Suffolk library is a decent library with approximately 8-10 computers with internet access. As with all libraries, you have to be a member to use the facilities, but joining is very straightforward, requiring ID and proof of your address.
Public libraries are pretty poorly funded, so they don't have a huge amount of books. They rely a lot on donations, so I wouldn't be too expectant of finding every book you're ever going to want to read. They provide a good service though (albeit a limited one), and most libraries have a small selection of DVDs that you can borrow off them as well.
If you're going to Suffolk library, be sure to check the noticeboards for the times of any classes that may be on. There's a mother and toddler group held in here at different times of the year, and while that's great for mothers and toddlers, it's not so great if you're sitting there trying to get something done and you're being repeatedly reminded that in fact, yes, the wheels on the bus do go round and round. Round and round... not quite all day long, but for an hour or so anyway.
But hey, it's good to see that groups like this have somewhere to go, so you just need to plan a bit before you go here for a bit of quiet reading or research. read more
