A lot of wannabe French places in Stockholm sound fake or out of place. Trying too hard on details…read moreforgetting some basics. All of the ones I tried made me feel 'meh' after some time. All of them except this one.
Food taste like when I am in French countryside, but nicely presented as Swedish standards dictates. Drinks are OK (I would have loved to have teas like mariage or betjeman).
But even if the food is good, this is not why I think this place is amazing. It is because I think that they achieved to mix something utterly difficult: making French and Swedish cultures cohabitate but not mix. Taking the strong and pleasant aspect of each, at least from my French point of view, and letting them shine. The place is small, and the decoration not bragging its origin, so what I am describing will be much more found in details and behavior of the service. In one sentence, they are comforting because they know that they are doing a great job, with passion, and take pride of it without the need to play a role or brag about it. And they are caring.
Overall, this place is very much approved.
