It's one of those places that isn't made to look like an old style drive thru - it just is that way. Order something off the plentiful back lit menu signs, featuring faded colour food photos. The circular black vinyl booths make for a good spot to wait the 15 minutes for your made fresh to order, juicy burger. Or, if you're feeling lucky, you could try your hand at their crane game - stocked with stuffed animals that look like they've been there since the good ol' diner days. The burgers are by no means artisanal, but they're pretty tasty in that truck stop diner kind of way, and especially good when you take the price into consideration. Single burgers clock in around the $4 mark and fully loaded double burgers around $6. It's exactly what you'd want in a small town burger joint. They've even got free wifi, so if you're looking for a lunch stop that's difference from the Timmy's or A&W in town, Burger Baron would be a great stop.

We've grabbed burgers here before and they've always been great. No change - great old style Drive In burgers, although a tiny bit too much of that salad dressing-type sauce this evening. Still 4-star burgers! I added smoked meat poutine as my side that quite frankly tasted more like BBQ sauced poutine (half point deduction from this judge considering very carefully the degree of difficulty ). My wife went with onion rings as her side. She MADE me try one. It felt and tasted like a low temp fried mini-donut - just needed powdered sugar . Soggy, soft, and no taste. Worth another half point deduction. No Olympic performances with the sides tonight!

We have had people say it's a pretty good burger. So, here we are going to try out the burgers. It's a drive thru order no inside sitting. You can park and walk up to a window and order and sit outside on a few benches and tables set up front. The drive thru work like this, You order on one side of the Shack and pick up on the other side. This is not a fast food chain, each order is made fresh with care from the time you order to the time you pick up. From the person who took our order to the person that gave us our order was friendly and fabulous!! Ordered two cheeseburger combos. Which was 2 big cheeseburgers, 2 huge fries and 2 drinks for $25.60. We have never had a burger and fries that were so hot and delicious!! We will definitely be returning to try out their other food items and milkshakes!!

We stopped for gas and saw there was an A&W inside the gas station mini mart. We were so excited because we wanted a snack for our trip back to Radium Hot Springs. The A&W is located in the very back of the store, and is quite small. When I walked up to see the menu, I noticed it was limited and they only offered some of their basic menu items; floats and cheese curds weren't listed. I asked one of the ladies behind the counter and she confirmed it. So disappointing. We had eaten lunch a couple hours before, so we were just looking for a quick snack. If you're looking for a burger, fries and soda, this is probably a nice, convenient stop. If you're looking for snacks, stick to the mini mart!

We were hoping we would leave within 10 minutes but it took almost 20 minutes. The employee working the front at the time seemed like he was on his first day. He was extremely slow and was not familiar with reading order properly. The breakfast sandwiches were done and sat on the counter for nearly 5 minutes before I had to ask about the rest of the order which was just fries and a drink. I also ordered a paper bag from the kiosk and when I asked where my bag was, he told me to pay for it first. I don't know why he did not look carefully over the receipt so I had to grab the extremely hot food with my hands on account of not knowing how long he would take giving me a bag. This encounter led to our group being late to our 5 am bus to Lake Moraine. Do yourself a favor and go to Tim Hortons the night before and order some food to prevent such a catastrophic morning.
