Not because it's a fantastic restaurant but because it has comfort food that makes me feel like I did growing up in Ohio. Burgers are always spot on. Pretzel bites are really good with the beer cheese and beers are reasonably priced. This time they added pierogi to the menu and they were awesome. I have no real complaints about this restaurant. Everything is seasoned well and a solid bar menu. Restroom is very divey might be the only small issue.

It has that old-school neighborhood deli feel mixed with a quirky, cozy little café vibe. Lots of character in the decor and the kind of atmosphere that makes it feel like you found something local instead of just stopping somewhere to eat along the way. The staff was also super nice and helpful. We had a couple questions while ordering and they were friendly, patient, and made the whole experience easy. Most importantly... the sandos were legit. I went with the Maffioso, which was fantastic. One of the kids built her own with pepperoni and mozzarella, the other went with mac and cheese, and my wife had the Caprese panini. Four very different orders and everyone left happy, which is basically the family-lunch equivalent of pitching a perfect game. Great sandwiches, cool atmosphere, friendly people, and plenty of personality. This is exactly the kind of random road-trip lunch stop you hope to stumble across. Would absolutely stop again if we're anywhere near Tiffin.

Our waitress also forgot my water at first, which added to the slow start. That said, the food redeemed the visit. I ordered the buffalo chicken mac and cheese, and it was genuinely excellent. The flavor balance was strong, creamy and cheesy with a solid buffalo kick. The portion size was satisfying. The ambience was nice and felt like a classic diner. Even though it was busy, the lively atmosphere actually made the place feel welcoming and energetic rather than chaotic. The full dining room gave it that authentic diner experience. Overall, I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars. The long wait impacted the experience, but the food and atmosphere were strong enough that I would consider giving it another chance during a less busy time.

They have a tiny waiting area with a few seats but that's about it. The building is OLD but it adds to the aesthetic imo. The food though is great!! The food is made fresh and their topping portions are generous. Highly recommend!!

Today was a disappointing experience with a local Pizza Palace restaurant in Fostoria…read more Our lunch order was prepared incorrectly due to an error on their end. When we called to have the mistake corrected, we were told the incorrect pizzas had to be returned before they would replace them. By the time the correct order arrived, our lunch break was already over. We politely asked if the replacement order could simply be delivered the following day since we no longer had time to eat, but the request was refused without any attempt to make the situation right. Mistakes happen--we all understand that. What separates great businesses from the rest is how they respond when those mistakes occur. In this case, the error was not the customer's, yet the inconvenience and lost lunch fell entirely on us. A small gesture of goodwill would have gone a long way in showing that customer satisfaction matters. Because of how this situation was handled, our workplace has decided we will no longer be ordering from this restaurant. This isn't about the pizza itself--it's about customer service, accountability, and treating customers fairly when a business makes a mistake. Hopefully this serves as a reminder that taking care of your customers is always worth more than the cost of one pizza.

DELICIOUS TIFFIN CHOW!…read more For being in the small town of Tiffin, Ohio, a REALLY FAR rock throw away from Ohio's big city hustle & bustle of Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati or Toledo, Paulette's brings the country charm with tasty home cookin'! Not many mom & pop eats for brekkie in this college town, so let's sample the goods here! Yelp Directions are on point, with a small parking lot to rest the transport. Place was hopping this Saturday morning, with lots of locals filling the tables up! MUST be better than the 3* yelp rating with all this action going on!!! We even had to wait 15-20 min to get a table to empty before we could sit down. Super friendly staff, very clean inside. Lots of options for eats during breakfast... Let's get our chow on! #7 CORNED BEEF, EGGS, TOAST: It's actually Corned Beef HASH so even better! Cook adeptly honored our request to brown it up a bit to have a nice crunch to it, which it was, perfectly! Compliments to the Chef! Ample serving too! Yay! Eggs were asked to be over medium and they arrived just as ordered, with Just enough "runny-ness." Add some golden toasted bread and this makes a really comforting start to our morning! CRUNCHY FRENCH TOAST with MEAT CHOICE: Whatever makes this creation crunchy, IT IS PERFECT! This texture is ABSOLUTELY what French Toast needs to make me enjoy it. And I found it in TIFFIN, OH of all places! 4 Triangles only needed a touch of syrup to sweeten the deal. DEEE-LICIOUS! Added some sausage links and golden crispy home style potatoes. Great Breakfast meal! GRILLED CHEESE BACON BURGER on TEXAS TOAST: College Kid was eyeing this baby from the get go! And it did not disappoint!!! Cheese component was ooey gooey, bacon was not too crispy ( which he prefers), and the thick burger patty came out over medium, as requested! Ample serving of crinkle fries to enjoy and share. The Kid was pleasantly satisfied! VERY EASY RECOMMENDATION! Nom Nom Level is HIGH! That 3* yelp rating is REALLY deceiving!! We came in not expecting much, yet departed happily fulfilled to start the day! ALL the menu items we sampled were a delight to the taste buds and the staff were attentive and friendly. Don't let yelp rating scare you, Paulette's is absolutely worth visiting! Enjoy :)
