It's a bit of a climb up the stairs in front, although there is a ramp in the back with the bakery entrance. The ambiance just in keeping with the 100-yr-old setting. Tables for 4 are scattered in a couple of front rooms, and the chairs are small but sufficient. I had the Norman-Marcus chicken salad sandwich. The bread was fresh and the chicken salad was ample and flavorful. I had a side salad with homemade ranch and it was very good. My wife and mother-in-law had baked potato soup for their sides and it was hot, thick, and filling. I finished with the German chocolate bread pudding and our waiter was foresighted enough to bring 3 spoons. My wife and I enjoyed it very much; hot, chocolate, cinnamon, and very rich. We'll have to add Harmony House into our list of places to stop when we're in town.

Coffees, teas, lemonades. I stopped in for a coffee on Saturday morning. The one barista working was steady busy since he was by himself. I waited probably close to 10 minutes for 2 iced coffees. They weren't anything special, but we enjoyed them. It was $14, so that's pretty average. They use Topeca coffee, and I think there are other local coffee shops in town with better coffee. But the atmosphere has always been great. It's perfect for remote work or a meeting. Or even a first date.

They are always woefully understaffed, and typically the staff seems like they hate being here as much as we do (tonight was an exception, staff was friendly). Included a photo of the updated fries in case you think they're the nice looking ones from years ago: nope, they're great value "McD's" knockoff fries.
