I messaged through the FB page giving pictures of what I had in mind & also a picture of current style. I was set up with Amanda. The morning of they called & asked if I wanted to come earlier since there was a cancellation. My haircut took 1 1/2 hours- which is really long. But so was my hair, my hair was so damaged from coloring & not reacting to the harder water here that it was a tangled mess. Amanda took her time with my unruly CURLY hair making sure the cut was perfect. She even dried it straight to check the cut. Few know how to cut curly hair. You can just wack it off. Once dry it will shrink several inches higher. Time for color. We discussed the color & she attempted to make sure the 2 colors would blend & look well for my curls. We colored all over to my natural root color then "high lighted" with a dark red. After All was done the red wasn't showing that much. So I let myself get used to the cut & color over the weekend. Went back in order to address the lack of red, she put plenty of red in my hair and it looked fabulous until I washed it the following day when most of it came out. the lasting result was a pinkish color. She offered to fix again at no cost, but I decided just to color it all brown and leave it for a while. We will figure out a new way to get the red to stay at a later time. Amanda was fabulous and willing to go above and beyond to make me satisfied. Red is a very difficult color to deal with and I understand this. unfortunately my hair doesn't want to cooperate. I will return and recommend Meraki, they are a great bunch of women who genuinely care about your hair.

I've spent the last two days in a complete NIGHTMARE…read more I went to Meraki Hair Studio and had my hair done by Kameron. I went in with super blonde hair and about a 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch of level 6 regrowth. I simply asked her to melt my natural root into the blonde and throw a few lowlights so I could deal with a lot less maintenance for the next few months. (Also to do the same to my extensions) She quoted me $400-$450 for everything, including re-installing my extensions. I showed her a photo that I had chatgpt generate for inspo. I explained to her that I fully understood that the photo was AI and that I might not leave looking exactly like the photo- however, I did let her know that I still wanted to be BLONDE and I did not want ashy/cool tones. Ultimately, I left hysterically crying. I'll attach photos of everything. She charged me $125, I tipped 20%, because she had offered to "fix" it later in the week. Basically I was so full of emotion, I agreed and went home devastated. Once I got home and stopped crying and really took a look at my hair, I decided I didn't want her to touch it again at all. The result I was left with was MILES from what I requested and honestly I just didn't have faith that she could fix what she had done. I texted her and let her know I just wanted to see about a refund and she let me know only her boss had that authority. She also offered to re-order my extensions (i declined because at that point I wasn't even sure what hair color I'd end up with so trying to match extensions would be another nightmare) Fast forward to today, I speak with the manager and she pretty much tells me that a refund will not be issued because she charged me for the color that was used. I had to have a full on color correction done with another salon to barely fix the mess she made. It was over $600. Not to mention, they still weren't able to remove all the dark color she had put on my hair without damaging it beyond repair. I'm typically not someone to blast a stylist on social media.. but these photos speak for themselves. I just don't want this to happen to someone else.

My hair is super fine and finicky and it breaks easily so it's important that not too much gets cut off because it takes forever to grow back. The stylist listened to what I wanted and actually asked questions to verify she understood. On top of that, the conditioning treatment she used is AMAZING. So far, even after a few washes, my fine hair feels so soft and it's not weighed down at all. I will forever only go to Aveda salons from now on.

A few times back we told you we do not like that but I'm sure you just forgot. She just went through a low iron and a lot of hair loss from it and you used thinning shears everywhere. Her ponytail is very thin now. The cut is pretty but the sides need adjustment. Her curtain bangs are not where she asked but it's ok. You are a very good stylist, but the only thing I can imagine was you not feeling well and was in a rush. Or you used new combs and different detangling conditioner. Please do not frown upon us for being upset. We want to return to your salon and you may not want us as your client because you fear we will be upset but I know there is no other person that has ever given my family such beautiful haircuts before. I do not want to lose that over one bad experience." She did not apologize and said we can come back and she would check her work. She said no one told her not to use thinning shears but she never asked and my 20 year old daughter was there. She never asked. Her hair was 60% thinner to the point my daughter was extremely upset. And the sides were choppy on one side and good on other. She made me an appointment for 6 months from the date. We chose not to get anything fixed and just wait the 6 months. That's ok, it was a lot of complaining, we were upset. But why give us an appointment and cancel last minute? So if you like that kind of stuff go see her. Also I mentioned her possibly not feeling well because before this cut she rescheduled on us three times. My daughter was nervous at first, but when she was done with the cut and style my daughter looked up and said "I love it" Katelyn worked on my hair and she was awesome. I brought in a picture of how i hoped my hair would look (with the understanding that everyone's hair is different so it may not be exact) She understood that I was nervous about cutting and coloring my hair because of previous issues I've had at other salons. She showed me how much she was cutting to make sure it was ok and made sure I liked the amount of color she was putting in my hair and after she finished (in a great time-normally my long thick hair takes a few hours+, but she did it in 2) I was very happy with the results!
