May 18, 2023 Came in…read moreto see Dr Rishi Lall, Neurologist for a consultation on an MRI I had due to a rollover crash I had last summer Don't go to the Neuro Surgeon dept like I did; it's the 2nd floor Ste 270 I got here 11 minutes late at 1241p for a 1230 appointment; I waited until 1258 to get back into the exam room. 130p for nurse practitioner to talk with me and 135p for Doc to arrive. Very busy office. Lots of people in pain. Sad really. But, ME? Even with several bulging discs on spine and in lower back and neck...at 61, I'm doing better than most at my age (per the Dr). Dr Lall is probably in his 30's and very friendly. I like him and would see him again.

So i went and was prescribed a med that didnt work. Went back for follow up. Said that didn't work.. We discussed my continued follow up with my ortho. But nothing for pain. Just sent home with no treatment plan, no follow-up.. Nothing. So what do i do now.. Go find another pain management and say I have an orthopedist to fix the orthopedic problem but I have to have you fix the pain problem. ​I mean I don't understand where to go from here. ​I was with my last pain management for 15 years before they moved to a location further from me. So this is brand new for me to start new with the doctor and they're not getting my concerns. I guess. So I don't think I'm going to be able to return because nothing is happening here there's no plan . I'm just paying money to go in there and tell him what my orthopedist is doing and I'm getting nothing back from them. ​​​​​​​​​​

He has explained  in great depth what my condition is so that I can understand. I have something called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.  I have never heard of this, so he has educated me on it a lot. He does not give you false hope. If it's a 50/50 chance he lets you know. When it comes to blocks. He's not a pill pusher. I like that about him. He does try procedures first.  He takes all the time you need with him until you understand the procedures and process of how he's going to treat you. You will not find a better Dr. The office staff is extremely nice and helpful. Everyone always says hi and ask how  I'm doing or if I need anything I would definitely recommend Dr Garcia if you have any kind of pain. He genuinely cares for his patients.

I originally found myself coming here after finding a new OBGYN in Kelsey-Seybold system. I had a prior Kelsey- Seybold OBGYN but I didnt feel that person really was attentive to my concerns. Plus, the scheduling for others near my home was months away, so after some research, I found a new OBGYN to visit. Scheduling was quite easy to make through MyChart. Plus I waa able to place myself on the waiting list ro kove my appointment up. Of course, that did not happen, but it was telling that no one cancelles and that I had to wait awhile for my appointment. This doctor is really good! Check in happens on the 1st floor. Once you are checked in, then you are directed to your floor or area for your appointment. Everytime Ive came, it has been plenty of space, no crowded waiting rooms, and not a long wait at all. That includes the wait in the waiting room as well as for the doctor. I've found that the nurses are very sincere ans welcoming at each visit and my doctor is even sweeter! Dr. Suliman's disposition is so bubbly and cheerful but also encouraging. I really needee this type of care in this season of my life with the medical conditions I have faced throughout this year. I am thankful I found this location and would glady recommend it to others.

After talking to her about my situation she immediately advised to leave the facility and come back at a later time. She did not even attempt to make an accommodation after talking to her about my situation. I personally work in healthcare and it was very disappointing experiencing this at a Kelsey Clinic.

I think she offers a practical approach, advising effective treatments without pushing extreme measures. Her nurse made a point of offering encouragement and did a good job of communicating with us. We had a SNAFU on the appointment time that was almost certainly my fault but the front desk staff was polite and sympathetic and got us in anyway. Actually, we saw the doctor faster than we do many places when we manage to show up on time. The location is easy to get to and the office is clean and pleasant. Dr. Vijayakumar is in the Methodist system which always a plus.

That isn't an overstatement. After 40 years of feeling miserable from the time I took my first sip…read moreof water in the morning until I fell asleep, I truly had reached the point where I didn't care anymore. 40 years of being told nothing was wrong....dozens of doctors, many "specialists". None giving me more than 10 minutes of their time to try to explain a lifetime of issues. My first appointment with Dr. Banki lasted over an hour. She took the time to listen - something not a single doctor had truly done to that point. She asked questions, she took notes...she was one of the only doctors I have ever met where I felt like an individual and not "patient X". None of this was more apparent than when we met after a multitude of tests had been performed. One of the tests was a barium swallow with a videoradiograph. The results came back as "No significant abnormality". I read this result in the patient portal prior to our follow up appointment and was crushed as usual. "Nothing is wrong". During the follow up appointment, I expressed my disappointment before Dr. Banki even had a chance to sit down. Her response was that she doesn't go off of the report. She wants to see the actual test results herself. We watched the video together. She was shocked that the report reflected no findings. She pointed out everything she saw on the video...play, rewind, play rewind. The video clearly showed a hernia. It clearly showed reflux. My stomach was twisted. My left diaphragm was elevated. Within 15 minutes of the end of our appointment, she had already had the department head of radiology update the findings. The day of surgery, Dr. Banki gave my wife hourly updates. She spoke to her at length after the surgery. She called me (not her office) multiple times over the next few days to see how my recovery was going. Every nurse, technician, or doctor I came in contact with would look at my chart, see Dr. Banki was my surgeon, and immediately being raving about Dr. Banki being an advocate for her patients. Several of them were patients, or had family members, that were patients of Dr. Banki. One told me that Dr. Banki saved her mother's life with emergency surgery. Another told me how patients fly in from all over the world to see Dr. Banki. If you are the type of person that skips to the end of the story, all you need to know is this. Dr. Banki is not your typical doctor. She will listen. She will care. She will do everything in her power to help you. She will not treat you like a number. She can give hope to the hopeless. I have no words that could truly do her justice. Do yourself a favor and just keep scrolling like I did. Read the reviews and stories from others. You will see the above repeated over and over again. Thank you Dr. Banki for doing what nobody else has been able to do. You have given me the gift of feeling normal, and for that I am forever grateful.

Starting with her highly efficient office staff, to her incredible team of her OR procedures or surgeries, to the nurses she personally approves to care for you, should a hospital stay be necessary. Dr. Banki is totally committed to the well being of her patients. We have a 43 year old handicap son, that has many difficult health issues. He has a feeding tube due to severe damage to his esophagus. Dr. Banki did not hesitate to see our son and come up with a plan to help our sons current condition. We were referred to other surgeons who refused to even see our son, but not Dr. Banki!! She treats our son like he is her only patient and is so kind and understanding of how, as his parents, how much she truly wants and expects to make our sons life better, while others would not even consider a office visit!! After needing to see a neurologist for months I finally had a referral and within 10 minutes he diagnosed me and assured me he was going to take care of me. He is like a doctor from the 60"s and spends as much time with you until he feels you understand and are comfortable with his diagnosis. I just can't say enough about him.
