Dr Yewande Olasimbo has a very attentive bedside manner and is very personable. She also goes by Dr Wendy for short. Yesterday I came in for my annual wellness blood work. I am also on Medicaire which does not pay for any Preventative lab work. Dr Wendy went above and beyond to find which lab work that Medicaire will cover without a cost to me. I mean she researched my prior lab chart, made phone calls to the head medical provider to make sure there would be no cost to me. Now last year I saw a different Physician for the same annual wellness lab work. I also told that physician I had Medicaire; in which she told me all would be covered. To my surprise Medicaire did not cover any cost; inwhich I was billed $893 that I had to pay out of pocket. I was sooo upset! Dr Yewende Olasimbo gave me the confidence and reassurance that she is not just about her job, but has a genuine interest in her patients (which I find rare in most Dr's I have encountered. Dr. Patel consistently takes a holistic and attentive approach to my care, ensuring all my questions are answered and all my conditions closely monitored. Over the years, he has managed a range of my health needs--from routine blood work and cholesterol tracking to vitamin D deficiencies and prescription renewals. He keeps a close eye on everything from my uric acid levels (helpful for managing gout) to monitoring my PSA levels and A1c for diabetes risk. His ability to explain lab results and trends in a clear, understandable way has been invaluable to me. What I appreciate most is his proactive communication and how seamlessly prescription renewals and lab requests are handled. Even when a medication required a renewal or follow-up, his office facilitated it quickly without hassle. The prescriptions he manages, including blood pressure meds, anti-inflammatories, and vitamins, have always been monitored for effectiveness and safety. Dr. Patel is not only highly knowledgeable but also demonstrates a genuine care for his patients' long-term health. I feel confident and well-supported under his care and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a reliable and detail-oriented physician in the Columbia area. -- Tyrone T., Reisterstown, MD
