Oh, bummer to do this but hafta down my score for this place on account on several inconveniences:…read more 1- You can only book one tent per site at 30$ a night ...u are allowed a 2nd tent on some sites...but hafta pay a whole extra 30$ for it. 2- They charge park access fees (10$/ adult PER DAY) ON TOP of the camping fees (ex: 2 adults for 2 nights of camping plus 3 days access fees = 120$!!! That's unforgivably expensive considering our Ontarian neighbours don't pull this sh*t). 3- You cannot fish off any site or dock or beach...fishing only allowed via boat. So add a boat rental of 30$ for the cheapest for 1 day to ur costs...at this point ur a third of the way to Cuba ... Other than that my previous review still applies: Oh YAY!! What a treat to find such an almost perfect campground so close to home, Québec represent no less: And dog friendly!!!!! Location: Up north in the mountains in the Laurentians just south of Tremblant. Campsites: Such variety!! Fairly private even if u can see ur neighbors. Something for everyone I guarantee it. Rustik camping, trailer camping with services, canoe camping (which include the canoe to get to ur site), treehouses (which include the wheelbarrows to trek ur stuff there), they've got it covered!! We stayed at Bourdon #10 and it was huge (photos)!!! Beautiful view and access to Lac Bonnet (the tinier lake in this park). In fact any of the Bourdon sites were totally nice (site #8 less so because of the layout and #9 less so because of the angle). Bourdon 10 has 2 firepits one of which is right next to the water (which we didn't use because of the wind). It also has a sweet platform of dirt bordered by rocks to pitch ur tent so ur not on an angle. Scenery: This huge awesome campground is surrounded (literally) by many lakes, mountains and gorgeous typical Québec forestry with the largest variety of wild mushrooms you've likely seen anywhere! Weather: Mountain weather, colder and switches quickly to pouring rain. Bring warm gear and lots of water proof stuff, put up a rain shelter stat. Commodities/Accommodations: - DOGS ALLOWED! I do believe there's some petty 2$ charge or sumthin for bringing ur pooch, but it's worth it! Dogs are even welcome on all the hiking trails here!! - Store is also the entrance kiosk with everything you could possibly want: including coffee via Keurig machine! (See photo) All overpriced for what it is but convenient none the less. - Outhouse/ Vault bathrooms as well as full running water/flushing bathrooms; showers; laundry facilities; only ONE area to get drinking water from though and that's all the way at the Pavillion (See photos) - recycling at limited spots, garbage a bit more accessible near each loop: they're the things that look like chicken coops. Prices: see the photos, but also of note they do charge u not only for ur night of camping but also access to the park...so price is pretty expensive per night when u add 2 adults access plus a night of camping, but it's worth it- take advantage of the trails and you'll see what I mean. - Keurig coffees 2$ each for small coffees....but decent and much appreciated! - ice 2.69, 2.99 (plus tax) for cubes or block respectively - wood 10$ per bundle (tax included) crappy wet wood, some bundles bigger than others, but at least 1 bundle per night u stay is included in ur initial costs... We went through 3 bundles in one night and couldn't have a fire the other night cuz of rain. Activities: - So mannnny hiking trails!!! We only did 2 this time (the Sentier des Hêtres which at somepoint u become a walking mosquito buffet and the Panoramique which is quite the work out, soooooo beautiful and worth it, less mosquitos, but still spray!) - Many lakes to fish in (though neither us, nor anyone else we saw fishing in Lac Bonnet caught anything at all over 48 hours of fishing at all different times of day and depths of lake) - Boats to rent for super reasonable prices (photo) - Educational workshops at the Pavillion - A small beach/swimming area, volleyball court, kids parks ...u name it they got it. Wildlife: Saw a bald eagle fly by, plenty of tiny other birds, plenty of small bats in the evening, saw a couple little toads. There was soooooo mannnnnnyyyyy mosquitos, not so much at the camp sites but swarms in some parts of the trails: bring bug spray and use generously!! Otherwise though fairly good bug wise, a few annoying bees but nothing a couple swats can't fend off. (Saw a weasle 2018!) Overall we friggen loved this place so much, will definitely be regulars here and are so happy we discovered this huge secret! I'm sharing it with u all but don't muck it up!! AC for us Americans lol kept it cold inside . Basic cable .. one log is provided and extra firewood is available.. Great place ... great time in the laurentides ... merci for everything

Need a weekend away from the city? Want to be surrounded by nothing but peace and nature?…read more Domaine Ste Agathe is absolutely where you need to go. I forget how many times we've stayed there - 8 or 9, I think. We've gone alone and also have brought our friends up. We try to rent a different house every time. Although all of the Swiss style homes are similar, each one has it's own charm (one is right at the top of a mountain, one has a second fireplace at the indoor pool, one has an amazing spa/pool on the deck, etc). They allow you to bring your dogs for a very small fee of $10 per night which is perfect for us, we bring our two Chihuahuas everywhere. Choose between having a hot tub or a pool.....or you can have both. Choose between 1 bedroom all the way up to 6 bedrooms. They have about 30 different fully equipped homes that will absolutely make you happy, whatever you're looking for. The family that runs it is absolutely lovely and so helpful. We'll be back!

We got lucky - if it wasn't for the cancellation a week before we wouldn't have had the chance to discover these great Chalets! Parking is easy! Each chalet has its own spot. Our parking spot was plowed and the walkways were shoveled. We had no issue getting our key using the code box by the front door, very cool concept! The chalet itself was warm, inviting, cozy, very clean, and the kitchen is MORE than fully equipped. I loved the towel swans; such a classy touch! The private jacuzzi inside the sheltered gazebo was super clean and simply awesome. The chalets were easy to find and the location was so quiet and tranquil. Beautiful lake view. Cool Thing #1: They have a book exchange! There are random books on a shelf. If you start to read one and enjoy it while you're there, you can take it with you when you leave the chalet; they just ask that you leave another one behind if you do. I also found a Sudoku game book by the front door! Cool Thing #2: There is a comment book that they leave on the kitchen table. Many guests have written great things in the book and it was really nice to read about their experiences at the chalet! So many positive comments. We wrote a little something in the book too, it was too much fun! We left COMPLETELY relaxed and very pleased. My Husband is not easily pleased and he was very, very happy with everything. My only two suggestions would be to provide a few extra garbage bags (especially for guests who are staying longer than one night like we did) and a few extra tea towels for dish drying would be helpful too. 100% Return-Worthy since we are already talking about our next visit. Of the places we stayed on our trip along the Petit Trail Du Nord, this was our least favorite…read more Although the rooms were nice and very comfortable, we found the staff to be unfriendly and the food at the B&B outrageously expensive. When we rode in with our family after biking, the staff were not very welcoming and, in fact, made us feel like we were imposing on them. As very low maintenance travelers, we found it odd that this vibe was given off and we found it uncomfortable. Hard to exactly say what it was, but we found that we always felt that we were doing something wrong...not a fond feeling when traveling! The food was also unreasonably expensive. $22.00 pp for breakfast! No thanks!

The inn is about 1 km SE of the center of Val-David on Lac Dore, a small, quiet lake (no power boats). The inn has a private swim beach, dock, and platform. The inn is easily accessible from the rail trail, though not obvious. We arrived in the afternoon and were given rooms in an annex building across a quiet street. Our rooms had therapeutic baths, rather than showers, so we asked to be moved to rooms with showers, and they seemed happy to switch us. Since we were across the street, our rooms did not have a view of the lake, but the rooms were comfortable, air conditioned, and nicely furnished, if somewhat oddly arranged. The beds were very comfortable. We seemed to be the only occupants in the annex, and the doors of the unoccupied rooms were left standing open, so we walked around and looked into some of the rooms. Some of those bedrooms were truly luxurious! But those rooms had the therapeutic baths, not showers. The inn provided secure storage for our bikes in a separate building. It was a fairly hot day for Quebec, so we spent some time swimming in the lake before dinner. Just lovely. Kayaks and paddleboards were also available at the beach. Dinner was outstanding, and the service was excellent. The tables look out over the lake, a lovely setting. Apparently, breakfast is normally served starting at 9 am, but we asked if we could have breakfast at 8 am, to get an earlier start biking. Again, the staff seemed happy to accommodate us, and we were served breakfast at 8 am. Breakfast was also excellent. Definitely staying here again next time we are in the area. Note: All of the rooms at this inn are apparently different. The majority of the rooms seem to have therapeutic baths, not showers, so if you require a shower, make sure that you reserve a room that has a shower. The Auberge Sauvignon is an excellent place, excellent located, and with beautiful surroundings. The accommodations are simple but reliable, clean, and functional. My room was clean and comfortable, the showers worked well, and I had a space heater which did its job very well even during a weekend with a decent snowfall and temperatures that got down to 5 degrees F. The auberge enjoys two (I think? One seemed to be further away from the deck) outdoor jacuzzis/spas that were thankfully well maintained and cleaned. The staff are also immensely polite, and check-in and check-out is very flexible so long as you're able to sign your paperwork at some time during your stay, due to only needing a code for the keypads. There is a shuttle service for the ski village that I did not get the chance to take advantage of, but I did take note as something else that really enhances the bang-for-buck factor - this is on top of the Sauvignon being right by one of the free bus stops that cover the whole MT area. The included breakfast is some very basic self-serve with shrink-wrapped pastries and a selection of drinks. Very bare bones, but free and included Though I really sat down to ponder what might bump down my experience with the Sauvignon to even 4 stars, I cannot find anything truly worth that. Two small comments: signs indicated that towels would be available by the back door of the auberge for use of the spa, but these were either not available or not readily visible. Furthermore, the bedsheets seemed to have a lot of specks of fluff on them, giving them the appearance of being unclean - though further inspection satisfied me that it was just dryer lint. The front desk clerk was friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was quiet during my stay. The AC and mini-fridge worked very well. The TV has limited channels, no in-room coffee maker, no breakfast available and limited outlets for your electronics. Free WiFi available. The shower amenities were limited to a shampoo, conditioner, body wash combo. Water pressure was average at best and it took forever to get warm - not hot, just warm. Should I return to bike the trail again, I would probably look to book a room closer to the trail and the restaurants.

The hospitality was incredibly warm, from the receptionist to grounds crew, everyone approached you with a smile. We loved the location and the dog friendly atmosphere. Accommodations were incredibly clean, to the point where we felt we were the first to stay here. Close proximity to Mount Tremblant allowed us a nice evening out. Contenential Breakfast with fresh bread, homemade jam, marmalade and locally sourced maple syrup made for a delicious snack.
