So based on the reviews I came here for Dr Kenny, when her books were full I decided to see if her other colleagues in office would accept me as a patient cos I was already 8 months pregnant. I had/have Dr Emily Laberge + she just helped me deliver my son last week. I can't not rave about Dr Laberge enough, she listens + is very intentive to details that matter TO YOU! You can also tell that she loves what she does + it shows through her compassion + patience. This whole office also got a huge upgrade from the pics you see on here! It's beautiful + very spacious inside. From check in to check out the entire staff has been so nice + helpful + gone out of their way for me one way or the other. I can't say good things enough about this place. I was so sad when I found that I couldn't have the dr I originally wanted but I'm glad I stayed cos it was a way better experience than the care I received at Kelsey (I know I know, big duh there) but seriously. If I have another baby I will absolutely be coming back here + recommending this office to everyone I know. read more

My review is for Lakisha Demerson and her trusty staff of incompetence. I heard nothing but raves and applause about this woman until I actually met her. My SO & I get there early to do the paperwork & the normal hospital stuff (so I thought) questions about birth history, family, how far along I think I am and all that jazz. There's the waiting in 3 different places of the clinic for 10-15 mins about piece. First waiting room, then to get my vitals, then for her to finally see me. I figured maybe it's just small, that's why there's such hiccup with all the waiting around for everything. (I had never had someone call me to get my vitals just to wait again, if you weren't ready for me why did you call me back here!?) Nope it's because the staff is dingy. One nurse didn't know I was pregnant... I knew this because of her clear expression of "You're pregnant!?" I was confused like "um... yeah kinda." (Thinking to myself: about 5-6 monthes, don't y'all have my chart??) Another nurse tried to get me to schedule a non-refundable payment for an unwanted, unnecessary c-section. Ask ask these questions about allergies & surgery. I kept telling her no & she kept insisting, trying to pull the "I know this is a sensitive time to discuss money but we have to know that you'll pay..." My husband & I we're like "err... is there like supervisor or somthing we can speak too because this..." when we said that she retracted her statement with some lame apology & excuse for it to being "procedural" to say that. (So it's your job to force unwanted, intensive surgery on someone? K, thankx.) Finally we get to Demerson & right off the back I stressed that I did *NOT* want a C-Section. She was great. She kinda listened--She cut me off a couple of times while speaking, but no biggie at first, she was all support and ish. Then I come back for my 2nd/ final visit & she's sceduling me for surgery!! I was trying to explain to her why I didn't & how last time we discussed it she was supportive. She cut me off AGAIN & said "I thought you were here for a C-Section, if I would have known that I wouldn't have continued to see you." My husband and I looked at each other--you guys don't know how bad we wanted to bop her upside the head. Like seriously? She then asks "do you have anymore questions for me?" We both were like I guess not. I tried to call back later and ask her staff different questions like her c-section rate & why she would insist on a c-section. I was put on hold for 10 mins just to be told "she doesn't wish to speak to you, do you have another doctor we can send your information to?" Well I did my own research, found out her c-section rates were HIGH & with my insurance covered a hell of a lot more for a c-sec than a vaginal birth!!!! Then after all this is said and done, tell me why 2-3 monthes later that same fake sympathetic nurse called me asked about when I was gonna pay for the surgery!? Apparently communication is null and void in these parts. read more

AVOID so called dr Lauren Millet at ALL cost. This gynecologist is not interested nor cares for her patients. I went into my appointment confident and hopeful, and left completely distraught and upset. After explaining my symptoms and the reason for my visit, most of the feedback received was repetitive sighing, eye rolling, and terrible body language. And after it all, she had the nerve to say that I didn't mention having any symptoms, really?!?! That's the reason I am here lady!!! I will never see this doctor again. My gut instinct told me to wait to see Dr. Falk or Dr. Poag, but of course Millet was the only available since no patients bother to see her. Overall, I had no terrible experience with the front desk or staff and the waiting room was nicely decorated. read more

It has taken me a while to write this review as I have never experienced the things that I did, so I needed to process everything and not act irrationally. I was a patient of Dr. Christopherson from maybe about 2018-2021. In 2019 I started bleeding every time I had intercourse. No pain, just blood. When I brought this up at my next yearly appointment she told me it was normal. Even during this appointment, she refused to do a pap because I had one the year prior. So I thought nothing of it. I just accepted that it was something I would have to deal with. As the years went on, the bleeding became heavier and would spot for days after. But this is normal right? It took me moving to another state in 2021 and finding another doctor to finally get a diagnosis and tested to be sure it wasn't cervical cancer. My new doctor informed me that this was in fact NOT normal and something we should be concerned with and take immediate action. No cervical cancer thank goodness. It turned out I have had cervical ectropion since 2019, untreated. I had to go through two excruciatingly lengthy and painful rounds of cryosurgery and the recovery that came with it. While I am disappointed in myself for not getting a second opinion, I just don't want other women to experience what I have. Anytime you are given the "it's normal" explanation from your doctor, please get a second opinion quick. It seems this office and Dr. Christopherson use that phrase often. This was my first time seeing a DO instead of an MD. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with her disregarding my symptoms, but I won't be seeing a DO or Dr. Christopherson again. I will also make sure the women in my family are aware to stay clear of this facility if you want quality treatment. read more

First I will Dr Millet is a good physician, and that is where all my compliments stop. The office staff are some of the most incompetent and rude people ever. Every time I went to this office they had trouble verifying my insurance. Even though carrier and coverage never changed. I had to wait over an hour and contact my carrier myself. Of course when I called The issue was handled in a mere five mins. The nurse/MA very rudely asked me "why are you removing your birth control" because somehow that was her business. Since I was swapping out my birth control they ran an unnecessary pregnancy test while I still had my Nexplanon in place, and charged me $5.50. The kicker they still call, harass, and threatened to send me to collections over the 5.50 bill. The office is a joke read more

I moved 3.5 hours away and have still been going back to her. I was extremely nervous about the in-office procedure I needed (hysteroscopy), especially since this was only my second time seeing her (I had moved from another state and had to to tearfully say goodbye to my Ob/Gyn of 12 years). Dr. Kenney was an all-star. She was incredibly nice throughout the whole thing and answered all of my admittedly groggy questions. And, most importantly, she was successful with the reason for the hysteroscopy, with minimal pain. I have been going to Dr. Poag for years now. She is a wonderful, caring doctor. She used to do obstetrics, but now only does gynecological services. She listens and is always open to suggestions when it comes to my healthcare. Her nurse is nice and the person that draws blood for labcorp in the office is excellent. There are two negatives I see. One is the front desk representatives-they are very business-like and not very friendly. It is like an assembly line. One rolled her eyes at me when she thought I wasn't looking after I told her my insurance didn't change. And the next negative is paper gowns-a fabric gown is so much more comfortable and modest. The gowns they have are in two parts-there is a top paper part that opens in the front for breast exams and a paper "sheet" that you wrap around the rest of your body. These are very uncomfortable and are worn even when you are discussing your history with the doctor. My review is a 5 for the doctor and a three for the office. read more

I've been with them for the last two years. Dr Demerson is my doctor, she was taking care of me thru my pregnancy and she was awesome during delivery! But the office staff gets worse and worse all the time.. I remember once I was waiting for my doctor for two hours(undressed in a cold room) and no one decided to tell me that she is having a surgery and I can get dressed and they tell me when she gets here, or reschedule. instead they told me at first that it's going to be 15 more min, 30 min later they told me that Demerson is on her way, and for the last hour nobody came to say anything. In the end I still waited for her and all together 2 hours 40 minutes after my scheduled time i saw her for 3 minutes. So I understand that accidents happens, but staff could handle it different way. And last week I was trying to get my sugar level checked. Had to take a half of day off and because of their poorly scheduling they couldn't do it the same day and told me to come back. Do they understand that I cant afford to take a whole day off every time? So if you are going there be prepared to wait at least 1 1/2 hours. And they will not call you about your appointment. Don't have anything personal against anyone who is working there some of the ppl are very nice! But they have poor management. They have a lot to work on! read more

My mother used to work in the medical field when I was younger, so she was very familiar with most of the doctors at this facility. When I became pregnant with my first child, she highly recommended this office. They truly are high-quality professionals with a massive amount of knowledge for pregnant women. Every doctor there is fantastic, so if one happens to be absent, you know you'll still be in good hands. They each have great bedside manners, outstanding support staff and well maintained equipment. I absolutely love seeing all the photos of babies they have delivered. If you are in search of an OB/GYN in this area, this is the first place you should consider. I started seeing Dr.Demerson 4 years ago when I had my second child. She is great. She listens and sincerely cares about her patients. The front desk is great. The ladies in the lab are great! BUT, the woman who schedules appts and checks patients out has GOT TO GO. She is very rude over the phone, goes out of her way NOT to help you and her overall demeanor is just horrible. I checked out today and handed her my papers, I said hello.. and nothing back. In a place of business.. she should be the one to make me feel welcomed. Dr. Demerson would not release our daughters remains! Dr Demerson and her staff are not transparent and are under-trained. The disrespect and disregard for my daughters remains hurts my wife and I to the core. Our daughter was left for almost 4 weeks before the funeral home could have access to her. THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT. Per the funeral home, there are other families without their baby's remains. I've been seeing Dr. Poag and Bay Are OBGYN for over 10 years now. I can't recommend this office enough! Dr. Poag is the nicest lady who truly cares about her patients. She helped find an Uterus abnormality I was born with and referred me to a Fertility Doctor who could correct it. It trust her advice and judgement. Her Nurses are wonderful too. They always call me back within the hour if I have to leave a message. If you're looking for Doctors that truly care about their patients go here. If you're smart you'll go any place but here. My first appointment I went in and while doing all of my testing the nurse didn't wear gloves the entire time, including while testing my urine. The doctor was nice though so I scheduled a second appointment a month out. I get a call the day before saying that the doctor wasn't under my insurance and that I could see one of their other ones, that's fine. Frustrating that it was the day before my appointment, but fine. They schedule me for three days later. The next morning I get a call saying that nursing will be understaffed and they try and reschedule me again. I couldn't do that day, so they told me they would make it work with my original schedule. Five minutes later they call back and say they can't make it work. Incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. They said I could come in a week later and I said it wouldn't work and that I would be out of town, they then said I could call back when I ready to figure out a time. Only the second appointment and they had to reschedule me three times in one hour, at this point I'm going to a new doctor, hopefully one that is more organized. read more

I can't speak for the other gynecologists or their assistants but Dr. Demerson is absolutely a gem in Clear Lake. I was terrified of going to the gynecologist and read so many reviews until I found one I was comfortable with. She put my mind to ease when I first met her and saw how friendly, experienced, knowledgeable she was and what outstanding bedside manner she had. She truly has made going to the "vag" doctor a not so awkward experience for me and I can never thank her enough. I also have her to thank for fueling my weight loss as she was the first one to really open my eyes to what I was putting in my body and how I was letting myself go. (In a kind way). Dr. Demerson and staff are OUTSTANDING! I went on a Tmhursday as a new patient with a 2:30pm appt. I cancelled everything on my agenda for the evening as I thought this would be a long wait and a lengthy visit. I was seated in the lobby for all of 10 minutes which was mostly spent completing the rest of my paperwork. After I was called to the back, my vitals were taken, and I taken to exam room. Dr. Demerson came in before I was able to hit send on a reply email...less than 5 minutes of waiting. She came in, asked a bunch of questions, and we chatted about my health and conceiving. She told me I was a high risk, but it wasn't anything she has not managed before. I'd like to start by saying that dr. Christofferson and her nurse are great. That being said the rest of the staff that I have come in contact with are very rude and unprofessional. I had a hysterectomy and because I have had a blood clot before I was put on lovenox injections after surgery. I gave myself the first injection and had a long list of bad side effects. I called the office 4 times during office hours and left messages and never received a call back. Now I'm scared because I don't want to give myself more injections but I know that I need to be on blood thinners. I then called after hours and dr. Demerson called me back, I asked if she could call in something else and she was very short with me and said that there was nothing she could do so just take baby aspirin and call my dr back on Monday. I called twice on Monday morning and everyone I spoke with was incredibly rude except for the nurse. I was told to stay by my phone because my dr would be calling back. By 3pm,still no call so I went to the office. Right away they said " you can't be in here, you're going to need to go back to your car. " I told them that I needed to speak to the dr. And explained what was going on. And again they act like they don't even care that if I get a blood clot I could possibly die! They wouldn't even call the nurse. Later that night I had very bad pain in my arm so now I think that I do have another clot and I still can't get through to talk to my dr! I do not recommend any of the drs here purely based on the super rude and unprofessional women that work the front office. And that's a shame because I love Dr. Christofferson! read more

I made an appointment with BA OBGYN because I moved to the area recently from Austin and needed a general women's wellness exam and birth control. Sadly, I can't even tell you about the experience because it never happened. My appointment was at 1:00 p.m. and it takes me less than 20 minutes to get to the office from where I work. I left at 12:00 though because I wanted to ensure an early arrival and even though I filled out everything online AND brought a hard copy of the forms, I thought I might be asked to fill out more paperwork (surprise, I was). I got stuck in awful traffic. There was a fatal accident on the feeder right where I was supposed to exit. I was stuck, not moving for more than 15 mins as we watched ambulances and medics make their way to the scene. At 12:45 I knew I wasn't going to make it on time and called the office. I spoke to someone on the phone and explained the situation and asked if there was any way that I could still see the doctor if I was late. She said it wasn't a problem and I thought great! So even though I was in god-awful traffic I was thankful my appointment that I had waited TWO months for wasn't cancelled. Once I get there (after an hour and 15 mins of traffic in an 8-mile distance) I checked in and started filling out MORE paper work. After waiting for 20 minutes I get called back up to the nurses counter and I was told that because I was late I wouldn't be able to see the doctor. I was confused. I explained the situation to the nurse how I called before hand and spoke to someone who said I could still come in (otherwise I would have just gone home!) She looked at the other nurse beside her who shrugged her shoulders and said it was probably the answering service. (It's not my fault you pay for an answering service that doesn't actually provide correct information). I asked if there was any way I could see ANY doctor that day and she asked me to take a seat and she would check the schedule. I waited another 15 mins and was so frustrated that I just walked out. I understand that doctors need to keep tight schedules. My sister is an RN and I know how hard these people work to see patients in a timely manner. I get it. But as a new patient who tried to do everything right and got caught in something that I couldn't control (this wasn't rush hour or a failure to plan ahead - it was a fatal accident on a one way road) AND calling the office to ask if it's ok to still come in and being told yes. I didn't appreciate having to wait an additional 40 minutes to be turned away. It was the worst experience I've ever had at a doctor's office. read more

This place used to be amazing. Dr. Abbott delivered my first two children and then retired from delivering babies. I then was seeing dr Millet for my third pregnancy and although she was great, my experience with the office staff had become quite unbearable. A week prior to delivery, I was going to be refused prenatal care until the remainder of my "deposit" had been paid. Not having a dollar to my name that day, I was forced to write a check so that I could be seen. I was treated and talked to as if I were scum. Again, I've been going here for over 15 years, so you'd think they'd know that I've never not paid or made a payment. I'm still a little taken back with my recent experience with the office staff and even more floored by the treatment I received from the older woman who handles the insurance for that office. I was so disgusted, I didn't even show up for my final prenatal visit . No staff should make a 40 week pregnant woman feel that stressed that they don't want to show up for an appointment. I truly feel for those who hit a financial bump along the way.. and even with insurance, best believe they'll refuse to see you until you pay the money thirsty office their money. I pray you have no complications for they, again, will refuse to care for you. At least this is my experience. I'd look elsewhere for prenatal care. read more

I saw Dr. Millet for a pregnancy. I really liked her at first. Key word first. Beginning of March I miscarried. I went in after I left the hospital because she wanted to see me. After we spoke in the office about what to do next. I decided to take medication to, for lack of better words, speed up the process. She assured me that it would work and that I would have no complications from it. A week later I came in for a follow up ultrasound. I still had some of the pregnancy product left. She suggested that I do another round of medication and yet again assured me that it would work. I came in for another follow up ultrasound.Well guess what?!?! It didn't work AGAIN. I asked if she could do a D&C cause I've missed a lot of work because of bleeding so much. She refused. The only answer I would get was "I like letting things happen naturally" or "I prefer to let nature take its course". I understand that completely but when you have a patient begging for something cause she is so weak some days she can't walk to the bathroom unassisted you need to listen. After 3 visits I had enough. I found another Doctor(who is freaking amazing). First thing he did was asked how long ago I miscarried and what my blood work said last time I had it done. It hit me that Dr. Millet had never ordered any type of blood work since my initial visit BEFORE I miscarried. Needless to say my blood work got done pretty quick. Turns out I was anemic. My hemoglobin was 3 points lower than it should be. I had voiced my concerns several times, on the phone and in person, about how much blood I was losing. Dr. Millet just kept saying that was normal or if I was in her office she would just laugh it off. The office staff for the most part was just as bad. They weren't very welcoming at all. WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. I suggest going else where. read more

She always answered all of my questions and concerns without making me feel ridiculous for asking them, and I truly felt as though she cared about me and my baby. I would highly recommend her. Before 2014 I would have given a five star review. After my horrible experience, they are lucky I gave them one star.My doctor for over 20 years had been Dr. Lillian Abbott. Amazing woman. She literally saved my life back in 1999. I was having an ectopic pregnancy. I went to her office and they rushed me to emergency surgery. My tube was about to rupture. Fast forward, July 2014. Dr Abbott is no longer delivering babies. Only Dr. Millet. I've met her before. Very nice. So I go to meet her for my confirmation of pregnancy appointment. This was a short visit. I did tell her I had some concerns because two years prior I had a miscarriage. She advised me that we would be doing blood work to watch my numbers. Okay. I get my blood draw at their office before I leave. I TOLD them that I think that I have to go to Quest to get my labs drawn. The following two blood withdrawals were done through Quest. About a week and a half after my first visit I get a call telling me that this didn't look like a good pregnancy. My heart just fell.Not again.Now week two and I still have not seen the Dr again and no ultrasound to confirm what they said to me over the phone. Saturday night and I start spotting. I try my hardest to calm down and wait till Sunday to see how I'm doing. Nothing in the morning. Good news? That afternoon, spotting again. I call the on call doctor. I explain to him what is going on and what I was told to which he replied "Well ifffff you want, you can go to the emergency room and they can check you out there." I was so blown away. Like am I the only one concerned here. I need help. I told him I would speak with my husband and decided from there. So we went to the ER. They did an ultrasound and said they couldn't see anything which lead them to believe I was having another ectopic. (This conclusion was made with the information I gave them on my last numbers I was told and the blood work they did in the ER and the ultrasound.)They said they were going to call the on call doctor and tell them what they found.They came back to me and told me what the on call doctor said. I could have lost it.He said (there words to me and since I just spoke with him hours earlier, I believed it.) "if you think you need to admit her then go ahead." OMG!!!! The ER doctor admitted me.Monday morning Dr. Millet came to my room and told me she was going to be releasing me and having me pick up a RX injection to breakdown the pregnancy. This would be the last time I would see her.This is now Aug 11th.I went to her office and her nurse saw me and gave me my injection. Then they withdrew blood from me to monitor my numbers. I was told there would be some bleeding and not to take my prenatal vitamins anymore. They wanted to do blood work every two days now.These were scheduled in their office. Keep in mind I'm trying to wrap my head around what I am going through.The only experience I had with an ectopic pregnancy was emergency surgery. Is this going to happen again? One week later I went back to do more blood work. No answers and no instructions.No guidance on what I was about to go through. My husband returned to work on Tuesday.My daughter went back to school on Wednesday. So Wednesday was my first day to be alone since I was admitted in the hospital. 11am: I started bleeding and cramping.The cramping became very intense. I didn't experience this with my miscarriage.What is going on here? I called the doctor's office and spoke with the operator and told her my situation and I needed to know if I was supposed to be going in to labor?She said she would have a nurse call me right back. I text my husband that I am concerned. (he works an hour away w/o traffic) I told him it felt like I was in labor.He asked me should he come home.I told him to wait because I was waiting to hear back from the doctor. *I labor fast - 1st child 9 hours; 2nd child 1 hour 12min.I waited. And waited. I turned my house alarm off and unlocked the front door just in case I needed to call 911. Was I about to rupture? What is going on?!!! 3 hours later I pass a mass. The pregnancy. I was still contracting. 5 minutes till 4pm my daughter and her bf and bf's mom came home. I asked her bf's mom to come in and asked her to sit with me. I was still scared. Then the doctor's office calls. It's the nurse. I told her what happen and she asked if I wanted pain medicine. I told her no. Just some ibuprofen 800mg. They told me to come in to do more blood work and I told them I needed to go to Quest. I did. My numbers were starting to go down. The expected me to be out for weeks more but I told them I wanted to go back to work. I couldn't handle the blood work over and over. Dealing with them. They couldn't educate me on what I was going through. I was so disappointed in the office. I asked to go back to work on the 15th. They filled out my FMLA paperwork to say I could return on the 16th.
