I spoke to Darlene on Monday, 8/25 and told her that I will need to talk to the other companies that also quoted. I did and I determined that I wanted to do business with R Fitzgerald. However, I wanted to speak to them again about that 50% down payment. I called 4 times between Tuesday and Thursday. I finally got a call back by who I think was the owner. I didn't have a chance the write his name down. I requested that I only pay the down payment against the materials and not the labor. He said no and said that is how they do business. He said they have been burned in the past when they have ordered special colors because customers have cancelled orders. I had no intention to cancel and to imply that I would, is insulting. I tried to negotiate the down payment further and basically it was their way or no way. He also hung up on me.
