I made an appointment for 12:45, and although we were taken to a room right away, the experience went downhill from there. The doctor who saw my father seemed like he had no clue what he was doing. He told us my dad tested negative, then randomly asked if he wanted antibiotics--without explaining what they were for. I had to ask. He then said, "It could be an upper respiratory infection." Could be? I need a doctor to be sure, not guess. He didn't prescribe anything because my dad is on multiple medications. My dad told the doctor to call his nephrologist to see what he can prescribe him since he's on multiple medications. I called this morning only to find out they're not prescribing anything since it's viral--information that was never told to us yesterday. And being told to follow up with his nephrologist made no sense at all. That's a kidney doctor. What does that have to do with a respiratory illness? The supervisor at the desk was really nice and the only person who seemed to know what she was doing. But overall, they seriously need REAL doctors who are confident, clear, and knowledgeable. I would NEVER go back to another CityMD. I'd rather sit in the emergency room--at least I know I'll be seen by real doctors who know what they're doing.

I knew I wouldn't be able to get into see my OBGYN until the following week, and since I was pregnant, I figured I better play it safe and get checked out. My insurance was sent a bill for $770 for the yeast infection test (a simple swab test), of which I was made to pay $180 out of pocket! An over the counter test at CVS costs $20. This is insanity.

Worst experience ever. I wouldn't take a nyc rat to be treated over here! This place is filthy…read more They barely speak English. It's hot. No air condition. Ceilings are so low. Windows are closed. Did I mention filthy? Even though I saw all of this, I thought to myself, "this is who my sons regular doctor referred me to since he's on vacation." My sons regular doctor, great person, great doctor, clean place, and he's very reassuring. So why he referred me here? I don't know. Now I'm inside. Before seeing the doctor, of course the assistant is doing her thing. Vitals, history, etc. the way she took my sons temperature: she stuck the thermometer underneath his arm pit with his shirt on. Read 97.3. "Ok no fever" is what she says. She asks me how tall is he. I say 36inches. She says no that to big. After she checks for herself, behold, my son is 36 inches. She weighs him with his clothes on. She doesn't get a heart rate. She tries to get a history and doesn't even know what we are saying because she barely speaks English. Fine. I'm still saying my sons regular doctor sent me here for a reason. Alas! The doctor finally comes, doesn't do a full assessment, and misdiagnosis him. I tried asking her several questions regarding what she said was the problem. After her reply, she just asked her so called assistant to print out something to explain to me what she diagnosed my son with. At this point, I took my son and left. I than took my son right away to the pediatric urgent care in Atlantic avenue. Clean, bright, friendly. The assistant came in, took full set of vitals. And guess what?! My sons temperature was 100.3. The doctor came in, did a thorough assessment and diagnosed my son with something other than this woman said. Had I not come to this urgent care, I would of been giving my son the wrong medication.

Unless you're looking to sharpen your skills at filling out forms and making appointments to make…read moreappointments, look elsewhere for care. I placed a phone call several weeks ago to set up an appointment in order to seek help with something time-sensitive and was happy to get an appointment within the month. That appointment, however, was an hour of filling out forms and answering questions such as "do you own a gun" and "how do you feel about making this appointment." I have no problem taking the time to fill out all the forms and answer all of the questions asked - IF - I am able to then actually see the professional I spent the time and/or money I invested to see. This facility, however, did not comply. After the hour and a half form filing/question and answer session, I was then sent to a receptionist who in turn asked me what day worked for me to see a professional. "Today," I answered. Alas, I was told I needed to make an appointment to be seen by someone who would give me an evaluation to determine if I could see a professional at all, and the next appointment for an eval was nearly two months away. This meant that by the time I would actually get in the door to speak to someone about how to handle my time-sensitive issue, my time-sensitive issue would have already been done and dusted for more than a month. If you're looking to manage your stress, definitely do not seek help from this group. I felt significantly more stressed out coming out of this facility than I did going in. But if you like waiting rooms and forms, this place will not disappoint.
