Extremely appalled at the customer service and listening skills!…read more I used to be a patient here until the practitioner, I loved and followed to this practice, had a parting of ways with them which brought her out of state. After this experience it is clear to me why the practitioners here were not suggested in her goodbye email among the several she suggested. My husband used to see Dr Cole before she went on maternity leave. I had worked with Dr Walton/Eastman once in a cleanse class and my PT suggested Dr Eastman and this clinic specifically when I said I was looking for a new ND so we decided to stay. I called and asked if Emily if 1) we could do our appointments back to back/together 2) If it would be possible to get our blood work panel (cholesterol, Vit D, etc) report out of the way before we came in 3) If they could also have a UTI test called in so my PT and I could verify I didn't have a urinary track infection. I wasn't having symptoms at all or pain but we are working on pelvic floor issues. I had had a UTI 2 years earlier that had been treated. Emily said that would be fine, but then left me a voice mail & email later (on friday evening): "Dr. Eastman is concerned that you are not going to get a UA today. Given your report of symptoms of a UTI, it is Dr. Eastman's medical opinion that you need to be tested for infection; an untreated infection of any kind can be dangerous. Since you have been at this clinic in the past (although not under Dr. Eastman's care), she has placed an order for a UA." I had NO symptoms and I did not go in that next day even though we did everything appropriate for a fasting blood draw and were ready to go. I called the lab in advance and they never received the panels. Transportation is not easy for us right now so I decided we'd go the next weekend and left a VM that the lab never got the entire order. There obviously was a clear miscommunication since I had a UTI 2 years ago and received treatment, my PT just wanted to verify it had cleared up 100%. The next email I got was: "After discussing the situation in detail with Dr. Eastman, she has determined that it would be best if you sought healthcare elsewhere. Dr. Eastman recommends either team or practitioner care at Bastyr Center for Natural Health, any of the physicians at Emerald City Naturopathic Clinic, or ZoomCare or another urgent care clinic. If you suspect you have a UTI, Dr. Eastman urges you to get a urinalysis completed and any needed treatment initiated immediately. She provided this opportunity to you within hours of receiving your call last Friday - saying that you suspected a UTI - by adding a lab requisition for urinalysis at Labcorp. Your lack of follow through thwarted her effort to provide you with medically necessary, timely care. Complications of an untreated UTI are potentially extensive and severe. Your appointment with Dr. Eastman on March 11th has been cancelled. We apologize that your communication with our clinic has been difficult for you." After inquiring about actually talking with Dr Eastman to clear up any clear misunderstandings Emily over the phone "My apologies for not getting back to you yesterday, I really don't know where the difficulty in communication came from but would at this point appreciate speaking to Dr. Eastman directly about this miscommunication. Since I'm in school full time and working full time, I suspect giving me available time to call her is probably best so we don't play phone tag. However, if she prefers the opposite I am free before 8:45 am and had a cancellation so i'll be free from 3:30-5 pm for tomorrow. I will be awaiting patiently so we can clear this up. Thanks for your assistance and I look forward to hearing a time from you or from Dr Eastman (Walton) soon!" I got this response: "Dr. Eastman has asked me to convey to you that she is extremely busy taking care of her current patients and her family. She is not able to discuss these issues with you, nor is she compelled to do so. Again, she urges you to take care of your acute medical needs extends her best wishes for your ongoing medical care." I cannot under good conscience continue to refer any of my clients, friends or family to this practice. Since Dr. Walton-Eastman is clearly no longer able to give care & provide new patients or patients transferring from other ND's I'd suggest you find a provider a bit more compassionate and understanding. Or just willing to take 5 minutes to clear up a HUGE misunderstanding that could have just been avoided.

AVOID UW NORTHWEST HOSPITAL!…read more They do NOT have Patience Relations staff- no one will follow up on any issues you may have! THEY ARE UNDERSTAFFED AND RUSH CASES- MISTAKES WILL BE MADE AND PATIENTS WILL PAY THE PRICE When cases are delayed 5 or 6 hours this is a safety concern, and a disrespect of patients time and medical situation. My first procedure, arrived on time and NPO as they wanted. Sat in the pre surgery unit- waited for 6 HOURS past my start time! No RN ever thought to ask or check on me as to why I was STILL waiting. I was told I couldn't walk around the unit to pass the time- "we need privacy for the other patients". OK, so the 4-5 family members of other patients (some children) that are sitting and walking around the unit are respecting the privacy of the other patients? My surgeon is amazing, she came out to apologize about the delay. The nurses sat at the nurse station, complaining about their hours, the load of patients, and their personal problems. My second procedure was done this year at UW Northwest Hospital. My procedure was 5.5 hours delayed. I had to ask my RN to check on what was happening. Again, like the other procedure, I guess I was just forgotten. No one from the surgical team bothered to call down and give any info on the delay. My surgeon was busy playing catch up they switched my surgeon. He didn't come by before to introduce himself or give the plan, and he never stopped by after the procedure to tell me how the case went, or any after care. I meet the anesthesiologist in the OR- this is not correct procedure. They are supposed to meet and talk with you before you leave pre-op. He got my name wrong, seemed confused about that. I told him I was stressed (for reasons I am sure he couldn't understand)and wanted to be given medication for this. He said, "we have limits". I was aware during my procedure- the anesthesiologist failed to give me the appropriate dosage of anesthesia. I remember them puncturing the artery, all the blood loss, and the efforts to stop the blood loss. I'll never forget it. When it was finally ok to leave after surgery (4 hours later), I was getting dressed, got out of bed and saw my body. I was sitting in a large puddle of blood! I also had sensors, tape and other surgical leftovers on my arms and legs! I thought I was ok to get dressed, but after getting my pants on, noticed they were wet. My pants were wet with blood, the artery puncture was still bleeding! so now my pants were wet with blood! I wait the next day to hear from someone, like the surgeon- nothing. I called the next day to ask if someone from the surgical team could give me a call. A full 24 hours after my surgery, after two phone calls to the clinic, I FINALLY got a call from the medical assistant. He gives me info like, " everything went great" What does great mean? He actually told me to look in Mychart and look up image notes for details!

Dr. Cahn saw me sitting in the waiting room and insisted I sit with him. In fact, I found myself spewing all that was going - for over 45 mins. I left that day with some referrals, potential answers, a link to an article and a feeling that I may just figure out what is going on. Dr Cahn's priority is his patients. He's got the kind of heart that you can only hope for in a family doc. And his PA and NP - the same. Both are incredible. His staff, family, even Lucy (the amazingly gentle and therapeutic office golden doodle) make an appt with him a welcomed visit to get better. I couldn't say enough about the best doctor I've ever had.

I was…read moreexplicitly advised by their customer service liaison, Kim, that if I want to avoid surprise billing in the future, I should route prescription refills through the pharmacy and essentially avoid interacting with my provider. This was especially troubling given that I was not prescribed refills sufficient to last the year. This advice came only after I received an unexpected bill following a preventive/wellness visit. During the appointment, I briefly mentioned ongoing conditions as part of my medical history and asked routine questions about prescriptions I already take. At no point was I told that reviewing my medical history would convert my preventive visit into a separately billable office visit. I was ultimately charged for both a preventive new-patient visit and an additional established-patient visit for the same appointment. When I contacted billing, I was repeatedly told the coding was "accurate," and that it did not matter that I was never informed or given the opportunity to consent to a separate visit. I was also told that preventive visits are essentially "cookie-cutter," and that discussing things like labs or existing conditions is not covered. I was never informed during the visit that mentioning my health needs would result in extra charges, nor was I given the option to schedule a separate appointment. This practice shows little regard for informed consent or care beyond a checkbox wellness exam. Patients should not have to guess what will trigger unexpected costs--or be told to limit communication with their provider to avoid being billed. Transparency matters in healthcare, and I hope this practice significantly improves how it communicates billing expectations so patients can make informed decisions.

Great doctors (and I'm really, really picky about doctors). The front desk people are usually awesome and very on top of things. Today something got messed up and I was skipped over to be brought back but a nurse saved the day and asked about me, so I was seen about 30-45 minutes later than I should have been. I'm still giving this group 5 stars because they are great doctors.... and the nurse who takes my blood is very cool and funny and distracting so it makes the whole process not so bad. Kids love the fish tank (I see Nemo!) My main doctor is Catherine Smith and she ROCKS!

The physician that I saw here was competent enough, giving me several prescriptions for my sinus infection and a directive to call back if those didn't work over the course of the weekend. There's ample parking. Some spaces are on the north and south of the building, on the street and in a pinch, you can park in the Safeway lot and walk over.

Dr. Salcedo is very knowledgeable in his field and explains everything very well. He also has a…read moresoothing voice that helps make you relax. My worst problem was a vein where the pain would awaken me at night because the pain would not go away. I was very concerned about that and about numbness in my toes. The numbness is gradually going away after treatment and the pain that kept me awake at night on the back of my leg is gone now. I had gone to other doctors in the past that did not seem to understand my complaints so these things had gone untreated in the past, but Dr. Salcedo knew how to treat the issues as well as some other veins that were bothering me. The procedures were pretty much painless...no numbing required. Dr. Salcedo and his staff are so helpful and kind and really listen to you so that they treat what needs to be treated. I would definitely recomment Complete Vein Care!
