In those…read more11+ years I have gone back to school to get my degree, changed careers, gotten laid off twice (once during 2020), found work again in less than two months, and always found something higher-paying and with a better commute every time, as if the layoffs were a hidden gift. I have also nearly tripled my salary since I first saw Amanda and am much more satisfied with my line of work. I am also grateful to have found a new job in my field with a company that is hiring since I'm in a field in which the layoffs are higher right now. If I had never been a client of hers, I expect that I would be still be in a job that I didn't care about, making about half of what I make now, and working it only for the paycheck.
