While usually a fan of this location, apparent "corporate pressures" are to refuse to wrap 6" subs in larger papers. Difference in cost is fractions of a cent, and as this location is at a truck stop, my request was accompanied by a narrative on how hard it is to keep both truck and clothes clean with the smaller paper that one cannot use like a bib.
The snippy little girl totally ignored me, used the smaller papers, and when I asked why she hadn't honored my request, she marched into the back, accusing me of being rude in front of customers.
The manager arrived and made the high-level business-decision that a fraction of a cent was not that big an issue and re-wrapped my sub as I'd requested.
I said the little girl had made false accusations against me and really she was the one being rude by totally ignoring a customer request and then playing "victimhood olympics" on me. I requested an apology. The manager said it would be done privately. I observed that the false accusation had been public, so the apology should be.
But the little girlie was perhaps too fragile to take responsibility for her actions?
I contacted head office. They said this was not their problem. I asked for a supervisor call-back. Have been similarly ignored for 5 days.
Subway doesn't need renovations, enticing deals, or an impossible array of "new offerings". Corporate simply need to remember that the customer is the one who puts braces on their kids, pays for their fancy cars and vacations. I care zero for their "Jared" problems or over-expansion woes. Treat me with respect from the sandwich-line to corporate office and I will be a repeat customer.
