We have been taking our two dogs here now for about the past two years for grooming services. The…read moreowner does the grooming and does a fantastic job taking care of our grooming needs for our Peek-a-Poo and our Bernadoodle. In addition, we have used this place to board our Bernadoodle when we go on summer vacations and take out-of-town trips. The place is always clean and she requires copies of your shot records to make sure your pooch's shots are up-to-date. On one occasion when we picked him up, the owner said she had to throw away his dog bed because he made a mess of it. While I didn't ask, I just assumed he probably tore it up by chewing on it. On our most recent visit just a few weeks ago, she had to throw away the pillow that we left however she did wash the blanket we brought with him because he soiled it. The prices are great and the staff is friendly. Plus, my dog never seems anxious, distraught or unwilling to go with the staff when we drop him off which tells me he is being treated right. We will continue to use their services in the future.

Everything about this seems perfect. I went to tour the facility and was happy with the overall cleanliness and the fact that they separate the small dogs from the larger dogs. Our 2 dogs were able to be kept in the same kennel which was perfect bc our older dog gets a little anxiety when he's alone. We dropped them off on Thursday afternoon and picked them up Monday morning. When we got there our dogs bedding was saturated in urine, water, wet dog food, and possibly feces. Due to the uncleanliness of their bedding after only 4 days, we won't be sending them back when we go on vacation for a week in September. I was pretty disappointed in this since these are by far the best prices around the Youngstown area but I guess you get what you pay for.

When I went to ask for our order the girl working the register got very huffy and said she'd have to get the iPad to find it. The girl on Reg 2 piped up that she'd take care of her line then help. I was like "no, I've waited in line and don't want to wait longer" (there was nobody behind me) my cashier then whines that someone will have to come do it because "I can't leave the register" she proceeds to call a manager then decided "well there's nobody in line I guess I can help - I hate these things because they take so long to log in" I told her that's not my problem but it was her job. Her manager got there and handled the transaction. It was an employee I recognized and she recognized me - and apologized for her associates behavior. Sadly the harm had already been done and I will do my best to shop elsewhere and just use Pat and Nina from now on.

Not many places groom cats...at least, not in this area. But NPS does. And they do an outstanding…read morejob! I bring my cat here 2-3 times a year, since she has really long fur.. I have her bathed and clipped. NPS does a great job with her. And I've always been very happy with the results. NPS is friendly and reasonably priced. Also, they won't try and talk you into something you don't need. Ex...my cat was doing an excessive amount of scratching and biting at herself. I thought she might have fleas, so I told NPS to give her a flea treatment, which would have been an extra charge. No prob. When I went to pick my cat up, NPS told me they didn't see any fleas, so she didn't need the flea treatment. I recently took my cat to the vet for her regular shots, and to check on the scratching. The vet said to me "I don't know where you get her groomed, but they did a really great job." I told the vet NPS! She was impressed because it's hard to find a groomer that will take care of cats, much less have them come out this good. I highly recommend NPS for your pet.

If I could give this place a minus 10 I would - but as it is I have to settle for a "1". We took…read moreour family german shepherd to Steel Valley Spay and Neuter on Wednesday, 8/12/26 for a standard neuter surgery. Long story short - they removed his whole scrotum - he had a very large surgery wound - he ended up getting very infected within two days even after we did everything right for him post surgery. It's now a week later - he's had to have two additional surgeries to try and make right what these people did and to try and save his life. We had to go to an emergency vet for a surgery on Sunday 8/16/26 and another vet to give him an additional surgery yesterday 8/22/26. We are thousands of dollars involved financially to get him healthy and he still is not out of the woods. He has suffered beyond anything you can imagine with what they did to him. When asked WHY did you remove his whole scrotum? they said that it's mentioned in the paperwork that "it could be a possibility" that this could occur (along with several other things that could "happen" during surgery) - but this was not a "must" - this was an elective decision the vet made to remove the entire scrotum because they said he had excessive skin that could cause him complications in the future- he has severe complications NOW from them removing it. We would never have agreed to have that done if they had asked us at the time they decided they were going to do it . By removing the whole scrotum and causing a much bigger poorly done incision, it opened him up for more risk - risk that did not need to be taken. It has turned a typical neuter into a tragic nightmare for our dog. The surgery itself was poorly done and a hack job. We've had professional feedback that it's the worst butcher job they've seen. Also professional feedback suggesting the infection was from the inside such as possibly dirty setting or instruments. In regard to removing the whole scrotum, Steel Valley's office is standing by the "well it was on the paperwork and your son signed it" - Well prior to a surgery there is always paperwork to sign and basically you have to sign it to have the surgery done . I would never step foot in this place again and if you are concerned about the well-being of your pet and their life - the money you save is not worth it - it's the "TEMU OF VETS" and you end up spending thousands to overcome their negligence. The office manager wants to do nothing but blame the patient . I asked for a return of our money and she hung up on me. Read their other reviews and decide for yourself - they have 2 stars .
