Had to get food. I'm not a DQ guy, I'm just not. But Sydney isn't a place in which one can be picky. In my opinion, management is clearly lacking and does not seem to care about the appearance of the restaurant. There were dirty glasses sitting in the sink waiting to be washed, and the overall atmosphere just felt neglected. The food only made things worse. My mozzarella sticks came out cold, while the marinara sauce was scorching hot, like it had been overheated in the microwave. It honestly felt like the sauce was expected to warm the mozzarella sticks back up. My fries were also completely cold with no heat whatsoever. The burger itself was actually good, but by that point the overall experience had already ruined the meal. One interaction with the staff also rubbed me the wrong way. Someone brought my burger from behind the bar, and when I politely asked for ketchup and mustard, he repeated my request back sarcastically and pointed me toward the bartender, saying she would get it for me. What makes this even more disappointing is that I was genuinely excited to find an Applebee's nearby.
