Thank you super Yelper Terry K. for organizing the Summer Solstice gathering with old and new friends! The lovely Wu Family created a special menu for each of us lucky guests to enjoy! Mr. Wu went the extra mile to serve humongous hamachi kama to the non-raw food diners! Now that shows how much Domo Cafe cares about their customers! Thank you to all those who shared special treats! Thank you to Li Y. who created the event page for us Yelpers share Domo Cafe to those looking for an excellent place to dine. I was excited for this dinner as I was ill the night before an Elite event was held here. Boy, now I why everyone raved about this establishment! P.S. you can also visit Domo Cafe's other location in Chinatown. Support this local business. You won't regret it!

SummYuzu moments... On this Summer Solstice Day we gathered to enjoy this longest day of the year at Domo Cafe thank you to Terry K for putting all this together. Walking in was a delight to see many already have arrived early and to catch up with friends and not have to decided on the menu as it's all been taken care of by owner Mr. Wu and his team which has put together a cool Yuzu dream menu especially I've been craving for Yuzu lately probably as it's such a cool and refreshing item. This three course meal includes... - Salad with slice of ahi, hamachi and salmon - Yuzu Ahi Poke Bowl (with other choice of Yuzu Salmon Bowl or Nigiri) - Yuzu Udon Starting the evening with a fresh salad was perfect along with slices of sashimi did make it a great touch that I never expected but not sure which I loved more the Yuzu Ahi Poke Bowl or Yuzu Udon as both gently exploded with Yuzu so fresh and done just perfectly udon was topped with kamaboko slices, wake and aburaage. I thoroughly enjoyed both so much that I will be back to enjoy it again. Along with bites it was BYOB though I took advantage of their grab and go display case that's filled with lots of yummy sips and immediately grabbed two cans of Yuzu sparkling drinks to share with my work bestie tomorrow and a Peach drink which came in handy as Toan D brough a bottle of bubbly and kindly shared some as my asian glow came on strong combined it for a yummy mimosa lol! Great to see everyone and mingle along with some cute treats we shared in this cozy cafe thank you again to Terry and the entire Domo Cafe staff and Li Y for creating this page. Cheers to Summer!

June 20, 2024, a Summer Solstice like no other: ..."a time of joy, abundance, and a deep connection to the natural world as the Earth basks in the longest hours of daylight." Takes Terry K to select this day for a special celebration enjoyed by all in attendance. What was remarkable? Domo Café was buzzing last evening with a gathering of 20+ occupying 5+ indoor tables and still taking care of the needs of their regular customers. So much love filled this space with fresh colorful food, laughter, sharing of goodies and hugs galore. To see that many smiles, the UYE paparazzi was alive and in full force. Thankyou Terry and friends for the most delightful Summer Solstice in my life.

Terry K. always plan these Cool UYE and I'm glad to be a part of. It was so nice to attend, since I haven't signed up for the recent Elite events. It was nice to be together at the same UYE and celebrate Summer Solstice! I haven't been to Domo Cafe before and I usually don't enjoy eating raw fish, but I wanted to attend. Thank you Terry for asking Mr. Wu if he can make a Special meal for me and another Yeep. We were served boiled shrimp on salad, delicious hamachi Kama and rice, and refreshing yuzu udon. Since I can't have shrimp, I was grateful to Iris for swapping with me for her sashimi salad. I added and cooked my salmon sashimi in the udon which was delicious. :) Mr. Wu and Domo Cafe worked so hard serving the 20 plus yeeps and their regular customers. Appreciate the excellent service and delicious offerings! Thank for for the new friendships I've made and catching up with the old. Fellowshipping together was so memorable! So glad I finally got to try Domo Cafe and to be a part of this gathering! Thanks again to Terry, Mr. Wu, the Domo Cafe crew and everyone! Thank you for all the goodies and drinks that were shared! I had a fun time and good seeing everyone again!

Good Food Good Fun Great People Summertime so best time to get out and enjoy life! The Natto was great. It's funny as I don't eat much raw things but Uni and the Teri Chicken suited me fine and my appetite.

Topping dinner off with a steamy bowl of Yuzu Udon!

A great event. Thanks Terry and Domo Cafe. It was nice seeing old friends and meeting new friends over some good food. There is a parking lot and looks like they do a lot of takeout business. The fish is fresh and the yuzu gives it a nice clean kick. Come on down to Domo Cafe.

I'm at Kahumana Cafe for dinner and not Uye Westside Lunch. Sorry, the menu is Kahumana Cafe's…read morebefore Uye for dinner. The menu existed before Uye and prepared by the same cook whom I've known before Uye. It's this menu I've been waiting to come back too. There has been a reorganization of Kahumana with revamping of the staff for the better. We drove from Kaka'ako to this hidden gem...worth a nice ride to the country. Drink: Kahumana Cooler (Hibiscus) like infused into water. Appetizer: Hummus and turmeric pita bread was unbelievably tasty which added to garlic hummus. Wow! We had to order more pita to finish the appetizer. I saved leftover pita to go with my soup and main meal. Soup: pumpkin...nice flavor of rosemary with small pieces. Main dish: Mahi mahi, quinoa, book Choy, eggplant, fennel vegetable, pineapple salsa. This is a multi-tasting and multi-textured meal. It really hit my senses. When something is slightly bitter such as Fennel, the pineapple salsa counters it which balances it...Great job Rahjid, cook!!! The presentation was so pretty with a violet edible flower. Eggplant absorbed the juices and pesto dripped in parts of plate which I enjoyed!!! Book Choy and sliced up fennel had a crunchiness...nice, very nice. Main entree comes with soup or salad. They have a refrigeration in the dining room filled with items to purchase and take home. I love Lilikoi Cheesecake! It's $4 per piece and take home was $15 which $5 cheaper buying from the refrigeration. They had other items, tumeric bread and hummus. My next visit will include these additional items. Oh yummy! Ciao!!!

I'm saddened and disheartened to leave this review, but this place is not what it used to be…read more Kahumana used to be beautiful and full of lovely farmers and staff. Not only this, but it was a tourist attraction for people looking to dine at their cafe, roam around their beautiful property, as well as going on their farm tours. However, this is not the case anymore. When you drive in now, there is little to no customers or staff around. The landscape is unkept, and the plants are no longer alive. There used to be farmers walking around and keeping the cafe busy while they each their lunch. Now the cafe is quiet and hardly any other customers besides the regulars that go there every Saturday. Not only this, their annual festival used to be extremely fun and entertaining. Cars would be parking everywhere extending to outside on the street. This year, it was short and somber.
