My wife and I were traveling home from Williamsburg and decided to take Route 17 instead of I-95. By the time we reached Saluda, we were getting hungry, so we checked Yelp to see what was nearby. There weren't many options until we got closer to Tappahannock, and that's when we decided on NN Burger. We sat outside on the patio, where they also have a TV. We ordered our drinks, which came in small pitchers -- a different approach, though I imagine it might lead to some waste. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries to share, and when it came out, the server had already cut the burger in half and split the fries between two plates, which was a nice touch. The burger was really good, and the fries were just as good. After finishing, we ordered a chocolate shake, and it was excellent. Overall, NN Burger was a great find along our drive. If you're in the area, stop in and give it a try.

And since the star of the show is a burger, they did NOT disappoint. I had a classic bacon cheeseburger and enjoyed every last bite of it. In fact, it dork slapped me that I don't go to burger joints enough! If this spot was closer to me, I would definitely return more often. With them I had their fries. They were CLASSIC fries. Very good and perfectly prepared. If it had any downsides it would be that they ration your ketchup portion. With the prices these days I didn't appreciate that. The atmosphere was wide open and clean. Plenty of covered seating outside. And, best - they had plenty of good staff. Always the sign of a great management team. Pro-tip: They have their own parking lot and plenty of street parking around. However, there is a VERY busy intersection right next door which makes is stupendously difficult to leave in some directions. Take that into consideration on your planning: how to get away from the place.

Used the kiosk to order and took a number and headed to a table. Sat there for a bit playing with my phone. I do have to say that this was a weirdly set up location. Like they attempted to rebuild with the orientation of the front of the building facing the exit of the drive thru. Majority of the seating is off to the one side of the building. Weird. My food showed up shortly after I sat down. Good to see that they haven't forgotten the dining room. Food was on par with what you would expect from a McDonald's. Fries were fresh out of the fryer. Good stop to grab a fast meal and head back on the road.

She was positive and I must say there were so many employees here working together than at any other McDonald's I have been to before. This was nearby and I needed to just snake my way over here from where I was. Pulled in and right up to a pump. Decided to do the contactless route here. I grabbed myself a drink from the cooler and made my way to the register. I opted for the self check out here since it was just a drink. After fueling up, getting back out on the road was not hard at all. Heading in the right direction, I was on my way home.

Absolutely delicious restaurant! The menu is full of all the typical options from tacos, burritos…read moreand rice based dishes. They also serve a variety of platters. I ended up getting their Chile Verde which is pork chunks topped with salsa Verde. At other restaurants, the pork is often tough or can be inconsistent in tenderness. But not here the pork was juicy and tender through and through. The rice and beans served with it were great compliments. I had a pina colada daquiri and joked about how large of a size the regular was! It was huge and I was so curious about the large size. Pro-tip, you will probably want the large size it was just that good! Our server was kind and the food came out quite quickly! They have a large parking lot and an ample sized seating area inside. It does have a separate entrance and exit though which I haven't experienced at a restaurant before so just keep that in mind once you are ready to leave. Overall, this is a great Mexican restaurant in Tappahanock. I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu but I'd definitely reccomend their pork dishes. Whether you sit at the bar, their high tops or a booth the food doesn't disappoint.

Unfortunately the only thing that was hot was the chili. The burgers were cold as was the chicken nuggets. The French fries were lukewarm. I went back and told the person at the counter that the sandwiches were cold. Five minutes later, the manager came out and asked me what the problem was. I told her everything was cold. Several minutes later the counterperson brought out two replacement burgers, but we were left eating cold fries and chicken nuggets. To top off the unimpressive meal, the restroom smelled like a sewer. I'd like to think it was a temporary situation but on the wall sign which boasted of a clean restroom, someone had written on it, "except for the sewer gas". One of Wendy's biggest problems is their inconsistency. Sometimes you find one where the food is fresh and hot, and other times, it is cold and disappointing. Like I said, unfortunately the two-star rating for this location is well deserved.

Now here we are, everything is supposed to be open, no restrictions, and doors are still locked. But, I digress... Now, I don't mind hitting a drive-thru if the line isn't long and I'm in a hurry, but the double drive-thru is is always backed up and there's nothing fast about it. "Well, you could just go in and order, right?" Oh, how I'd love to, but the doors have been locked since March of 2020. I could understand if the dining area is STILL closed because they're short staffed, but, they're not short staffed. I've seen more people working in there when I've gone through the drive-thru than I ever saw working in there before the shutdowns! I can live with a dining area being closed, but at least let people come in and order to-go. This McDonalds is using this "short staffing" thing as an excuse. Do you really feel comfortable being denied the ability to see who is touching your food? I don't. Take a good look through the window next time you hit a drive-thru where the doors are locked...look at the nice pajama pants they're wearing while they dance around to whatever garbage music is blasting through their personal speakers, and sitting on the counter where you order your food from inside, sucking on a milkshake while they stare into their phones. (And, yes, that is exactly what I've seen through the window more than once.) To anyone in Warsaw, VA, or even passing through; stop going here. Stop giving money to people that do not care about their customers. They don't want us in there because they don't want to be held accountable. They're quite enjoying this, I think. So stop giving this McDonalds - and the one in Tappahannock- money until they'll let you walk in the door and see the conditions.
