Everything is fine for several months. Then I get a notice from my realtor about a message left with her from Adirondack Energy. I'm not sure why they wouldn't just put a letter in the mailbox, seeing as they would obviously know the address. How'd they even find the realtor? Apparently I need to contact them or they're gonna take the tank next week. Only, I call and they aren't taking the tank next week, they're taking it today. Oh, but wait, it gets even weirder. Because of course this situation does. The previous owner noted in 12/5 that a sale would be going through, and there would be a new owner. Makes sense, as the account should be transferred. So why is the tank being removed? Just because the previous owner, who no longer owns the house, and disclosed there would be a new owner, asked for it to be removed. Apparently you can just ask other people's tanks to be taken out. I've never interacted with this company before, but like I said, this is the most deranged behavior I've ever seen from a business. Tracking down my realtor over this is some crazy stalker ex kind of behavior, not anything for professionals. Yikes.

I called Hurley Bros around 8:30 in the morning and asked if…read morethey would be able to fill my tank with in the next couple of days as well as help me turn my gas back on since I had it turned off. The gentleman on the phone asked what time I was available that day and since it was my day off I told them whatever tim was convenient for them. They told me they would be there later that day. The service man was at my door with the tank already filled by 9:15 am. He they proceeded to turn it on and help me light the pilot light. I couldn't believe how fast they were. And even though I had nothing to do that day, they made sure to not keep me waiting around all day.

They will also charge you for fuel that you did not authorize to be delivered. They were told by Micheal Rosenquist to fill the tank and it was not authorized by me, the account holder. The better business Bureau has been informed and I will be taking them to court for unauthorized use of my account with a person that was not the account holder. I wouldn't risk it.

Mark the inspector for budget propane came to our house , stated it would not be an issue , gave us a rough estimate, and suggested we wait until the tankless is installed and they would be back to do the final hook up . I purchased a tankless unit and had it installed at a cost of $1200 . Now after paying for the tankless budget refused to do the final work because I want to pay for the work in cash and did not want to fill out a credit app ( I own my own tanks ) and sign up with them exclusively. I am now without heat or hot water and out $1200 . All because I want the option to buy from whomever I choose based on the price at the time . Budget propane =budget service ! Make sure you get everything in writing as I now have to involve legal counsel! If you can't /won't do the work say so upfront ! Do not ask your prospective clients to shell out thousands of dollars and then try to hold them hostage because they won't sign exclusively with you ! It is very reminiscent of bait-and-switch which is illegal in Canada . As citizens we have the right to choose who we do business with and should not be bullied into signing a contract because the company feels they have us by the balls !

This is in the contract, but it does seem a bit suspect that my second filling usually just happens to come in just under the 1000 litre tank rental limit which adds an extra $192 to my annual heating bill. Levac is able to monitor my usage remotely so they knew my tank was well above the 20% range at which they recommend refilling. In five years this is almost an extra $1000.
