People who live in Lisburn are lucky to have such a big, bright, spacious library in their own town. I've used it a couple of times for research of my own and was really impressed by the standard of service. There is a separate children's library section, ample book selection, lots of desk space to work at and sofas if you want to be more relaxed.
I was particularly interested in the historical section and found a lot of what I needed, though because all the Northern Ireland libraries have a centralised catalogue there is a good chance of getting anything you need from other branches.
There is a cafe on site as well - the Streat, in fact, which is adequate anyway and useful if you have to make an day of it, certainly no onerous task in LIsburn library anyway. read more
