By 2:00AM I was taken to hospital by ambulance. Given serious meds. No need for a stomach pump as everything was out. Released at noon. Still sick. Again, serious meds. "Dry heaves" for over a week. No solids for two weeks. Again taken to the hospital due to passing out. It took a month before I could have a real meal. It wasn't at Wendy's. Decided salads would be safe. First is the language barrier. It's English they speak, sort of. Last time I went in the cashier kept saying something, which turned out that seated meals were finished for the night; it was 8:58PM. I said it was to go. A female staffer came over to him and they started a conversation. Take my order? I'm standing right in front of him. Ergo I left. So, food is Russian Roulette, service is iffy, ambiance is no big deal. Is it really worth going back? Naw...

On several occasions they have mixed up my orders. Furthermore, I often leave drive-thru without needed napkins or even a straw. If you feel like Wendy's in Barrie, I would suggest the Fairview, Dunlop, or Bayfield location before this one.

Visited a friend up in the area and ended up at Kenzington Burger Bar. Didn't expect much at first,…read morebut it turned out to be a really solid spot. The server was super understanding and kind enough to accommodate our group, even with one of us arriving late thanks to traffic and all the freezing rain going on. That, plus the laid-back vibe of the place, made it easy to settle in and enjoy the meal. We shared Fried Dills and Porky Poutine to start. I went for the Brie & Fig Burger with onion rings. What I really liked here is how creative the burger menu is. Everything sounded a little quirky in the best way, and honestly, I wanted to try almost all of them. Wish I had more stomachs. The portion sizes were generous too, which made the ride back to Toronto feel extra worth it. They've also got a nice variety of options for people with dietary restrictions, which I always think is worth pointing out. While I felt the food could be polished just slightly in a few spots, that's being picky. Overall quality was solid, and when you pair that with the kind of thoughtful service we got, it just made everything come together. Usually I'm a bit cautious about places that try to do too much, but this one actually pulls it off in a way that feels intentional and fun. Just really glad I had the chance to check it out. Definitely one of those spots I'd return to without hesitation.

Used to be my favourite fast food burger... but I won't be back…read more Tried to mention all this to the manager but he didn't care. Kitchen staff are great. Food quality is still there. But front-house staff are intolerable. There's an old woman who cleans the dining room. Bless her heart she's trying... but I don't want to have a full conversation in the middle of my meal and I feel guilty hinting that she should leave me alone. One new guy at the counter is incredibly rude and gruff. Might be an ESL issue but still. Another kid is helpless- just stared at me blankly until I asked "are you ready to take my order?" Then he stared at me again after packaging a takeout bag (I wanted to eat in) and I had to ask "is that food for me?" Worst: a young girl ignored my burger in the 'pass' for 2 full minutes while she scraped container after container of sour cream onto her baked potato staff meal. Someone from the kitchen even stuck their head out to remind her that my burger was done. I asked "is that my burger, and is that your lunch?" To which she replied yes to both (as if obvious). I let her know it's not okay to ignore guests' food... but I doubt she cared. If you want bad service and cold food, this is your spot. These are multiple experiences and not a one-off. First time visiting a Chick-fil-A and I'm not at all impressed…read more We went through the Drive Thru where we waited 10 minutes in line just to place our order. Once we reached the order takers (who are outside for some weird reason) we were asked what we wanted to order before we ever reached the digital menu display (heaven forbid we want to learn about the menu before ordering). We decided to order two Chicken Sandwiches. After we placed our order we waited another 10 minutes in the Drive Thru until we received our order. Even though we had our order in hand, we were boxed in at the Drive Thru for another 5 minutes before we could even leave because we were stuck behind other vehicles still waiting for their order. Not sure if this counts as ambiance, but the drive thru experience was the worst I've encountered in years. When we got home, our Chicken Sandwiches were literally just burnt chicken with pickles on a bun - no sauce or other toppings. Not worth $7 a sandwich at all. TL;DR - Pass on this restaurant. Trying to change industry norms in all the most inexplicable ways.
