Their 'apewiches' are, hands down, the most flavorful sandwiches I have ever had in Germany (making me miss my favorite sandwich shop in the US). The 'salapes' are just as tasty and a really great value. You get to choose the combination of ingredients you'd like and can pretty much create a new salad every time you visit! The ordering station, the names of the food options, it was like Chipotle had been transplanted to Germany. I think the owner is American and he/she saw and opportunity and grabbed it. I was PUMPED because I love Mexican food and haven't had good Mexican in the last 5 months of living in Europe. I legit clapped with glee when I walked inside. I was that excited. I ordered a burrito bowl with brown rice, black beans, corn salsa, pico, barbacoa, sour cream, and cheese. Plus a side of tortilla chips. Pricey, but dang. So, so good. Worth it. Wish they would have channeled their Qdoba vibes by offering free guac, but I'll take good Mexican food when I can.
