He began going to Master Plus shortly after school began for the 2016/1917 school year. Although he placed well for his Math class, it proved to be more than challenging. They also worked to help me find services and tutors who were within my family's budget. I was also given the opportunity to receive a list with descriptions of possible tutors who matched my son's interests after they took the time to find out about who my son was. The tutor we ultimately selected, Nick T, was AMAZING! He really was skilled at working with my son, recognizing when he made stupid errors and when he truly did not have a grasp of certain concepts. I took a Manhattan Prep class for the GMAT after trying to study on my own. Chris Gentry was my…read moreteacher and he was excellent. Classes were interesting and very interactive. The big thing for me was understanding how the test worked and the class was a huge help with that. I approached the GMAT initially as "I have to answer every question correctly" and Chris helped with adjusting my testing strategy to what I really needed (I'm going to get these types of questions wrong so let's just skip them quickly). The course also provides you with a ton of materials to use for studying. I didn't really like the strategy guide questions, but they were helpful if you really struggle in one area. All in all, I did wonderfully on the official test and saw ~110 point improvement in my score.

I was court ordered to take anger management classes and contacted them for an evaluation. Prior to the evaluation, I was told that 8 classes was standard depending on the results of the evaluation which was $100 just to take. After the evaluation it was said I needed 8 classes. No surprise because she already told me that. However in my head I'm thinking "well what was the evaluation for if you already knew I was going to take 8 classes?" But 8 classes is what is required to get a completion certificate for court. Then the classes are $25 each. So I have to pay to be on probation, pay for the evaluation, pay for the classes, and all while dealing with unemployment due to Covid 19. If I needed 8 classes to complete probation why the extra money for the evaluation? To me it's just another way for them to get money out of people. It may just be $100 but if you get enough people to pay it, it'll add up quick. I'm just doing the classes to complete probation and not have to deal with Atlanta PD or this bs justice system ever again.
