Need the phone number for sudden link communications. My tv is out and I think that there is an outage please let me know if there is one.

I wish I had looked at the reviews on Yelp and Consumer reports prior to signing on with Suddenlink. I am sad to say that I am not surprised at the average one star rating. I have been with this company only a couple of weeks and I already regret my decision and want to cancel service. I'm 57 and have moved a great deal, so I am accustomed to dealing with new service providers. Most have truly been exceptionally good. Suddenlink has been exceptionally bad. I cannot recall ever having so much trouble getting in touch with a customer service agent. It's like they don't exist. The local office constantly answers with an "unavailable, leave your number and we'll call you back" message, but so far, no call backs. The number they ask you to call when you first sign up for the service does have a human that answers, but they won't talk to you. They tell you that they handle new service requests only and to call customer service. I was given several different phone numbers to try all of which are automated with no option to speak to a representative. It's an extremely poor way of doing business. Note: They are plenty nice when you're signing up for service, but once a customer, they are silent as the grave. The tech came out and installed my service on Sept. 11 2017 and they billed me on Sept. 12th, due on Sept. 21st. However, the bill did not arrive until after the 21st. I cannot reach anyone to discuss this and ensure I would not be charged a late fee. Also, the tech that installed the service, draped a very long cable across two driveways. The tech did a fine job of installing the service, but did not mention the cable across the driveway, that anyone would come out and bury it...and most importantly, that I would need to call and schedule this service. Even after I called the tech back on his cell phone, he simply stated that they would send someone to bury it- not that I had to call and schedule this service. . After a week with no word from Suddenlink and the cable still unburied; I called and they scheduled the service for Wednesday, Sept. 20th. I was told, because it was a gated community, I would need to be home to let the workers inside. The arrival window was 8am to 5pm. After waiting all day - no one showed and no one called to say why or to reschedule. I called Suddenlink and an automated voice stated that my service was now scheduled for Oct.2. - three weeks after installation. No one called to tell me about this change...explain anything about the delay...or ask if that date was ok. In the meantime, the line, draped across 2 driveways continues to get run over multiple times a day by me and my neighbors and is an inconvenience for the lawn service. I am actually surprised that the line has not been cut. I'm not sure how companies that operate this way manage to stay in business. read more

Absolutely horrendous service and sales tactics. 1) I went online to shop for plans but the website doesn't show you the hidden fees until after you've ordered a plan and there's no way to take off the equipment fees (if you have your own) without calling. Well, every call is a guaranteed 20+ minute wait to do anything. 2) I called to cancel that plan because it wasn't what I ended up needing and I asked what plans they had for internet only. I was told they had a $54/mo plan for 400 mbps so I ordered that one. My dad then sent me a screenshot of the plans on the website (which I was no longer able to view since I'd already ordered a plan) saying that the 400mbps plan was only $44/mo. I also then received an email saying I was still signed up for the plan I'd just called to cancel so I called again to make sure the original plan was actually cancelled and ask about the 400mbps plan. Not only was the second salesman incredibly rude (talking over me and down to me like I didn't know what I was saying) he ALSO tried to sell me the 400mbps plan at $54/mo until I told him his website said differently. He had to put me on hold to "fix" that and get me the $44/mo plan, even though that's what's on the website. 3) I was told my internet would be installed Friday between 11-2pm. No one showed. Called and was on hold for 30+ minutes to be told he'd be there in 30 minutes. No one showed. Called again and was again on hold for 20+ minutes and then told that the technician's supervisor would call me to reschedule. No phone call. Just an email saying there would be someone to install it Tuesday 8-11am. Absolutely no phone call or email to see if I'm even available at that time to be there for the technician to enter the apartment. 4) I used their chat service, figuring it would be less of a wait than a phone call, and was told that he couldn't help me with my scheduling problems and that I'd have to call the sales department. 5) The next morning (Saturday) I call the sales department (was waiting on hold for over an hour!) and was told the earliest available time was indeed Tuesday 8-11am. They couldn't give me the name or direct contact number for the technician or his supervisor or even which location was handling my installation so Tuesday when the technician is late (which I have no doubt he will be) I will have to wait another 30+ minutes on hold to find out where he is. The BEST the sales department guy could do was give my number to the technician so he could call me on his way over, whenever that is. Their practices are shady and untrustworthy and they show zero regard for their customers. It's absolutely shameful. read more

This review is to acknowledge Nina in technical support, in Tyler, TX. I live in a different state, but our technical support people here have poor customer service and technical support skills. Luckily, I was able to speak with Nina in TX and she was knowledgeable, had great customer service skills and answered all of my questions. It would be great if you could train the people in Flagstaff, AZ. Thanks for your help. read more
