if you go to subway in the Lexington NE Wal-mart, be sure to ask if they charge you extra if you ask for extra veggies ie black olives, pickles, tomatos etc. they charged me .35 cents each for extra black olives and dill pickles. what they put on the first time was so scanty it didn't go from one end of the foot long to the other. when I asked for more, they said I had to pay extra and when they put on the "extra" it was bareley a teaspoon full. same thing with the dill pickles. I called the corp. office to complain. they told me a customer should never be charged extra for any veggies (within reason) and they strongly discourage this practice to franchise owners. be sure to ask about any extra charges before you ask for extra veggies and just to be sure, check your reciept too. corp. contacted the manager of the store who then called me and seemed upset that I had called corp. she said "it's too bad all this "CRAP" had to happen over a few black olives". she went on to tell me that from now on GOOD customers like myself and my friend would no longer be charged extra for any veggies. I can't, in good conscience, patronize a place where it's likely that the person behind me will not be treated fairly. either charge us all or don't charge anyone for extras, post in plain sight that you do charge extra for veggies and be consistant with the amounts you put on a sandwich each and every time. subway is my favorite place to eat and I will miss eating there, SUBWAY has not raised their prices for their sandwiches so they must be making a profit on the product so please don't try to make money from hidden charges to decent hard working folks. read more
