Miserable staff for the most part. There are a few nice ones but the manager is thoroughly unpleasant. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

For those who don't mind reading, we will start with the look and location. It's in a tiny strip mall that is behind a Taco Bell. There is no sign for the tiny strip mall for this place. It is only on the building. When you go in, you can tell the place was recently done (within the past year or two, I would guess). It looks nice enough considering strip mall food places get a bad rep. The only odd thing I noticed about the place were the little stripes of paint that no one seemed to wipe off of some of the wall tiling. Other than that, it was nice for the space that they had. A really cool thing to look at are the pictures on the wall that someone took off their family and vacation. They're time stamped and clearly blown up, but it's someone who clearly wanted to capture what they loved. Food: The food was overall good and would order just about everything again. For the appetizer, we ordered fried zucchini. It was surprisingly good. I often would get it from places, and it would be mush. They fried it with perfect timing. The marinara sauce given with it was superb for what it was served with. We wanted to keep it simple, so we ordered a meatball hoagie and a plain pizza. The meatball hoagie was the only thing that was underwhelming. The amounts of everything given on it were fine but the meatballs were bland made the hoagie, sadly, a little tasteless other than the cheese. I always expect a flavor blast when eating meatball hoagies (probably because that's how my mom made them when I was a kid, and I make them today). By no means was it bad, but it certainly wasn't good. It was there and that was that. "What kind of moron orders a plain pizza and judges it?" ME! That's who. Your plain pizza is what you base all of your other pizzas on. The sauce to cheese ratio was to my liking. That means it had average amounts of both. It was a thinner pizza and slightly crisp (in no way burnt). The sauce for the pizza was seasoned nicely and the little bit of seasoning that goes on top of the cheese was just enough to give an edge. It was a savory pizza sauce. You know the kind of pizza where the crust is just too much, and it seems like a chore to eat? That was definitely NOT the case here. I kind of wish I ordered some marinara to go with my crust. Overall, a pretty good pizza. Because I was overall impressed, I ordered a cannoli. I REALLY like cannolis but had my fair share of bad ones. But Carini's had one of the better ones. I would suggest getting one (they're only $3.50). It's a sweet one where they put the chocolate chips in. If you're in the area and need a pizza or just some food in general, I would try here and test it yourself. Some things to take note, they use Styrofoam cups for their drinks and have clean bathrooms.

She guided us with recommendations on what to order. I had the strawberry arugula salad with chicken and it was excellent! My partner had the chicken wings in two flavors and he said they were meaty and delicious. Glass of cab franc was also good and reasonably priced. Overall a great experience and definitely recommend!

Besides the staple menu, there was a rotating menu featuring a soup, mussel dish, flatbread, burger, and pasta. The food took some time to come out, and everything was rather bland across the board. The interior was decorated nicely for the holidays though. *Hummus Platter: a huge shareable for $10. The crispy naan resembled the Costco version but fried. The naan itself worked well as a base for the hummus, although the hummus was neither smooth nor flavorful. There was no fragrance from the chickpeas, and it tasted rather unseasoned. The selection of peppers, carrots, and cucumbers was decent. *Garlic Butter Mussels: their monthly mussel dish. The mussels were cooked well and coated in a one dimensional sauce. The sweet wine was cooked down with lots of garlic, while the butter was subtle. I wished there had been a bit more toasted baguette to balance the one pound of seafood. Note there is a 3% credit card surcharge. I could not find this listed on their menu and but I saw the charge on my receipt. I enjoyed the few beers I had, and the food was acceptable for a bar. With some improvement to the flavors, this could be a worthwhile visit for a bite and a drink.
