We stayed here just one night while we are on our path to see Mackinac Island. We had made a…read morereservation via a website, but they had our contact information but not the confirmation of our reservation. Anyway, we worked through it and they found a spot for us and for $44 a night. We had a site with water and electric that was a pull through, super long with a nice fire pit. There are mostly seasonal campers here so most of the spots by the river all had pretty permanent looking campers with attached structures and such. Most of them were pretty neat, they were a couple that were a bit sketch. There is a separate portable building that had Newer, looking washers and dryers. There were 10 dryers but #5 were marked as out of order and they were eight washers and all of those appear to work. They did not seem to be a charge for anything, which is really nice. There was also individual bathrooms and shower Rooms that look super clean. A pretty large roll of firewood is about $10 and we did take advantage of this and have a campfire. There aren't a lot of people here as it's a little early in the season, but I can imagine this place gets busy on the weekends and holidays. The staff were super friendly and you're just a few miles out of town. There seem to be quite a bit to do in iron Mountain so if we do come back, we would plan on staying a little bit longer so we could explore.

I made a reservation for one night in September for an upcoming trip…read more Site was $60.00 +taxes and fees etc... Came to a total of $70.00 and some change. No big deal. When I reserved the site and checked out they charged my credit card $100.00 and some change. No break down,no explanation. Now I was upset. I immediately (within 5 minutes) canceled my reservation. Here is the second thing that upset me. Refund fees $42.00. Now I am smoking hot. I called to vent to the manager, told her in great detail what happened and what their company did. Guess what she said? Enjoy California (where we are currently staying, not where we are from), and hung up the telephone. I will be calling my credit card company to see if they can help me. If I could leave a negative star rating I would. Haven't even been there and got terrible results..

I can't see camping here, unless it's during the less crowded shoulder season, just because the sites are so close together and there isn't much privacy. The beach is long, but narrow, and there is plenty of parking. From the shore, you can see the ski jump atop Pine Mountain in the distance. It's a nice place to take a break, when needed, and not to far from either end of Iron Mountain. 23/2025

I'm a veteran camper of the Midwest and thought I'd seen the worst storms. Nope!…read more Lake Antoine is great, small and still and cool. My lover and I kayaked across to a small island and had a great time...except for when I slipped on some moss on a rock. Meh, to be expected. The showers and bathrooms were good for a campground, great proximity to town. The campground is small and covered with pine trees - no underbrush. The campsites are small, open, and closely clustered. This is excellent for large groups and families, but my lover and I wanted privacy. Oh well. Our neighbor lady, Cathy, was super-awesome and we enjoyed hanging out with her! We heard some stunning coyote calls around 1am. Then a lightningstorm began at 2am and continued until 4am, when it became a constant drizzle. Of course we can't blame the park for the storm, that's just understood with camping. Around 3am, I peeked out of our 2 person tent; we faced away from the lake, which was about 60 feet away. All I saw was water!! We didn't know if this was just a giant puddle or if the lake had flooded! And since the storm was still going and the power was out, I wasn't about to get out and look around. When we emerged around 9am the next morning, to the sounds of many dogs barking, huge puddles were evident everywhere. Cathy explained that crews had removed fallen branches at dawn. Of course none of this is the fault of the park and I appreciate that they had cleared away deritis. Had the campsites not been so low, the flood damage wouldn't have been so bad. I wouldn't recommend camping at Lake Antoine if you want to "rough it" and have some privacy. This campsite would probably be better for groups with large campers.

She takes great care of the cabins and always has great suggestions when you ask her about anything local from food to activities. The property is great for walks and there's some horses and donkeys to check out too. Our dogs always feel at home on the ranch. We love to ride ATV trails and Spur of the Moment has trail access. You ride from your front door to anywhere you like in the area, no trailering. On our last trip we brought a side x side and all the great trails permitted our lager machine. All of the meals we ate out we did by riding our machines to and Ann supplied us with maps so we knew where we were going. The trail system has so many local and long distant places to go to it's good for beginners as well as veterans. Last thing that we've always enjoyed is the other guests. The Ranch is not only good to ATV'ers it's VERY horse friendly. On a busy weekend you can have all types of guests and on every trip we've done it's never mattered what you're into, people are just friendly. It's flat out relaxing.
