if there was a star for a 0, I would've put that, but I'll settle for the lowest one I can choose…read more 1st of all, I went to them for a surgical consultation from suffering from severe lower back pain. I fell off a ladder back in Nov, 2024 & again fell backwards into a flower bed on 8/21/25 & ever since falling off the ladder, my back pain was debilitating. After consulting with my pain mgmt Dr, & after 4 rounds of shots, nothing was alleviating my pain. I'm talking about extreme high 10 pain. 1st appt, I met with Dr Gregory Bonnen's PA, Sara Kidd. I have had 2 back surgeries in my lifetime & both of which the 1st appt is always with a PA. And both of which I was laid on a table & thouroughly examined. This PA did not lay a hand on me. She based her analysis on an MRI I had 9 months previously. So she suggested that they do another MRI so they could see if the latest fall did anything further to injure my back. I thought it was very strange that I was not examined, but decided to wait & see what the new MRI said. And I was told that I would meet with Dr Bonnen the following week to go over the results & see what options (if any) that would be discussed. 2nd meeting, the PA walked in, but no Dr. And again, no physical exam. She started telling me that my MRI looked pretty good, although I did have some herniated disk, but not significant enough for surgery. So I ask her what my options were & what they recommended for me? She really didn't have anything to suggest to me. So, I was extremely upset at this point. So I asked her why Dr Bonnen wasn't' here as promised to go over the MRI with me. She replied that her & he had gone over my MRI the previous day. So I began to express my disappointment in the way they handled me, (or lack of). I asked why no one had examined me to see where my limitations were, where my back pain was, the 1st or the 2nd appt. I told her I thought their whole process was a waste of time. She said based on my MRI, they didn't need to examine me, which I thought was a joke, considering that both of my previous back surgeries involved examinations the 1st appt. She really didn't have a medical reason why they didn't do that. I complained that I was expecting to see a doctor & she explained he wasn't needed & that he was in surgery. I was crying the whole time I was telling her that my pain was so bad that my quality of life was absolutely terrible. She nodded her head & I said to her, so you guys are just going to send me back to my pain mgmt Dr to get shots (which only relieves the pain for a few months). She suggested that I do that & simpathized with my perdicament. And then I said to her, you haven't even suggested that I do physical therapy, nothing!! And all of sudden (because I brought it up) she was all over that & had all these suggestions. I thought to myself, how can she even profess to be in the field of helping people, when the patient, (not her) came up with the idea for PT??!! I as fuming. And of course, she says to me at some point, well you're welcome to get a 2nd opinion, & I replied, I certainly intend on doing that. I told her again, that their process was not only a waste of time & money for me, especially with the fact that I was never even examined!! I wouldn't refer this doctor, place or this PA to anyone who is seeking real help. My experience was & always will be a total waste of time & this doctor's office is a sham!!
