I stop at the drive through speaker and a voice says "Just pull up to the window" and I thought "Okey dokey..." and did just that, although I was a bit confused. Getting to the window a sweet young lady was saying to someone that they told the wrong person to pull up to the window before she turned to me laughing. I'm cracking up as she says "Hi! It's okay as we know what you want!" I'm dying laughing and said "Great! You've already got my two chicken biscuits ready then, right?" She's looking at me with such a grateful face that I'm not upset, the people behind her are scrambling to get my order IMMEDIATELY, and in no time flat I have my order as we're joshing back and forth. I totally enjoyed my short time at the drive through, and the psychic chicken and biscuits were AWESOME! The pieces of chicken breast were HUGE, fried to perfection, and the biscuits put Hardee's to shame. It's also so much easier to get in and out of than Hardee's is... especially since whoever did the redesign and rebuild there. (Being a retired contractor all I'm gonna say is the architect had to be on mind altering drugs as it's a horrible mess trying to get in and out of that place... the parking and drive through leave me speechless.) I've gotta go back when I have enough calories in reserve so I can chow down on more of their goodlicious food... right now I have a really happy belly and couldn't even finish the two chicken and biscuits I ordered when I thought I was starving!

I was going to give them big props for giving me SEVEN tenders instead of FIVE, as I'd be eating chicken for two days instead of one... but by Wednesday night I was the poster girl for a PeptoBismol commercial! I was SICK SICK SICK! I'm not going to go into details, but I know y'all have seen the commercial for the pink stuff... so you know EXACTLY what I mean. UGH! I started nibbling on a really pretty tender and it tasted good. I got the mild ones this time since I usually get the spicy, and I wanted to see how they tasted. Had a bite or two of the potatoes and gravy; just not up to par. The biscuit? Kinda dry and really had no flavor, which was weird. I was expecting the buttery, light and fluffy goodness that one usually gets... but nope! I finished the one tender and attempted another, but didn't get halfway through. Something said to stop, so I did. Really glad I did as I'm sure I'd be much sicker than I am. I checked the rest of the chicken and it's cooked all the way through... no pink spots. Not sure what the culprit is that made me so ill, but it's something in the meal. I'm not going back there. Although I've had wonderful meals at the Murfreesboro location, I am swearing off Popeyes for life. The generous three stars are for the sweet people who work there. They are deserving of more because of how they treat customers... and the food I got deserves far less than that. So... here it is. I averaged it out.
