I was a little dubious given the state of her house and yard, both of which were in a high state of neglect. But I was desperate for that weekend, so I dropped them off on Friday. The weekend turned rainy, so I let Sarah know on Saturday evening that I was returning early and the dogs would not be staying over on Sunday nite. I arrived home on Sunday at 11am and called to pick them up. Sarah informed me that she would be home at 3pm and I could get them then. Later, she asked for 3:15. When I arrived at 3:30 ish, she was just getting home. Obviously, she was not home most of the day Sunday to care for the dogs, which is what she was being paid for. She later sent me a bill for the whole 3 overnights amount, $300. When I called her to dispute this, she claimed that I hadn't given 24 hour notice, which I had. But she also became very argumentative. I told her she could have $300 with a review or $250 without one. She did not respond to this and a couple of weeks later, after not hearing from her, I tried to pay her through her website. The website was not working, so I sent her cash through PayPal. I added a note that I was paying this way because her website wasn't working. I still did not hear back from her so I eventually called PayPal to be sure she had received the money, which she had. A couple of weeks later, I received my AMEX bill and saw that she had already billed AMEX for the full amount. And she took the PayPay money as well. Responsible? NO. Flexible? NO Honest? NO I would never recommend this business nor this caretaker. I would worry about her house falling apart and no one being home with the dogs. And I had to block her from calling or texting me. Buyer beware.

He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, he only knows how to play, and is brought up in a very good, loving household. We were told that he growls at the help there, and he is too energetic that he jumps the fences there. For the amount of virtue signaling they spew all over their social media about knowing how to "actually" love their pets, through the "proper" training, is quite laughable. We were told that our 7 month old GOLDENDOODLE PUPPY, cannot return there, because they are afraid for their safety. Listen, if you don't want to do the job, then find another business. Poor poor management. Never would I recommend them. We even added a "Birthday" add on for our newly turned 5 year old. Guess we can wish in one hand and s#*t in the other to see which one fills up first. No "Birthday" celebration for her...

They were recommended to us by a friend who had nothing but positive things to say about Dog Talk as well as Mike and Theresa. Well....2023 and we have rescued 3 additional dogs, a lab/pit mix, a pit/shepherd mix who are both 1 years old and just recently added an american bulldog/pit/hound mix who's only 12 weeks (can't wait for her to be old enough and vaccinated to attend daycare). We recently switched to the Fort Washington location only because it is more convenient for me, on my way to work, but we still go back to Blue Bell every once in a while because I know the pups miss Mike! Well, we just took our very first vacation in 10 years because we always put it off knowing we didn't have anyone we trusted with our fur babies. Well, not anymore!! The three oldest pups were boarded at Dog Talk at the Fort Washington location and LOVED it so much and so did mom and dad. Knowing they were well cared for and loved during their time spent with Theresa. Theresa even put up with my crazy dog mom check-ins throughout the week. They even thrived while being boarded learning a few new things and now listen even a little better than before. Cage-free boarding (or you can bring your cage if that's what your dog's prefer, like ours). Set schedule of feeding to keep on track with the home schedules and play, play, play! There is so much engagement for the dogs at daycare from bubbles to water play to rest to playing chase with other dogs. I always appreciate Mike and Theresa and their knowledge of dogs and how to train them, but really we're the ones needing and being trained. I have picked both Mike and Theresa's brain on a multitude of items relating to my dogs and their recommendation/advice has always been spot on! Theresa and Mike are always so responsive and have nothing but the best interests of the dogs in mind 24/7. It is hands-down a blessing we found Dog Talk; I will not take my puppies anywhere else. I can't wait for next year, it was so nice to not have to worry so much while away, we've already booked our trip for next year! The D'Amico four will be there all week next July! Thank you Mike and Theresa for all you do.

The Puppy Butler came through and eased our fears of leaving our pup, Brody, in someone else's care when we were out of town. They are professional, respectful, kind, and clearly have a compassion for animals. Their price is also great after doing some of the others I was considering sending Brody. They sent us enjoyable pictures and videos of our dog, daily, making it easier for us to relax while on vacation. Brody was happy and worn out from being able to run in The Puppy Butler's big backyard for days by the time we picked him up. Yes - leaving an animal behind while away can be hard. But I highly, highly recommend The Puppy Butler if you're in need. We'll definitely be using them again.

Jim met the challenge without a complaint. He gave us updates daily, whether photos or videos. Every step of the way, he kept us in the loop. My husband had a tough time leaving the cats, but knowing they were in great hands with Jim allowed him to enjoy our trip. He even took on our package and turbed our tv off for us, which is obviously outside of his duties. He gets a 5/5 from us and we already have him booked for our next trip in November. Thanks, Jim!

However, I sent the email below to the…read moreowner in December about an incident that happened in September... 6 months later, here we are with still no response from the owner, no apologies, nothing. Hi Jack, I just wanted to make you aware of a situation that happened during the labor day holiday involving one of my dogs. He was attacked by another dog and the bite was so deep it got infected and required stitches. He also had multiple bite marks on his neck and ears. The incident happened on Saturday but we were not made aware of the situation until we picked him up on Monday. This means he went almost 3 days without veterinary care which is why it got so infected. While we don't blame the sitter for what happened, the owner of the dog who attacked has not come forward to help us with the vet bill like he told the sitter he would. We honestly didn't care if he could only assist with $20 towards the bill, at least it would show he cared. I didn't ask the name of the dog or the owner but I hope that you will do your due diligence to make sure this doesn't happen again to another dog. I am forwarding you our two email communications with the sitter. The initial visit was what we sent but there were multiple follow up visits in order to change the dressing and get him on more anti-biotics. We have also been texting the sitter to get this resolved but it's not going anywhere. She offered to help with the vet bill herself but this is not what we want, we want the other owner to be held accountable and our initial hope was that he would be a responsible pet owner and help us with the bill. As that has failed I am writing you to make sure this doesn't happen again by that same dog to another poor innocent dog.

I had called about a week and a half ago to schedule vaccinations and a yearly exam for a dog we have not brought to this veterinarian before. I specifically asked about a 3 year rabies vaccination, Bordetella vaccination, and DPP (distemper, parvo, parainfluenza) vaccination and no additional services. The staff member was very polite and helpful getting an appointment booked, however did not notate the vaccination request, so when my girlfriend brought my dog in she was offered every opportunity to add services to the invoice despite the previous conversation between myself and staff while making the appointment. They recommended to my girlfriend a "Lyme Vaccination Package" which is a Lyme vaccine with a booster two weeks later. This is despite the fact that my dog receives flea and tick preventative (I am aware this is not the same as a vaccine) and was not discussed while making the appointment booking. This was $105.00 They recommended a Lyme, heart worm and Ehrlichia canis blood draw. This was $77.00 They also recommended a fecal sample for Giardia despite my dog having no symptoms. This was $71.00 Fecal samples are also normally included as part of annual dog exams, which was $90 at Montgomery Animal Hospital. I understand some of these may be considered routine for regular clients, but we have never been to this vet before, and I did not ask for any of these while I made the appointment. They should not have been offered to my girlfriend even if she was acting as my agent at the appointment. Again I appreciate the staff being professional and courteous throughout every interaction, and I do not think they could be nicer people, however I am very disappointed with the breakdown of communication between the appointment booking and the time of the service.
