If you're coming here for lunch then don't - you're in Grey Lynn. If you want nice food there are better options (Kokako, say) and if you want cheap food there are better options (like the bakery). Subway is further down the list than you need to go.
If you're coming here for dinner, or even a late dinner, then I think that's more justified. Then the options are more limited and Subway, with its mid-range prices and mid-range quality, might just be what you're after. Subway fills a niche in the Grey Lynn shops, and it does it well enough to justify doing so. It's not great, but when is Subway ever? And it's never terrible.
