Good value for $6.50 NZD, coffee and cappuccino were solid. Lots of delicious offerings in the case and a few savory options as well like lasagna, blue cheese and bacon croissants. The place is full of locals meeting up for coffee and sweets. Good vibe, good wifi (you have to ask for the code) only downfall is that the bathrooms are in the back and you have to go outside to get to them. What we were treated to was a dining experience that exceeded almost all other dining experiences we have had in New Zealand. The atmosphere, food and service was sublime to a point of astonishment. From the warm fire, to the wonderful horses who attended to us, we were left in a state of pure bliss after the last morsel was savored and the plates were cleared away. In the three years I have lived in New Zealand there hasn't been a single fine dining establishment in Auckland that has left me feeling as happy and satisfied as this little restaurant has. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem that I would recommend to any one who appreciates good food and good people. However, we were walking from our motel one morning, searching desperately for any open place to get a vanilla flat white. Then, we stumbled on this little place, a coffee cart hidden inside a surf/yoga shop. The employees were really nice and the coffee was fantastic. It was one of the best I've had in a while, and unexpected from this unassuming little place. We would have come back every morning, but they were closed the next 2 mornings (and then we left New Plymouth). It's definitely worth finding this little place for a great takeaway coffee.
