instead of the nearby lots ($5-ish). Be prepared with lots of documentations (namely your DD214!) and that can certainly expedite things for you!

I lived in Lakewood for a little under two years and I operated a business in the area for a little…read moreover two; during this time I joined the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce. I found it to be a very supportive group. Not only did joining the chamber help drum up a lot of business, but their events were fun and informative, and I met a ton of interesting people. I always enjoyed the chamber meetings...they offered an opportunity to meet all sorts of interesting and important people in the community, from business owners to local politicians. The staff who run the chamber are a cheerful bunch and are hard workers and are eager to help new businesses succeed. I am very grateful for their support and guidance. The group was also a positive group: Lakewood is culturally and politically very diverse and over the course of my membership I saw a number of controversial and potentially divisive issues arise, including a school tax levy and an issue of eminent domain use that drew national attention. The chamber did exactly what I think any organization should do: they took thoughtful stances on these issues, but were careful to avoid giving the public the impression that their official stance reflected the views of all its members. I would recommend anyone running a business in or around Lakewood to consider joining the chamber of commerce. Compared to other business networking groups that are often dominated by people interested primarily in self-promotion, I found the Lakewood Chamber to be a place full of sincere, honest business owners and community members. Joining the chamber and going to their events can be one of the best ways to get tied into the lakewood community.

I was here at the Cuyahoga County Justice Center for a meeting on the 14th floor on Tuesday…read more06/26/018. This was my first time in the building. The building is large. You will find the Cleveland Municipal Court, Cleveland Housing Court, Cuyahoga County Clerk of Courts (Civil and Criminal Divisions only), and the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court (general division). I'm not sure if other city departments or businesses have office space here but I bet so. Street parking is very limited so arrive early as I should have or take a bus/taxi here. I parked underground inside what looked like the Hilton Hotel parking lot. Since I parked underground, I was able to enter a Justice Center tunnel and enter the Justice Center through the back way which was nice because there is less traffic underground. Normally, people enter through the front entrance and go through airport type security. I was checked by a security guard in the parking garage after I parked my car and begun walking towards the Justice center tunnel. So, it was a smooth walk in as I'm sure there are lines for security through the main entrance. Once inside, I asked for directions to the 14th floor. A security man at the desk was nice enough to help me. There are 2 sets of elevators. The second set goes from floor 11 until about floor 23. I was shocked to see how LONG the lines were for the elevator going up from floor 11 onwards. I guess everyone was going to court. Luckily, I only stayed in line for 5 minutes otherwise, I may have been late to my meeting/interview. It would be nice if they had someone standing by all the elevators while controlling the traffic of people. This is my 124th Yelp review overall. 78 reviews for 2018. I am aiming for 100 reviews in 2018. Reviewed on 26 June 2018.
