The third box was EMPTY! The Pizzas totalled $56, we tipped $40 on the false promises we would later discover. Considering we drove 30 min to get there late at night and back, My permasmile faded into bitter jokes of pizza robbery. The manager offered a credit for 3 pizzas or a refund for the $56, not including tip. In two days Toppers has a half off pizza sale, so they basically offered me 1.5 pizza value, or I can drive an hour to go get half my money back. Robbery! Half off an empty box and I can't say I'm tempted to ever go back. The manager wouldn't offer a 4th pizza for the hassle of driving, nor was he apologetic. This is how I discovered Toppers is a franchise but they don't have any system in place for quality control. Toppers Canada is going to do nothing, and leave it to the store manager in a city I won't be returning to for years. That's cool... We are headed to the beach and decided to bring sandwiches that we could eat later. It actually came up on my Google search for a grocery store, but a deli very much was going to serve the purpose I needed. It's effectively a smaller Central European grocery store with a good size deli and also a sandwich counter. While I was waiting for the sandwiches I took a look around the store, and there seemed to be a good variety of items and fairly priced, especially being imports. In spite of the name "Hans" for the store, I suspect it's Polish as that seemed to be where most products came from. Anyway, my wife had a ham and cheese sandwich and really enjoyed it. They offer to toast (press) it, but she opted not to due to planning to eat it later. I opted for the schnitzel. It was just $10 and another $1 to add sauerkraut. That's good value no matter how you look at it, but considering I paid an almost identical price earlier in the day for a special edition burger at McDs that was so poor, the value and quality stood out that much more. It was made to order too. Absolutely delicious. I doubt I was going to find a better sandwich for $10 anywhere else, so fully deserving of the 5 stars.

The meats are always sliced to order and taste like you would find it in the best stores in Europe. Their Schnitzel on a Bun is so big that I cannot finish a whole one myself. You're getting great value for your money, especially when it's a schnitzel special day (Wednesday). I highly recommend this place if you're looking for European groceries as well.
