The doctor literally had her food piled up on the patient's examination table. They tried measuring my height without taking my heeled booth off (despite the fact that I asked them multiple times). They make you stand and wait to see the doctor outside her office, hearing all the sensitive information about the patient ahead of you. I just cannot believe the amount of unprofessionalism and inappropriate conduct of a healthcare office that is not cited by public health. I feel really bad for anyone still receiving services here. How are they even open? How hasn't anybody filed a lawsuit against this private practice office?

The first time we came and learned that their computer failed so all appointments were canceled. Next time we came and there was an equipment malfunction so again, all appointments were canceled. Total loss of time. If they don't know, some people are actually working and have to take a leave from the job to see the doctor. Also, they have a smallest waiting area I ever saw. It's a very small space outside the office right between two doors and you cannot even see a receptionist from there. It's like they do not let you in and makes you wait outside hiding behind the closed second door. Apparently, patients are not good enough or noble enough to stay in one room with office stuff.

I made an appointment for 12:45, and although we were taken to a room right away, the experience went downhill from there. The doctor who saw my father seemed like he had no clue what he was doing. He told us my dad tested negative, then randomly asked if he wanted antibiotics--without explaining what they were for. I had to ask. He then said, "It could be an upper respiratory infection." Could be? I need a doctor to be sure, not guess. He didn't prescribe anything because my dad is on multiple medications. My dad told the doctor to call his nephrologist to see what he can prescribe him since he's on multiple medications. I called this morning only to find out they're not prescribing anything since it's viral--information that was never told to us yesterday. And being told to follow up with his nephrologist made no sense at all. That's a kidney doctor. What does that have to do with a respiratory illness? The supervisor at the desk was really nice and the only person who seemed to know what she was doing. But overall, they seriously need REAL doctors who are confident, clear, and knowledgeable. I would NEVER go back to another CityMD. I'd rather sit in the emergency room--at least I know I'll be seen by real doctors who know what they're doing.

Windows are closed. Did I mention filthy? Even though I saw all of this, I thought to myself, "this is who my sons regular doctor referred me to since he's on vacation." My sons regular doctor, great person, great doctor, clean place, and he's very reassuring. So why he referred me here? I don't know. Now I'm inside. Before seeing the doctor, of course the assistant is doing her thing. Vitals, history, etc. the way she took my sons temperature: she stuck the thermometer underneath his arm pit with his shirt on. Read 97.3. "Ok no fever" is what she says. She asks me how tall is he. I say 36inches. She says no that to big. After she checks for herself, behold, my son is 36 inches. She weighs him with his clothes on. She doesn't get a heart rate. She tries to get a history and doesn't even know what we are saying because she barely speaks English. Fine. I'm still saying my sons regular doctor sent me here for a reason. Alas! The doctor finally comes, doesn't do a full assessment, and misdiagnosis him. I tried asking her several questions regarding what she said was the problem. After her reply, she just asked her so called assistant to print out something to explain to me what she diagnosed my son with. At this point, I took my son and left. I than took my son right away to the pediatric urgent care in Atlantic avenue. Clean, bright, friendly. The assistant came in, took full set of vitals. And guess what?! My sons temperature was 100.3. The doctor came in, did a thorough assessment and diagnosed my son with something other than this woman said. Had I not come to this urgent care, I would of been giving my son the wrong medication.

Most of my experience has been in the medical side, downstairs. My primary care provider is here--she's a nurse. After many appointments with primary care doctors who had me see their residents instead (so I had no continuous relationship with a single person who knew my history), I opted for a nurse at Sunset Terrace as my primary provider and I am much happier. Also, I've never had any problems with Sunset Terrace accepting my Medicaid (Fidelis). I have been here many times and never had to pay a cent. Huge relief for someone with health problems and low income!

Regarding Front Desk Staff at 5th Avenue Dental Location…read more I am writing to formally complain about the treatment my 78-year-old mother received during her dental appointment on May 15, 2026, at the 5th Avenue location. The front desk receptionist with black hair was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. She never looked up from her computer while speaking to patients, and her name tag was flipped backward so her name could not be identified. My elderly mother was instructed to check in using the portal kiosk machine. Being 78 years old, she politely asked for assistance. The receptionist responded in a nasty and disrespectful manner, telling her that it was "not her job" to help her check in and that she "needs to learn how to do it herself." This treatment toward an elderly patient was completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, we later discovered that this same receptionist had previously given my brother incorrect information when he scheduled the appointment. Because of that misinformation, my mother now has to restart the approval process in order to continue her dental work, causing unnecessary stress, delays, and frustration. We have already contacted the complaint line at 347-377-3544 and left multiple voicemails. We will continue following up until this matter is properly addressed. We expect: A response from management A review of this employee's conduct Better accommodation and respect for elderly patients Clarification regarding the misinformation that caused my mother's treatment delays No patient, especially a senior citizen, should be treated this way.
