Never again - used them often and today's freezing weather I was supposed to get a delivery I…read moreordered last Thursday. I called them and was on hold 45 mins each time and told they would be there in an hour on the first call at 9:30am - the second call at 1:30pm I am told they will not make it today - what a joke

I would give this company zero stars if that were an option. We had an oil delivery this morning,…read moreand immediately afterward our heating system shut off. Despite this happening right after their delivery, the company refused to take any responsibility. When I spoke with a supervisor, I was told that their representative was "not trained enough" to tell us that if the oil tank is empty, we must specifically request a restart, which costs an additional $75. However, they had no problem clearly explaining that an emergency delivery would cost $200. Because of the extreme cold, we used more oil than usual and didn't realize how low our tank was. I have never run out of oil before, so I had no way of knowing I needed to ask for a restart in advance. Instead of offering any help or solutions, the staff was extremely rude and repeatedly told me to call another plumbing service. As a result, I now have to pay another company to fix the issue. We have children at home and currently have no heat in freezing temperatures. This experience has been unacceptable. I will not be using this company again and will also be filing a complaint with the BBB. Please be aware and avoid this company.

I am very upset with this company . Let me start by saying they stole money from me I filled up my…read moretank . With oil When I called to place the order I told them I was paying cash and asked if the driver could have change and they said the driver doesn't have change . I thought this was weird for a driver not to have some change. So Nicole told me they would send me a check for $10. They said it would take 7-10 days . Well it's been over two weeks I called again today and spoke to a supervisor who could not help me at all So I asked can you tell me if the check was sent out . Her reply was I'm sorry I can't look into that . So I said you're a supervisor . She said yes . So I said there is nothing you can do. She said no . So then I said I guess I will be taking my business elsewhere . Then I also said I would be contacting the district attorney's office She didn't seem concerned at all. I am very disappointed on how they are handling this situation . I would say if you need fuel This is not the company for you . If you want them to steal your money than this is the company for you.. I am reporting this company to Suffolk county district attorneys office .and the better business bureau

"Baby it's cold outside." (Thank you Frank Loesser for writing such a wonderful song.) When there…read moreis snow outside you want heat inside. And that, my friends, requires oil to run many a boiler. AM Fuel Oil Company offers wonderful customer service. Our family rang this frigid morning as - oops - we forgot to check the oil level in the basement reader. Zoom zoom zip! Lick-ity split Jimmy scheduled us in. Promptly at 1pm his pleasant smile greeted us behind frosty windows. (Dude. I was Popsicle level cold.) Having never looked at a boiler or the associated oil tank I asked for a lesson. Yes. Anyhoo, a lesson was provided. The fuel gauge was cleaned. And poor Jimmy returned to the outside cold to add oil. Blessedly Jimmy was patient with my ignorance. He skipped down to the basement and restarted our boiler. (It is my parent's. I just lived here for ~twenty years during formative years.) Jimmy pumped the air out of the boiler - explaining this in simpleton terms - without making me feel the fool I am. AM Fuel Oil Co. also offers on demand service visits. If you're out of town and need them to help with the Moms & Pops - they'll do it! Good people.

The morning of our appointment, I was called and whoever I spoke to at the time stated they had a bunch of emergencies that day and could not make it. I stated that I wanted to start a contract with him, I was told since my family has been using them for years that the first year our contract would of been complimentary and not to worry about someone coming out, that if we had a problem to just call him. NOTHING was stated that we had to sign up for auto deliveries. Now that we had a leak with our boiler, I am being told we have no contract. Very unprofessional.
