My wife and I travel over 7 hours every time we visit South Jersey Fertility Center . The care,…read morecompassion, and professionalism we've experienced here are unmatched. The entire team treats us with kindness, patience, and genuine respect every step of the way. I want to give a special shout-out to Jodi -- she is an absolute godsend. Her support, empathy, and dedication to her work are truly something special. She's not just great at her job; she's an amazing human being, and we feel incredibly lucky to have her as part of our journey. Thank you to everyone at South Jersey Fertility Center for making such a stressful and emotional process feel a little lighter and filled with hope. You're making a real difference.

I write this first to say, I am not bitter about not achieving the result intended, but the lack of…read morecare or empathy the medical staff exhibits (the non-medical staff, admins, billing, office manager were great) is disheartening and wrong. During the single IVF cycle my husband and I went through (we were unable to produce viable embryos after ICSI), we encountered a medical staff that never instructed us to discontinue one medication they'd prescribed us when starting another, despite being told to continue to take everything instructed unless or until told otherwise, which resulted in a delay and lack of ovary stimulation follicle growth. Upon question, we, the patients, were blamed because we, to quote our original IVF nurse "should have known". We were then assigned a new nurse, who after the first call, never contacted us again. I do not need a dedicated nurse, I understand they work as a team, but if a nurse is not going to be available, and it results in a delay of care or response, then a dedicated person should not be assigned and it handled in a team manner. Then, I was provided, IN WRITING, the dates, times, protocols for egg retrieval, made arrangements with work and family for the time needed to come in for the procedure, I got a random call that the doctor changed his mind and wanted to push the procedure back. No reason given than that he "changed his mind" and I shouldn't have received the confirmations and scheduling at all, and that the nurse did it by "accident". I do not take issue with a change if it was explained that this was medical in nature, but it was well after plans were made and expenses were put out, and there was no accountability as to why the plans went out incorrectly in the first place, when multiple steps had to be taken (scheduling the appointment, creating the instruction list with times and dates reflecting the original scheduled appointment) and zero accountability. The last straw was when we were informed that, unfortunately, none of the embryos made, and were not being sent to the genetic testing lab, since they weren't viable. Disappointing, and at the moment, devastating. The doctor, Dr Van Deerlin, chuckled/giggled at the beginning, even though there was nothing amusing being said, and I said that I would appreciate that he control his laughter, since this was really upsetting news and we didn't find anything to be amused about. He continued the call, and again, later, giggled/chuckled two separate times, even though no jokes were made, nothing lighthearted was being talked about, and I was barely not in tears on the phone. After the third time, I called him out again and asked what was so funny, and was told "nothing, must be a bad connection". I recognize that doctors have to look at things clinically, but laughing at a devastated couple, less than a few hours into awful news being received, and even after being asked to stop, is completely wrong. I was told I could not avoid being under his care, as the doctors work as a team, and if he was the only doctor available during one of the time-sensitive ultrasound appointments, then he was the doctor that day, since, apparently laughter is subjective. South Jersey Fertility STILL has over $4500 of out money, that we had to pre-pay for the embryonic testing and storage, even though we never made it to the testing stage. Stay FAR AWAY if you want any sort of empathy. You are a number there, not a person.

Where do I start on how HORRIBLE this place is. If you are severely struggling with infertility…read morewith an actual diagnosis, do NOT go here. I have low AMH and diminished ovarian reserve. The doctors at RMA over medicated me and under educated. I was not made aware that the chances of me getting pregnant were extremely slim, They did not explain my diagnosis or suggest a solution to me other than to push more meds with higher dosages. After seeing an amazing low Amh specialist around the corner, he told me how much damage higher dose meds does for someone with my diagnosis. I am currently pregnant with twins thanks to Dr. Check at the Cooper institute. I would NEVER recommend RMA! Not only did the doctors at RMA push an egg donor on me repeatedly, RMA over billed me and fouled up our claims so terribly that I had to fight RMA for over 6 months to get my $8,000 back. DO NOT GO HERE!

I've been struggling with fertility for over three years. Before I came to RMA, I went to two other…read morelocal fertility practices. I did not have good experiences and felt that I was not receiving the communication I was looking for. I felt unheard and in the dark throughout the process. After hearing positive things about RMA from a friend, I decided to go for a consult. I met with Dr. Osman who reviewed my history and gave me treatment options while being compassionate and understanding. I left my consult appointment feeling extremely hopeful, which I haven't felt in a long time, and decided to move forward with RMA. Best decision I've made! Dr. Osman suggested IUIs or IVF and gave realistic outcomes for both treatments. She respected our decision when we wanted to do IUIs first. After two failed IUIs, we decided to do IVF. Dr. Osman ended up doing my egg retrieval and embryo transfer. She was so comforting during those times, when I was feeling nervous or scared, which I truly appreciated. What I love about RMA is the communication. You're assigned your own nurse who knows your history and medical background, gives you directions regarding medications, treatment protocols, next steps, etc. My nurse, Tori, is phenomenal! I've talked her so many times and she really helped me throughout this entire process. Tori was always thorough and would make sure I had a good understanding on what was going on or what to expect next. I always found it comforting knowing that I could directly email her or Dr. Osman with any questions I had. They would always quickly respond back to me. I never had direct access to the doctors or a consistent nurse at other fertility practices. This consistent, open communication made my infertility journey so much easier. The entire staff at RMA is fantastic! The ladies at the front desk are always warm and welcoming. The phlebotomists, especially Melissa, are fabulous. Beth was so patient and thorough during our med teach. I always felt comfortable with all the morning monitoring practitioners, Dr. Franasiak and Haley. I have never had a negative interaction with any of the staff at RMA. I highly recommend RMA to anyone going through infertility. The journey itself can be overwhelming and frustrating but going to a compassionate place like RMA definitely makes the journey easier to navigate.

I'm beyond grateful for the opportunity to work with Dr. Jerome Check, and his compassionate,…read morededicated team. I am a new patient ~ traveling from California to continue my IVF journey, after 3 years, 20+ egg retrieval attempts, and 2 failed transfers at another clinic. I have interviewed at least 10 of the top doctors around the country ~ and Dr. Check's reputation is unparalleled for difficult cases. The waitlist for an appointment was well worth it... I finally consulted with Dr. Check just before Thanksgiving, and was so grateful for a glimmer of hope, based on science and his experience. He patiently answered all of my questions, and followed up our call with enough research papers to fill a book, about other women in their 40s he was able to help become pregnant with their own eggs... even DOR cases. While I am just getting started with Cooper Institute, I feel I am in the best hands. His nurses, billing, andrology department... EVERY single member of his team has been kind, helpful and competent, as I begin moving all of my medical records to their office. It's not easy to coordinate logistics as a travel patient, but Cooper Institute has been wonderful every step of the way. I hope to update this review as another *miracle* patient success story... for now, I feel confident that Dr. Check & Co are my best and final chance for getting pregnant with my own eggs. Best of luck to every other woman on this difficult journey...

At Cooper, you are treated like an individual. No one is cookie cutter there. What works for one patient may not work for the next and again because of that we have our son. The cycle I conceived may have been a cancelled cycle at another practice. He is in this business to create families and not cause you to break the bank while doing so. He will guide you to the best option for you. I cannot thank Dr. Check and his team enough for their constant care and patience. They are a family there and you become part of that family.
